My Google calendar notifications started to come through the media volume and not the ring volume, so I lose all the Google calendar notifications, because I have the media (music) volume always low.
I am desperate to find a solution to my problem because I have searched too much about my problem in Google without any luck.
I think that the problem started happening after turning off Google assistant on my device or changing some setting of Google assistant but I am not sure. My device is Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE
Please help me
ok, I found out that the problem with google calendar notifications tied to media volume, exists on all Xiaomi smartphone that I tested. The problem does not exist on Samsung and Realme smartphones.
I do not understand why the same application is tied to notifications volume as it sood be and on Xiaomi phones is tied to media volume. This is unacceptable.
I am looking for an answer in the XDA forum, in a Greek forum for xiaomi phones (xiaomi-miui.gr), in another Greek forum related to smartphones (myphone.gr), in the Google support forum for Android, in the xiaomi.eu forum and on the new.c.mi.com forum. After a whole month I have not found a solution and no one has helped me. Please if anyone can help me.

My apologies if this has been asked in the past... my research suggests that it's an old issue.
I am having a problem getting the volume from the Google Maps GPS to be equal to other sound output. Example, when I am listening to music from Google Music and I have turn-by-turn navigation on, when instructions are spoken to me they come in at about twice the volume as my music. I know that in the past Google used to have separate volume levels for navigation and other applications but that seems to have been removed for a few years.
In short, has anyone else been able to find a way to adjust the navigation volume separate from the main volume? I was thinking that maybe Waze handles navigation volume differently... maybe I'll try that.
Thank you
I too would like an answer to this question.
It makes using my phone for car audio really uncomfortable.
Hi all,
my Google Now reminders fail to vibrate. The reminders will vibrate and play notification sounds on the phone though, but on the watch I can only see the card if I occasionally activate the display.
Actually those Google Now reminders would be extremely helpful as I can quickly set them up by voice command, but the missing vibration renders them useless.
Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem as well?

I am actually surprised hardly anyone is commenting about the issues with Google Now on the watch. It makes me believe my watch is damaged somehow.
Since the upgrade to 1.4 Google Now is very inconsistent. I get cards on the phone and not on the watch, not even a vibrate. I installed "Feel The Wear" and get vibrations but no cards. I have to open the Google app on the watch to see what was the notification.
Integration with Google Now was the reason I chose Android Wear instead of Samsung Gear.
Now it seems Google does not care about Android Wear.
I was also surprised that there was no feedback to my thread here. I was also searching different sites and found evidence, that there is indeed a problem with the Google Now reminders.
Example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/45jfym/google_reminders_will_not_cause_the_watch_to/
But I still don't know if it is not working for everyone. It would be good if someone who has working vibration notification for Google Now reminders could comment on this thread.
I guess the question should be be:
Who is having NO problems with Google Now on this watch?
I haven't had any issues with Google Now but I don't use it for a lot of things other than sports scores and weather.
Hello everyone, someone had problems with the Android 8.1 beta and the WhatsApp application? Since I updated, by pressing Play and taking the phone to my ear to listen to an audio message, it sounds through the external speaker (not the internal one). As if that were not enough, by plugging the proximity sensor the audio sounds with the volume of the Telephone application (not the multimedia one), which is usually quite high. If I discover the sensor, it sounds with the multimedia volume. Is it just a beta problem? Did someone else have this problem? Thank you all!
Sensor
I had the same problem. And issues with the camera too !! The photos with flash get black.
The final version of Android Oreo is also having this problem
Yes, same problem but I don't know a fix.
Did you report this to Google?
Same here, 8.1 final, got the OTA yesterday. A factory reset didn't help. I found this post on google forums about the issue: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/mlFRoZ07yq8;context-place=forum/nexus
I have the same problem, but in additon to that, while listening to a voice (coming out from the speaker whilt near my ear), if I receive any notification, the voice switches to the earpiece.
Before the OS update it was the othwr way arround, the voice was coming out of the earpiece correctly, but switches to the soeakerphone when I reveive any notification
I am using a nexus 5x
This is a known issue. It was first noticed / introduced in Android 8.1, around Dec/17.
It's not a problem with Android per say, but how the app implement or work with the platform. In other words, the app need to get fixed, adjusted to the new platform. Other apps, like Google Allo and Telegram have been reported to have the same problem, by some users.
I submitted a bug report myself to Whastapp and got this response:
Hi,
Thanks for your message.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We are aware of the issue and we are working on fixing it in a future update of WhatsApp. Unfortunately, we can't comment on any future release dates at this time.
Best Regards,

Lot's of other people have experienced this problems as evident in googles forum. I'm new so I can't post the link here.
I recommend submitting a bug report in Whatsapp to influence them to make an effort to fix this as soon as possible. It's been 3 months already. To submit, in Whatsapp got to settings> Help> Contact us. Post a quick description of the problem, click next.
Hello dear readers,
I recently purchased an Vibe p1 c58 and i think its pretty awesome except a few issues.
the major issue for me is that when i use it for skype calls ( i use my phone for skype every day ) then often the one i am talking to complains that the sound suddenly gets very loud as if i was shouting. this did not happen on my iphone 6 that i used before. This makes me conclude that it must be either of these things:
1. Android
2. Lenovos Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic
3. skype for android
i have searched the web but all i could find was pc issues with skype and the sound levels, there are no functions or features in skype, neither in any menu of android that lets me toggle on / off settings related to the speaker / mic.
will a custom rom fix this or are there any settings to help remove the issue ? id rather not play with that though as it is brand new 1 week old.
Another issue i have is that i cant seem to update it, it is currently on 6.0.1 build VIBEUI_V3.1_1627_5.419.1_ST_P1c58 model number Lenovo P1c58.
something else i've noticed is that some of the text on the phone in random places is chinese even thought it is set to English.
hope i can get some help so that i didnt buy a phone that i cant use, sorry for the wall of text but i would like to be as clear with as much detail as possible.

No one are knowledgeable in this area or have some ideás / related issues ?
The phone was new in december. Android 11. MIUI Global 12.5.7 stable
The ring is loud when someone is ringing me. When I ring someone else I can barely hear it and when they talk it is so quiet that it's hard to understand what they are saying.
I've tried three different equalizer apps with no result.
I've changed region to outside the EU TO avoid EU controls again with no result.
Under Sound effects - there are Dolby effects and a graphic equaliser which are working and under that there is "Mi Audio" which is greyed out and if it was working would include "adjustment of volume - personalise the volume according to your perception"
I've discovered the solution myself and I think it will work for all Xiaomi phones -
Open parameters and swipe down until you see Mi account,
Open Mi account and swipe down until you see Xiaomi cloud,
Open Xiaomi cloud and swipe down until you see Bluetooth where there is a button - switch it off
That's it.
When the button is on it stores your bluetooth info to the cloud every time it syncs but it seems to cause a conflict.
You don't lose any bluetooth info by turning this button off nor is it necessary to turn off your bluetooth - all your devices will link as before without having to input any info again.
