I took the plunge on the OOS12 update,(f18) and I see there is a newer one (f20) so I downloaded it via Oxygen Updater program, and I can't find the option to manually update with the downloaded rom file. Can anyone chime in?
Found the solution:

Have to install the APK for manual install separately after upgrade to OOS12.

Updating the app won't get you oreo
Updates are pushed out in regions - they are geo restricted & also based on your current firmware
If you really want oreo the firmware from india/Brazil has been posted - just flash it via fastboot or just wait until they push it to your country & firmware version
Hey I was wondering, my wife just got her OTA notification for oreo and we have identical g5's cedric. I wanted to try to capture it on my phone so I restored to 137-93-14 and checked for updates.. It doesn't detect the ota.. Is it possible that having an unlocked bootloader and root prevents me from receiving it? I think I read somewhere that unlocked phones have it last. My wife's phone is totally stock untouched.
The reason I wanted to capture it even though the ota is everywhere on XDA is that I tried the twrp flashable oreo on my device and it didn't work. Which made me wonder if our update has something different than other phones (probably not) cause it seems that I'm the only one on the twrp oreo thread that hasn't been able to flash that update.
Btw I know I can't install official ota with my modified system I wasn't going to try it
Hi,
I hope I'm in the right part of the forum, if not please move it to the right section, thank you.
I tried to update my rooted OP7T 10.0.7.HD65BA (EU) via an OTA obtained through oxygen updater (as I still don't have the prompt to update through system updates).
The OTA install failed at 98% and I can't seem to get it to retry, it now fails at 0% (see screenshot).
Of course I uninstalled Magisk (restore images) prior to attempting the update.
Is there a guide I can follow to update partition_a to 10.0.8?
EDIT:
I just realised I left this post unattended. I found a fix but I didn't document it, sorry.
I hope nobody ever gets in this situation, 'cause I definitely wouldn't be able to help (goldfish memory)
I was able to update normaly to 10.0.9 rooted without issue.
Hey, My phone doesn't support OTA update, so I need flash in order to get security update. Where can I get individual update package (a zip that only contain the update's files, not include the complete rom) for lineageOS?
Anyway, my phone is Redmi 4A, I can't find my device on the lineage os download page

First of all you need to know lineageOS versionen. Ideall with who made it.
So, this may be a dumb question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I have my phone for almost two years now, and it used to get the updates the right way, until the 12.0.7, then it just stopped getting any updates, when I checked it says "no updates avaliable".
Searching yesterday, I manage to update it to 12.0.8 by changing the device region to India, but it just stopped there, I can't update to 12.5 or further.
While searching i've seen that the devices different from QGGMIXM (which mine is), like RGGMIXM already got the updates.
I even tried to install the 12.5 update (for RGGMIXM) manually and it said it could not verify the update.
Is there any way to change QGGMIXM to RGGMIXM or to get the update without changing it? Any help are appreciated

1/ Just tried vpn, didn't work
2/ Neither downgrading or upgrading worked, downgrading says it's unable to downgrade and tried to upgrade says it couldn't verify the update
3/ I haven't tried this yet, but I'm guessing it'll be the only way to update it.
Hi, im on 12.5.11.0.RJSEUXM and I want to upgrade to miui 13, but after downloading the zip, and trying to install it with the updater app (choosing a zip from menu) its says "unable to verify, you cant install this stable rom"
Is there any way to fix that and install the rom? putting that zip as "update.zip" at the root of my internal storage and booting into recovery does nothing (in previos versions an option called "update.zip to system" was there)
Or I need to do something more to update?
Thanks.
Each recovery ROM seems to be verified at Xiaomi servers during upgrade process and if they block the installation for whatever reason, you're out of luck. The reason might be that the ROM is supposed to be used only by selected testers, in a specific region or maybe the ROM was pulled due to major bugs (I saw some complaints about SIM/network incompatibility in Europe). I can't install this update as well. It is possible to force the installation via fastboot, but I believe that Xiaomi has a good reason why they prevent us installing this version. I'm waiting until it arrives on its own as an OTA update..

Oh..ok yes its safer to wait. Thanks
Just to confirm - I never received 13.0.2.0 EU ROM, nor I was able to install it via sideload/ROM updater. I couldn't install 13.0.4.0 manually either, but today I got the update over OTA and installation went through without any issues.
