Hey all. Im working in the USA but is south african.I bought a (unlocked US version) s22+ model SM-S906U1 for my wife. I tried loading international firmware model SM-S906B (like the models in south africa) through a patched odin version but failed and get error “Re-partition failed” (dont know if I need the “Re-partition” boxed ticked in odin or not). I just want to know if this phone will be able to be used in south africa normally as is or do i need to change the firmware?

Hi everyone,
I just had a weird question,
Any version I flash using the LG Flash tool (KDZ), flashes fine but always shows 'global' under version unless I flash my own KDZ using my own IMEI, and then it shows HKG (original device is from hong kong), question is, how come when I flash a local version, such as sweden, italy or Israel it still shows global?
I bought a A50 from ebay it was a SM-A505F/DS unlocked etc its a 4GB 128GB model
now i downloaded the xeu firmware for the UK and flashed via oden and everything flashed and it worked but when I try to check for updates it says processing failed when checking for updates
IT DOES NOT EVEN REGISTER TO THE UPDATE SERVER.
I TRIED WITH THE VODAFONE UK FIRMWARE O2 FIRMWARE BTU FIRMWARE AND XEU FIRMWARE ALL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE
this phone is an XSG model the firmware i used was from the SM-A505FN phone
why does everything work but updates anyone know how to resolve this.
Well if it does not work then you should keep your eye on the samsung's official galaxy a50 development page, and if update is available download the firmware and flash it with odin... Dont worry none of your data will be gone.. and btw if your bootloader is unlocked you wont get updates..

How do you expect it to work by flashing the wrong firmware? You’re flashing a NFC model firmware on a Non-NFC model. Download the desired region firmware for A505F, Remove your sim and flash the firm via Odin.
first of all i shoud state im over in the UK using SKY mobile(02 signal). So I picked up a used S9 last week and every thing seemed ok but i could not understand why is would not update from android 8 to 9. it turns out is a grey import sm960u USA phone and would not update unless the orig carrier sim was in and i was in the usa. i checked its imei and belived it to be on sprint SPR and downloaded the latest firmware and installed via odin. Now the phone will now not connect to my 4G, i have now found out that Sprint uses CMDA and not GSM that i require in UK .Stupidly i did not check which frimware version the phone was running before flashing it. Is there a USA firmware i can install which will get me back on 4g, maybe without carrier bloatware. i understand that i cannot flash it with sm960f firmware but maybe able to use sm960u1 firmware as this is the plain unlocked version
Helo everyone,
I've been trying to flash my unlocked A505F device which I brought from ebay with A505U1 XAA firmware from samfirm as I live In the US and have been having trouble getting connected to my mobile network/ getting mobile data although I can call/text ( I didn't realize there were different models for different regions at the time of purchase). I was recommended this flash as it might add the LTE bands I need for my mobile carrier (Metro by tmobile). Unfortunately, despite having the Samsung drivers, the latest odin and A505U1 XAA firmware downloaded, the flash failed.
I was thus wondering if anyone has ever done this or if anyone has any tips on how to flash this firmware or any other advice on how to get the LTE bands for here in the US, as that's the only reason I'm doing this.
Thank you!
So I got a refurbed phone that apparently originated in Korea (n976n)
I tried flashing the OEM KOO CSC firmware as opposed to the branded firmware (i.e. sktelecom) but after successful Odin flash, the sk telecom splash showed, and the bloatware and custom UI remain.... What is going on here?
Is there any way to get unlocked, no carrier influenced SM-N976N firmware?
