Do you guys think that this lineage rom is truly better than stock rom according to battery ? I am considering unlocking OEM and i think that battery life is the biggest advantage of that phone. Could you send me scr with battery stats ?

yes, the kernel is Matr1x Linaro
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324766
with du and glitch kernel.. its not that bad ...
I just want to know if my battery life is considered to be in a good margin. I wouldn't be asking if I hadn't unlocked my bootloader and tried out 3rd party ROMs and then eventually settled on a stock MIUI. I don't think that screen on time is bad, it's just that standby seems to drain battery more than I remember from when I used it with locked bootloader.

3 days with almost 9 hours screen on time is amazing. That's pretty much as good as your going to get .

Okay, thank you for replying. It was probably bad experiences with flashing ROMs on other phones and then having bad battery life that led me to believe that something was wrong.
miui is way better than those custom rom if you know how to use it the right way

Really Good Screen on time
You not need to install Custom Rom
Hello all
Note 5 is on offer in the UK for £99 so i've bought one to use as a high capcity mp3 player to take on holiday. I will be using it as a offline media player in aeroplane mode and perhaps the odd phone call.
Is there a better rom for battery life?
Still fairly new to this but have rooted and installed a custom rom on my old g6 plus, which I now use a hi fi server/chromecast audio remote... it seems that Xiaomi's are a little more complex though.
Any advice appreciated!
I recommend AEX Official 6.5 Oreo Firmware with Basic Kernel. Best battery backup for me.
Here are the links:

AOSIP.. Very good Rom
AOSIP Derpfest. Over 9hrs SOT for me.

I couldn't find information, apart from the battery life what are the differences between Aosip and Aosip derpfest?
If it's just for playing music offline and a phonecall now and then, why don't you try miui first? I get 10 hrs sot on latest pie.
I wouldn't suggest pre installed music player though.
If your device is new, any rom will give you a good battery life, I use Whyred as a secondary phone and I can easily get 10-11 of sot with any rom/kernel (the device has 3 months, the battery is practically new), so don't worry about that, use the one you like the most, it will work well.
With one thing and another it's taken me two days to get the bootloader unlock started and now I have to wait 7 days! Will the thing actually unlock then?

NOT pixel experience. It's a great rom but currently there's a bug that limits the battery to 85% of it's total capacity

Sorry, i misspellt. Battery, not banner .
Since pixel experience is by a far margin the most popular rom for whyred, i thought that it would be good to put this here.

Again, what?
Do you know that battery info is stored inside the batterydata of the kernel dts and it's R/O?
Batterydata of PE kernel (The important here is "qcom,nom-batt-capacity-mah").
Rom info, CPU-Z and Ampere, If your apps have bugs, blame the apps not the rom, I'm sorry, but your previous statement doesn't make any sense.
Also, you can make a cat/grep of the battery info with any terminal app.
Funny, my phone is locked, I not use any custom Stuff. I'm on the latest MIUI 10.3.1 with Stock Kernel and Android 9. I have 18% left and have already over 9 hours of SOT and my phone is 7 months old, with daily usage.
Here the Screenshots
i bought a mi 6 from a friend, but i don't want using miui,so is there any custom rom has good battery life for this phone?

Thanks but i already replace the phone XD
Hey, I'm looking for a kernel that gives great battery life and performance at the same time. I currently have installed a custom OS in my phone, so it's not running stock, but a port of the S21FE, you may already know it since it's for this device.
Any suggestions are accepted
Hi,
I'm not actually using any custom kernel for that purpose but I'm using NCX custom rom : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-port-oneui5-1-ncx-s21fe-rom-sm-a528b.4526805/ and I can confim that it's really great for everythng and for battery life as well.
If you are in mind to try a custom rom, yo ucan do that and check by yourself !

Yeah, that's the ROM I'm using, was gonna ping the author but forgot his full username. Overall it's because I've got almost 8h SOT every day and I'm a really heavy user so I need the best battery life possible

You could debloat further NCX rom in order to maximize battery life by using https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...mate-app-manager-debloat-tool-tweaks.4147837/. BTW, if this is not enough you have no choise but to try the custom kernel and see if it helps https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/kernel-12-13-a528b-n-mesas-custom-kernel-r5.4490653/
