Question boot img Pixel 6 Pro - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Greetings, I can't find the boot image needed to flash magisk on my Pixel 6 Pro, running T2B3.230109.004, where can I find it? Or is it possible to extract it from the phone? Thanks!

Take the factory image and extract everything from that. Then you'll see another zip that is named "image-raven-xxxxx". Extract everything from that zip and that's where you'll find the boot image.

You need to use the boot image from the build you are currently on, which looks to be QPR2 Beta 3.1 that was released today?

Factory image works just fine, make sure you have the latest fastboot and adb, and give it time.

I use minimal adb and fastboot which comes with version 1.0.35 rc and that works for me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Apparently there's a newer version too, 1.0.36 which you can get from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/tool-updated-adb-version-1-0-32-fastboot-t2932160
of course the latest is always available via the android sdk, but who can be bothered download all of that just for adb and fastboot.

Many thanks indeed for this. I did not know how to get the batch file to work but managed to run each command separately within command prompt and it worked a treat. Now the new ROM is installed, is there anyway to get this version rooted?

Hi.
Have you noticed that since beta 1, the smart Dark function in the developer options is no longer available?
It is only available in the search results in the parameters, but is no longer available. Have you noticed ?
It is no longer possible to turn dark mode off for applications that do not integrate it natively.

Done.
I installed beta 2 over stable eu, I didn't flash the magisk patched or anything... I was rooted on stable, so I just downloaded the full beta 2 rom, flashed via Local upgraded, didn't reboot, went back to magisk and flashed magisk 20.4 (Inactive slot after Ota) and rebooted. No bricks, no bootloop.

Hello,
Yes you can flash full OTA of 11.2.6.6LE15BA without any problem without losing anything through local upgrade.
Or you can do what i did, download a downgrade ota file. In my case i was in 11.2.5.5LE15DA and downloaded downgrade OTA of 11.2.5.5LE15BA and flashed again through local upgrade, but since this was a "downgrade" it wipes all data. I didnt mind the wiping since i couldnt wait for the new update for too long.
How to downgrade the current version?

No need to be rooted. You go to the Downgrade zips links and download whichever variant you want of the 11.2.5.5. Then through Settings-System updates- Local upgrade, pick the downgraded zip you downloaded. It will promt you that you are Downgrading and it will wipe data, and after you confirm it and install it, phone reboots into recovery wipes data, reboots to android setup.

It may be helpful to uninstall Magisk, then patch the image again. A screenshot of the issue or details about the error would be helpful.

Appreciate, but 9.9 will probably not work.
However, if you just updated to 9.9, you may still have 8.8 boot in currently inactive slot.
Well I can attach both boot.imgs, but no guarantees that I still have 8.8.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/0r5h9v4qj3u8r3c/boot_a.img/file is the only boot file I can grab you, both a and b boot.imgs are the same. You can try flashing the boot.img, it shouldn't cause much harm.

Yeah, the size will be the same. Did you binary compare them or got a checksum, because the contents may be different.
If you could share both, I'd really appreciate that! This may save me from having to MSM my phone and doing backup/restore to get to a good state.
Well I haven't had time to checksum, but the second file uploaded faster than the first, even though it was the same size. That most likely indicates MediaFire identified the images as similar, thus there isn't much difference in boot.img files.
