Different region firmware please read - Samsung Galaxy A50 Questions & Answers

I bought a A50 from ebay it was a SM-A505F/DS unlocked etc its a 4GB 128GB model
now i downloaded the xeu firmware for the UK and flashed via oden and everything flashed and it worked but when I try to check for updates it says processing failed when checking for updates
IT DOES NOT EVEN REGISTER TO THE UPDATE SERVER.
I TRIED WITH THE VODAFONE UK FIRMWARE O2 FIRMWARE BTU FIRMWARE AND XEU FIRMWARE ALL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE
this phone is an XSG model the firmware i used was from the SM-A505FN phone
why does everything work but updates anyone know how to resolve this.

Well if it does not work then you should keep your eye on the samsung's official galaxy a50 development page, and if update is available download the firmware and flash it with odin... Dont worry none of your data will be gone.. and btw if your bootloader is unlocked you wont get updates..

How do you expect it to work by flashing the wrong firmware? You’re flashing a NFC model firmware on a Non-NFC model. Download the desired region firmware for A505F, Remove your sim and flash the firm via Odin.

Carrier bloatware (Vodafone)

I have a Samsung S9 which is Vodafone carrier. I tried to flash XSA firmware but it still have the Vodafone apps.
Could some assist me in how to successfully removed the Vodafone apps without root.
I'm using the lastest Odin and flashing the lastest XSA firmware but still no luck. Even tried factory reset before and after flashing the firmware. I've also tried flashing Telstra firmware and it still holds the Vodafone apps.
anyone? am i doing something wrong?

SM-G960N Unbranded firmware.

Hello to everybody,
I have a Galaxy S9, model SM-G960N and finally the Korean Update to Android 10 arrived, downloaded it from SamMobile (The unbranded version KOO) Flashed it without problems and the phone works as intended. Only it doesn't have KOO as CSC, it has SKC, which has bloatware and it isn't the one I flashed. What gives? Why does it do that, are there any workarounds? Here's what I've tried until now:
Downloaded, and flash numerous times, no result, I don't live in Korea, I don't have a Korean SIM, phone still reports SKC.
Flashing with or without sim card inserted gives the same result.
Can't flash any other CSC, other than Korean ones, Odin spits out an error and it does not even start the flashing process.
Mix and matching different CSC with different firmware's obviously not successful.
Any idea if something can be done about this?
Thank you in advance.
You need to root it and change CSC with phone info app to KOO

I guess that's the only remaining way, but do you know why it picks SKC instead of KOO, even if the firmware that I'm downloading is KOO.
Korean CSC is a multiCSC even if you download KOO firmware you phone will use SKC that's included in the CSC so there is no different korean csc there's only one that includes the 4 csc codes
i have rooted device but i need multilanguage. ho i can debrand or add orginal languages?

Samsung pay n975u1 in Canada?

Hello,
I recently purchased a note 10+ unlocked version from the states and live in Canada. I've updated the phone and everything, but the samsung pay app does not look like the Canada one and when I try to add a card, it asks for a zip code. I've tried uninstalling the app, clearing the cache, etc and re-downloading it; but to no avail. Can I try factory data reset with the Canadian Sim in? Under software information, it shows XAA which upon my research, indicates that it is USA unbranded firmware.
Is there some Canadian firmware I have to install? Where can I find it? Thank you.

You will have to flash the SM-N975W firmware which is the variant that's sold by Samsung in Canada.
You'll want the XAC CSC which is for Canadian unbranded, similar to XAA for USA.
The firmware can be downloaded through SamFirm or Frija and should be flashed with the patched version of Odin 3.13.1 to allow cross-flashing from N975U1 to N975W.

After you install the XAC firmware, remove your Canadian SIM card, restart the device once and then do a factory reset to confirm that it has been switched to XAC. After that you will be able to install the Canadian variant of Samsung Pay, as well as use other carrier features like VoLTE and WiFi calling if available.

S20 FE 5G flash uk firmware BTU

I've tried to flash btu firmware on my fe 5g via odin and it keeps saying failed, I'm doing everything right because I use the same odin and frija download tool as my s20 plus, is there a different odin I should use? Also when I turn my phone on there's a "3" network logo appears, is my phone locked? I bought it cash from the shop itself, how do I flash newest firmware?
Whats the exact model number of your S20FE?
What version of android is on the device (including the baseband version, setting>about phone>software info>)
What version of the BTU firmware are you trying to flash? Android 10 or 11..?

Question Updating s22 SD (s901u)

Hi all. I am from Singapore and I have gotten a s22 off an online platform here only to discover it is a USA set.
The csc is S901UOYN2AVE4
I am unable to get ota updates and am still stuck with a may 2022 android 12 update while checking updates shows as up to date.
I have some questions after doing a Google search.
1) will I be able to get ota updates? Does this mean I have to somehow change to csc and is this possible?
2) if it is not, do I have to update manually thru Odin patched? Given the above csc, can anyone guide me as to which firmware can I use? I see there are many different ones from different carriers like Verizon or t mobile
Thanks in advance!
were you able to find a solution? I am also facing the same issue
None so far.
Have you guys tried smartswitch?
hello! I have also researched a bit & came to this conclusion. The device was possibly under a carrier (such as ATT or Verizon) from the US. Although it's unlocked and you can use any sim card but you won't receive any updates unless you use the sim card of that particular carrier. You can install the latest firmware using ODIN tool yourself by downloading firmware based on CSC region code. You can youtube to find the specific CSC region of your phone. Please let me know if you find any other solution. & also please let me know what 'service provider software version' is on your device. you can find it at About phone>Software Information

I have managed to flash it with the right software and get it to update ota. To test this I flashed a older android 12 firmware and it manages to update to android 13 ota.
Follow the steps in this thread closely and you will be good. Use the unlocked u1 version firmware.

Just to confirm one thing, My CSC is S901UOYN2AVE4 and AP/CP/BASEBAND is S901USQU2AVE4. Csc is basically same as you.
But my service provider software version is SAOMC_SM_S901U_OYN_GCF_12_0002
GCF/GCF, GCF/XAA.
Will it alright to flash u1 unlocked firmware to the device? This software version shouldn't be an issue right?
