Vertical Lines on TV Start - Philips, Sony, TCL Android TV

Hi,
I have a TCL S6500 TV. On TV start up, TCL logo appears see and then some vertical lines start to appear and cover entire screen. I have attached a video that should be elaborating the details.
Apparently, it seems a hardware fault (like some missing voltages). I want to troubleshoot it. Can someone help me out how to check this issue step by step. Thanks.

Capturing the screen with the HD

Hello Gents,
I am wondering if I can use some help with the following questions:
I had downloaded the hotfixes from HTC (the device response time, the display flicker and response sliding bar)
Everything went fine but later on I was trying to place a video call and I noticed that the video call button (the one below to the * key) has the letters of (Call Hi....) just about the lowest edge of the button. So when I tab the button, I get the call history instead of the video call.
I unistalled the fixes and restarted the device but nothing new. I just do not wanna direct you through the fixes but I am just saying all what happened. Have you faced teh issue before?
The second issue is: How can I make a screen shot of the phone,. like the ones I see on site here, is there any software to do it, something like the active synch or I have to be a developer to be able to do it...
Thanks indeed for the help
Hi, for screenshots I use MyMobiler(.com)

Swimming screen

Hi Fairphoners,
I have my FP1 device from the first badge, and everything was fine until today. My phone started to shift upwards the screen at every refesh. It does not change if I do not tap the screen, but every time the screen is refreshed, it goes upwards with a few line. This behavior does not effect the touchsceern, I have to tap it on the "original place" if I want e.g to start an app.
Itis like the FP would have an offset on the display which is increased by every refresh, I can see everything, but not at a constant place (e.g the top of the screen is somewhere ind the middle).
I did several re-boot, and I have this behavior during the start-up screen (blue fairphone screen) as well.
Does anyone knows what the problem might be? How can I fix it?
If my description is not enough, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for all the help.
Cheers,
Pipacsba

Videos Randomly Pausing

This problem is most noticeable when watching YouTube, and I haven't toyed with too many other video apps to determine if it also happens, but while watching videos, the video will randomly pause.
Doesn't matter what brightness the phone is at, the phone isn't too warm when it happens, doesn't matter if I have headphones plugged in or not, etc. And it's not like an accidental screen touch, because touching the screen once shouldn't pause the video, just show the controls.
I've tried a full factory reset of my phone and it's still occurring. Has anyone experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting? It's incredibly annoying...
Edit: I should clarify this isn't pausing while buffering - this is acting like someone pressed pause mid-video - on screen controls appear, home button appears, status bar appears, and the "Play" icon to press and continue playing the video.
I have the exact same problem.
Did you manage to resolv it?
I have LG H815 SEA and i'm on stock ROM, because i can't root or install custom ROM
The same thing happens to me. I've figured it out why it happens - and it happens in all full screen apps - bottom home touch screen buttons appear together with top notifications bar for just a split second - if you look you'll see it. That causes youtube app to pause the video, and behaviours are different in other apps. It is really annoying and I haven't found a fix yet.
Same issue here with a brand new LG v20, even happens after I take the case off. No idea what could be the issue. And same with the video being fully loaded, and being on o off Wi-Fi doesn't help . Please someone give us an answer!!!!

I had this problem with a galaxy S4. Try going to Settings -> Apps -> Three dots button on top right -> Show System -> Scroll down to media storage -> Storage -> Then Clear Data.
This seemed to fix it for a while. If there is a single app your particularly have the issue with, try reinstalling that app.

Startup screen

Hey everyone,
my android tv used to start up to the home screen as far as I recall. Lately it starts with some TV program. Do you know how I can change it back?
Thanks

Can I stop the Cube’s Alexa taking up the entire TV?

Just grabbed a 2nd gen Cube on prime day for the bedroom TV.
I had an echo previously but gave it away as the cube has Alexa built in. Trouble being whenever I ask Alexa anything it takes over the entire screen, if I ask for weather instead of just telling me it like the echo did. It says what the temp etc is but also puts it on the TV screen.
If I drop in to the echo downstairs a diaper takes up the entire screen. If I ask a question it displays the question and answer on the entire screen. If I’m watching something or playing a game it still does it.
I know you can turn the alexa off but I don’t want to disable the Alexa completely. I just don’t want to have a dial screen/weather take over the entire TV.
Is there a way to disable that?
thanks
