Hey, I'm trying to get a custom OS in my phone (A52s 5G) which actually gives me a way better battery life than OneUI, since I can't even get 24h of battery even after optimizations.
Does anyone know any OS (preferably A13) which is similar to Pixel Experience while giving me a 10/10 battery life?
Also I'd rather not lose 5G, if possible.. I don't really care about VoLTE since my provider doesn't offer it yet anyway
Thanks in advance

There is a custom kernel in these threads, I think it also has a better battery life.

I bought my Galaxy W and instantly started modding it, currently I'm on Arco's CyanogenMod 9 EOL, I didn't have much experience with the stock ROM you actually get with the phone, Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread with TouchWiz 4 UX.
My question is, is the stock ROM the most stable ROM with the best battery life you can get?
I would like to have some basic info like how smooth it is, the battery life, usability compared to the later CyanogenMod ROMs. I'd like to know whether its actually the best option except being kind of out of date now.
Thank you in advance :good:

From what I know the stock rom is better at keeping the battery use low during standby but i don't know whether that's true

I think that's true..
cause some Custom ROM come with some tweaks, some can keep the processor running low during standby. some also have some kind of better ram management.
Also if you want, you also can try some other kernel. cause some can even make longer battery life
switched for a tweaked stock 2.3.6 to a custom ICS and never looked back, the performance is just much better
I would say that my battery lasts longer with a custom rom. On stock sometimes it suddenly went off.
Currently I'm fine with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2214042. And the camera isn't green.
Is anyone know the best rom for battery life i have used stock rom gets barley 10 hours screen on time then switched to Legend rom i get 13 but some people gets 16 and 17 hours

Hey guys
I previously owned a Redmi Note 3 and flashed so many roms on that phone.
Now i just got a Redmi Note 5 Pro. Unlocked it. But currently I am very busy with assignments and don't have a lot of time.
So i can't keep flashing rom every few days.
Please recommend me a good Oreo rom. It should ideally not lag and have no random reboots. Basically I just want to flash and forget for a few months until Pie roms get very stable.
Thanks to all for their help.

Go for RR it's best so far in my opinion. Good bb ,no lags,no encryption ghost and of course edge gestures work really smooth on this rom.

Lineage OS 15.1 will be the best choice. Most stable & best battery life & no lag at all. Always go for lineage os official rom over others.

Bro listen! Lineage os is most widely used custom rom in the world. Your device has official lineage os 15.1. So you should flash it & see if you're happy with it. Only customizations not present in los. After that you can try any other rom you want.

"Bro listen" - This does not sound like suggestion, rather like a command. What is good for you does not really mean that it will be for someone else. For example, on devices I have used, RN5 included, pure AOSP roms performed better than Cyanogenmod/LineageOS ones. They have been smoother and better in battery life.
Just because something is official it doesn't translate to a better than everything else, MIUI is an official rom from Xiaomi yet some releases were a bug fest.
I've tried LOS/RR and than jumped to AOSiP Oreo, that's close to pure AOSP but with additional useful features and it has been more stable, smoother and more battery friendly than LOS/RR and overall performance was consistent. In combination with Insigniux/Derp kernel it's great.
I've seen reports of MSM as great one as well, so that can be considered as well.
Anyway you'll have to try different rom and kernel combinations to see what works for you.

Exactly.
Although I can understand why some newer members are just dazzled by the "official" tag especially in context of LOS.
I especially dislike LOS because of lack of so many useful features. Why should I need to use xposed and 10 modules to get those features when I have root and recovery and I can simply flash a feature rich aosp rom.

Ok. I apologise if i gave someone wrong suggestion. But i was telling from my experience as for me los official always works great with no single bug till now. What i've seen is people sometimes complain a lot about problems in other new roms. So i was saying in that way. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll flash aosip with derp kernel.
One question tho. I want an oreo rom with battery life similar to miui 9.6. can you suggest me that rom? Miui 9.6 is giving me 12 hrs & 13 minutes of screen on time. Thanks in advance.

No need to apologise to me, since your post wasn't directed to me. You didn't suggest anything wrong, but the way you suggested it was a bit wrong. Anyway, AOSiP is a clean rom with good features and a default Derp kernel is great for battery life, I have had up to 14h of SOT (that depends on usage of course) but as far as I remember it was never below 10h.

Neither one, it has Snap cam as default. You can additionally use whichever you want.
It's been a long time since I installed a rom on a device.
However I found my lg g3 and wanted to give it new life.
The battery life is crucial is my main requirement, however it would not be bad to have also excellent performances.

Just go with Lineage.. Try ResurrectionRemix and CRDroid for most tweaks, great performance, but average battery life. You have to find what is right with you and all your apps on your specific phone model. I find best battery life to be on CleanROM, but it is outdated. Still works fine though, just missing newer OS features. I am on a D850 and I rotate OS every few weeks and always come back to Candy7, CleanROM, or LineageOS as I seem to always get random reboots on anything else.
hedgecore44 said:
Assuming you do not care about security updates... I would use CleanROM (or Fulmics, but I prefer CLeanROM) for best battery, best camera quality, AND performance. I would use Candy7 for best performance (stable, smooth, and fast) IMO but a little lacking in battery and is missing some tweaks/features.. If you do care about security updates, latest Android features, and dont mind a mediocre battery then stick with Lineage 16 for now until 17 gains more traction. You will find decent performance and battery life in LineageOS, but not as good battery life as in CleanROM or Fulmics.. Try ResurrectionRemix and CRDroid for most tweaks, great performance, but average battery life. You have to find what is right with you and all your apps on your specific phone model. Bought the phone on launch day, 2.5 years later I still love it dearly and can't think of replacing it. Not with all the new flagships being heavier and bulkier, and not having headphone jacks either (where has the world come to?)
There's only one aspect of my OnePlus 5T that I want to improve. And that's battery life.
What are my best options? I'm looking for
- underclocking the CPU and GPU
- undervolting
- anything else software based?
I'm on stock Android 10 rom, locked bootloader etc. Never flashed anything on this device except official OTA update files.
Long live OP5T
You could check your battery health with accubattery or OnePlus diagnostic APK. If it is around or below 80% you could buy a new battery and replace it, it is quite easy. Software based solutions will not have a significant impact. Don't bother with undervolting, but underclocking is an option if you are that desperate and want to unlock the bootloader. If you have never had a factory reset you could give that a go, and start fresh.

Same here. Mine is 2.25 years old .
But I rooted my device last year.
Now it's bootloader unlocked.
Installed new A10 OOS . .
Blue Spark recovery and blue spark kernel .
Under clocked with FKM .
My battery capacity according to OnePlus diagnosis is 79%
But yesterday when I checked am getting 6+ hours SOT in 24 hrs last charge .
I usually don't charge my device beyond 80%
It degrades the battery.

As it is non gpl compliant it is far better than kanged kernels.
Basically, no bloated things, no kanged stuff. Pure performance and battery life. As (not to be racist) many indian kernel devs just kang each other you almost get the same experience with every kernel and this is why i dont like "open source". It doesnt help anyone. Kanging is easy and if they kang, they dont educate theirselves. Xceed does the opposite. I have used it on my galaxy note 8, it was the best. Now im using it on my 5t. Still the best.

It should support paranoid android rom (but no f2fs) someone on pa tried it and said it is working. Since xceed doesnt have "many" features, you dont need to use any kernel manager app(dev said apps lock up userspace. Idk what that means) i just use my phone daily and it gets me around 7-9 hours sot with a %78 battery health
