The Google Assistant button on my Moto G 5G Plus (XT2075-3) no longer works, even after a reboot. Nothing happens when I press the button. I'm running build no. RPNS31,Q4U-39-27-9-2-9.
If I boot into Safe Mode I do get a response from the GA button - a blank white circle pops up at the bottom of the screen.
I'm also running the Tasker app - does anyone know if this interferes with the GA button?

I just got a note 2,switched from a Nexus. I disabled menu/back buttons and enabled soft keys. I also disabled the S voice double click but even though it's disabled, when I hold Down the button, S voice still turns on. So I uninstalled S voice but when I hold down the button, i get a quick black screen where Touchwiz is trying to open S voice but it doesnt load up.
When I hold down the home button on my brothers note 2 ,S voice doesn't load up, so why the he'll is touchwiz loading up S voice when it's uninstalled and isn't supposed to happen in the first place
I'm on android 4.3 and noticed that it no longer has a soft screen off button on my notification pull down menu. I loved this feature on my previous ROM since it saves me from using the hard home or power buttons.
I looked through google play store but was unable to find an app. I don't need it to lock but to just turn off the screen.
Any suggestions please?

How did you turn the screen back on ???
You could use something like power toggles, add the toggles that locks screen, then go to lock screen and set it to none.
That worked for me. I just tried it. Not sure if that's really what you are looking for.....
That turns off the screen, and pressing home button or power button turns screen back on.
Did you look at "Screen Off and Lock" in PlayStore? I think it had ability to add screen off in dropdown notification.
I stumbled upon an error in Google Maps lately, where after entering the destination a flashing blue circle that sometimes shows a black cursor appears in the middle of the map. After it appears, the devices screen isn't usable anymore and if I press the power button and press it again, the blue circle will still be on the lockscreen. If I keep pressing the power button to turn off the device the circle activates the children mode. I can only get rid of it, if I completely shut down the device (by pressing the louder and power button long enough). So now I wanted to ask, how can I use Maps normally again?
Sick, I have exactly the same problem...
I basically have my home button not set for Google assistant, yet everytime I tap the home button to close out a screen I get that Google circles animation occuring when touching the home button.
I managed to get rid of this behavior by re-enabling Google app as I had it disabled before.
It appears that disabling the Google app is what triggers the home button animations, regardless of having Google assistant off . Bug or feature?

Hi everyone,
I have configured hands-free mode on my phone but after a while stop working (if I say "alexa" nothing happen). Then I configure again and alexa works as it should but after a while stop working again.
Anyone facing the same problem?

Yep doesn't work for me either
It will work the first time then the 2nd time you see the location icon appear on the status bar and nothing happens
If you press the alexa mic icon manually it will work
What I ended up doing was assigning the long press of the power button to alexa so now when I long press it it acts as my assistant and brings up the alexa prompt eliminating the need to say a key word to open alexa. (Hold the power button down even longer for the usual power options)
