Hello,
I have a problem and I hope someone can help me. Is it possible to keep mobile data always on? the user cannot disable them.
I look forward to a solution. THX
Yes, there's an option in developer options (click 7 times on MIUI version to enable this settings) and under Network you'll find options to keep mobile data always active

hi all, i have had a look through the forum but dont seem to be able to find anything. for some reason when i reboot my phone it comes back on then my mobile data will start up if i turn the mobile data off it will start an hour or so later have turned off as many of the auto updates that i can find. any sugestions or help would be much appreciated as its starting to bug me now. thank you
Auto updates shouldn't turn on mobile data, perhaps it's some kind of bad app/process/service that is starting it.
Try installing a firewall or a data monitor app in order to see which process demands data connection.
If this doesn't help a hard reset probably will.
If it happens that you never use mobile data (I don't) you can just erase your APN settings.
thanks for the reply whats a good data monitor app any suggestions ?
Try TrafficInfo
nice one will get this installed then see who is the culprit lol
hi ya 3722 i have traffic info installed and from what its saying its the dialer thats starting up my data conection this cant be right can it ? nothing comes up under user just a few things in system and the dialer is always at the top
Hm..
Go to settings>>wireless and networks>> scroll down and see if there is a tick on "mobile network", then tap on "mobile networks" at the bottom you'll see "enable always-on mobile data" turn it off if it isn't already.
As for the Dialer demanding connection, I don't know if TrafficInfo is showing it wrong or if it's really the case, anyway you can try clearing the dialer's data and cache.
lol its still the same m8, dont worry about it i'll put up with it untill i flash RCMixHD, thanks for your help its a strange one its baffled me
Yeah sorry for not being very helpful but I am running out of ideas, and yes flashing a new rom should fix this annoyance.
running out of ideas you and me both lol, ah well time to go flash again. thanks again m8.
Hi all!
Although everything that affects mobile data usage is switched off on my Lumia (still running 8.1 , waiting for an official update), the device keeps consuming hundreds of mB of mobile traffic (mobile data, not wi-fi). Data Sense app reports that it is caused by the "system" app, so I suppose the reason are updates. As long I can't disable this behaviour, I consider the device as unusable.
Does W10M offer better mobile data management or is there a hack/an app? For W10 Desktop there is "O&O Shut Up!" that provides for deactivating or reactivating every update and privacy setting. Would be nice to see such an app for W10M.

Sure there is an option, but the system keeps sucking some data through the cellular connection...
(BTW iPhones have the same problem, Apple admitted that there are some updates who ignore the setting and it is done on purpose. That's why I am testing a Windows Phone hoping that the don't do like that.)
Have you tried Settings>Network & wireless>Data usage? There you get Overview and from there tap edit. You should see Data plan and beneath you should see Restrict background data. There you can choose "Never" or "When I'm near my limit" or "Always". Click on "Always" and that should do it. Hope it helps.
Hi All,
I am having a lot of problem with the internet data on my phone; I can browse and use any internet required app when using wifi but I am unable to do some things using my Data plan.
Whats weird is that I can use whatsapp, olx or facebook messenger to send text messages but cannot send images through them, I am able to play games such as Clash of Clans or Clash Royale but I cannot use Uber because it just keeps signing in but it never does.
At this point I don't think theres a problems with the hardware but with a specific setting I may need to modify (May be wrong though)
Heres what I've tried so far:
- Factory reset
- Reset Network settings
- Erase and add all of the APNS for my phone company
- Check on the mobile data (enable and disable) and enable roaming data.
- Made sure the SIM fits properly on the slot
- Uninstall and reinstall all the apps that I have had problems with.
- Everything tested ok when using wifi but it starts happening when I start using my mobile data.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I love the phone but am pretty disappointed on this situation I am having, Am even thing of maybe go back to Android 6.0 and see if 7.0 is the problem
Thanks!!!
Victor
Hi,
You need to check your sprint account and check if there is some restriction on your phone number
I had the same problem, everything ok with wifi but data partially working.
What i did is install the HiddenMenu apk then:
-LG Hidden Menu
-FieldTest
-NAO Test
-NAOT
-NAOT Settings > Enable > NAO Carrier: i selected ATT.
Then i restarted the phone and voila.
When i restart my phone i get an anoying Activating Device Popup. What i do is unlock the phone before it appears and when it comes up i slide down the notification bar and go to settings many time until the popup dissapears.

after the last update this application has ceased to work. How can I fix the problem with the transfer of mobile Internet data on the phone?

Hi
I bough a demo retail p30 pro and im trying to get it to work as a regular phone
I removed the demo and p30 pro experience programs. Then i found out ill be missing few options
Like lockscreen. (i also found out if u install google's Find my phone it will enable lockscreen passcode and i also can enable finger print option now)
Most important issue now is i cant seems to have mobile data O_O. Mobile data toggle is on but theres no mobile data, i also cant enable LTE, in the dropdown the data option is grey (cant click it)
I also checked each app permission to access mobile data but i cant toggle those on either
Does anyone have any solution for that?
Good evening, my pixel 6 USB preferences is missing from the status bar and also for some reason it will not keep the roaming network I pick and chooses to act like automatic.
I need it to stay on a specific network so u don't get roaming charges internationally, but when I click on the roaming network I want, it goes to the next one. I have automatically connect to network off. Anyone offer any help please?
Thank you in advance
Try a network reset if you haven't.
Clear system cache.
I will try that thank you, and about the USB preferences missing, anyway to add them to status bar?

Don't know. Check Developer options.
This seems to be a common complaint... you may need to work around it.

Yeah, couldn't find the option in developmer options not sure why the removed such a very useful feature
Can you fix the title to make more contextual sense for anyone browsing?
We don't want to read "Help please", it'd be better for everyone to read "[Help] USB Status Notification Missing" or whatever would better describe your issue.
I hate to say it, but the only thing I can think of to try is a factory reset. But I don't know if it'll help. The USB settings in Developer Options is present for me.
In the developer option I have a "Default USB configuration" toggle which then brings up a sub menu for the various options (File Transfer, USB Tethering, MIDI, PTP and No data transfer". Is this what you meant, or were you looking for an option to switch on a quick tile in the main notification drop down? If the latter, I don't think that exists in Android 12.
