I recently installed LOS for microG 19-20221023 surya. On my previous install of regular LOS, the method outlined in this post got my SIM working again. Now, nothing seems to work.
How would I go about solving this problem? Thank you in advance!
I know it sounds stupid but how leaving microG aside - would that make it work again?
PS: Perhaps you'll find more help in "your" more specific threads

Really surprised how little love this phone is getting given its price. I know the Mediatek chipset is an issue but I've seen devs on XDA do crazier stuff before. Given how cheaply this phone can be picked up are there any dev out there up for the challenge?
Its a mediatek processir so ( for now) no camera2api! So no gcam...
Can any Gcam for realme 1 update with Android pie & camera 2api enebled
Hello all,
Jason here,
Few days ago my redmi note 4 has died because of spoiled IC.
So I was wondering to get either Poco F3 or Samsung a52.
Do state the pros and cons of the selection
Usage
- Play game like brawl star, but quitting soon. as it is getting boring. After that not into gaming anymore
- Smooth display as I dont like the lagging when surfing the web or switching between apps
- Battery life must be good
- Storage must be good, as I have quite a number of apps wanting to download and test out.
- Camera should be decent ( If it is not , installing gcam should solve the problem i guess ) [Need some insight on this] ???
- Able to stand at least 3-4 years
- must support AR Core
Thank You.
Regards,
Jason
I'd suggest the POCO F3 because of the Snapdragon 870. Had the same question and I will go for the F3.
I'd suggest F3, too.
I'm not a gamer, but this phone will probably be a worthy successor of my current OnePlus One (and obviously of the Pocophone F1).
- Play game like brawl star, but quitting soon. as it is getting boring. After that not into gaming anymore (Poco f3, flagship range SoC)
- Smooth display as I dont like the lagging when surfing the web or switching between apps (Neck and neck, both have 120Hz with poco f3 having a brighter screen)
- Battery life must be good (neck and neck again, both have similiar sized batteries, but suspect the A52 would do better by 10-20%)
- Storage must be good, as I have quite a number of apps wanting to download and test out. (UFS 3.1 on Poco F3, Samsung didn't mention, so assume Poco F3 as winner)
- Camera should be decent ( If it is not , installing gcam should solve the problem i guess ) [Need some insight on this] ??? (Samsung is better, but the Poco stands near. GCAM is going to take awhile to be implemented for the Poco, as it's a pretty new SoC)
- Able to stand at least 3-4 years (no comments on this, can't guarantee build quality nowadays)
- must support AR Core (Samsung A52 confirmed support, no information on Poco yet)
check this short opinion from Dave2D
ahh okay, wish me luck to get the Poco F3 tonight, I missed out yesterday~
Stay tuned ~

Where are you buying Poco f3?
For international shipping, I only found in Aliexpress, but the start sale will happen in 29 of march.

Mine is just pre order though, too bad the Poco F3 dint restock
An overlooked aspect of F3 is the vibration motor. It is the more expensive motor used in Mi 10T Pro and Mi 11. Which offers great haptic feedback. Samsung use a cheaper motor in A52 and A72.
F3 is better than A52 without any question.

Ahh what is the use of the vibration motor ??
Btw is the 6GB + 128GB enough ??? For 3 - 4 years usage ??
As the 8gb + 256Gb out of stock
Well at my country Samsung S20 FE and Oneplus 8T costs almost like Pocophone F3...
I'm not sure what I should get, I'm not gaming much.
I recently bought an Oppo A91 and is amazing. Its camera is good but I wanted to take pics at night. I installed several Google Camera ports but the best one overall is the MCG one:
BSG: MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix
Download MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix by BSG.

However, all picture camera modes (Night Sight, Portrait, and Camera) look laggy. The previewer is not smooth at all as you can see in the video.

Furthermore, I tested several ports and each of them had the same issue. Oddly, it never happens when I'm using the other modes like video camera, panoramic, or 360. It strictly happens when I want to take a regular picture.
I have attempted multiple things. Some of them crashed the app, and I was forced to the cache to make it work again. Recently, I even read in a forum a similar case. The individual only disabled the Google Lens integration but in my case, it didn't work at all. In another case, I checked something about the "buffer fix":
. However, I didn't have anything similar and it's for an older version 6 something.
Currently, I'm running the Google Camera in ColorOS 7.2 (Android 10) without any modification.
As some final thoughts, generally speaking, the camera works well. You can take amazing pics but it looks laggy and feels odd. I just would like to know if it can be fixed. Thanks for your ideas.
I would be interested to know too....
Built wise not as good as the Mi A3, and has a P70 SOC, but has better screen
The Mediatek SOC is most likely the source of the lagg, since GCAM is built for Snapdragons
Apart from lagging preview, tap-to-focus doesn't work well too, compared to same models of Snapdragon SoC variants...
e.g. Realme GT Neo vs Realme GT

Good news.
I've experienced the same lagging problem too, but just tried Google Camera Go variant it seems the lagging is gone.
Thread 'Google Camera Go (unlocked)' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/google-camera-go-unlocked.4298355/
Preview is not lagging, focus works correctly, and the Dark Mode is as good as expected.
I'm on Realme GT Neo with Dimensity 1200 SoC.

What do you mean by module.
Like you want remove the camera device and put another?
Swapping a camera module is very very unlikely to work.
Even if it has the same connector high chance it still wouldnt work hardware wise
AND even if it was physically hardware compatible, you would still need to do a lot of dev work to get it functional software wise
tldr not possible/feasible

buy it then and let us know
As you write yourself, there are different Redmi K40. But there is no different Poco F3.
If so, only the K40 without "Pro" or "Pro Plus" are the same as the Poco F3.
The Pro, for example, has a different SoC and a different camera, namely 64MB.
The Pro Plus has a 108MB camera.

As the others have already written, the hardware may have to be done differently, but in any case the drivers and the software in the ROM must be adapted. Just swapping it out will 100% not work.
Wouldn't it be easier to buy 108mp phone and flash it to global miui? Just a suggestion
Hi,
Im desperate for help regarding my red magic 5s issue.. —Im not a tech savvy when it comes to mobile, but what happen is i downloaded a non-playstore app the day my phone stop working.. so probally that will be the cause of it.. anyway, my phone now is stuck with black screen, power button+volume wont do anything..
i tried several un bricked tutorials here but it doesn’t seems to work (or maybe im doing the wrong thing) im not sure if its “fully bricked” cuz whenever i plug it in i have this port 9008 COMx which is visible, im not sure also if this is the edl since my screen remains black.
Now for my fourth sleepless day im trying QPST and QPL but its says no phone connected. Im not sure what i need more.. i even download vm for win7.. someone kindly help me with this..

I did sir, almost every possible solution.. or maybe im doing it the wrong way..
I follow the one unbricked tutorial but it keeps on saying should be in edl mode. I dl vm because they said it works well with win7 not win10 but still having the same issue.
And another i follow but it keeps on showing no phone connected even if the port in device manager shows 9008 COMx. So im not sure what im doing wrong .. or maybe it cannot be fix this way..
your drivers are not installed correct. if you're getting a 9008 device it means its in EDL mode. that is the correct mode for unbricking. but if the unbrick tools are not correctly unbricking, it usually means the driver you're using is not up to date.
