Last night i changed screen lock password and now i am stuck as i forgot the password.
I have tried following solutions that i found on google.
1. Android lock screen can be bypassed by overloading with massive password ( Failed as my android is patched, not able to copy from dial screen ).
2. ADB can not be used as developer mode is disabled.
3. Google Android device manager has failed to ring or change the screen lock password as internet is off and there is no way to turn on WI-Fi or Data on lollipop when screen is locked.
Do i have any option other than Wipe Data/ Factory Reset. :fingers-crossed:
Hello
I have J2 Prime (G532f) and I want to reset the pattern lock screen without losing the contacts and any of its data
I searched a lot on solution for this problem but I coudn't find any
is there any way to reset the pattern lock without losing at least the contact list ?
Today a client broght me this model with screen locked. Firmware was G532FXXU1AQG2. I just flashed COMBINATION_OXE_FA60_G532FXXU1AQD1_OXE1AQD1_CL11108991_QB13167601_REV00_user_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT and now I can access all of data of this phone except CONTACTS. You must flash only boot, recovery, and system partitions. Do it easily with z3x box (uncheck all partitions except these three partitions). After back up all of data flash your phone again with official 4 file firmware.

İf you want Contacts only way is EFT Dongle.
Greetings,
I just wanted to share my solution to resolution of a brand-new Moto G7 Power XT1955-5 having the developer option "OEM Unlock" disabled. I see issues for a separate model here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g7-power/help/oem-unlock-greyed-t4061763
I do not know if my solution will work for other models. My XT1955-5 was manufactured in 2020 06 and purchased in US.
My intent here was to get the bootloader unlocked for installation of custom ROMS as quickly as possible.
Start Phone
Skip all setup options.
Enable Developer Mode
Enable USB Debug
In about phone > time/ date settings, disable all toggles
Set phone to a period of 8 days ago - arbitrary number
Reset Phone
Reset Date to correct date (leave toggles as-is)
Connect to a wireless network with access to Internet (I was using a WiFi, and did not try data)
Read first before attempt - Done quickly -> Phone begins downloading security patch (or it begins with next step - not sure) - Done quickly -> Attempt to set up an account (Google) whilst phone is downloading security patch - account setup waits for security patch update - Proceed to developer options - OEM Unlock toggle is available - Toggle during download.
I strongly suspect that there is some trigger associated with either downloading a security update, or simply attempting to enable an account on the phone (which requires you to be connected to data), but I do not know which. It is likely that there is not specific time sensitivity involved, but I am including my exact actions that resulted in success.
I hope it helps. Happy development!

Yes. The bootloader is now unlocked. I did have to obtain an unlock code from Motorola. The primary issue here was the inability to toggle "OEM Unlock".
I was using Motorola's guides that are linked from this website:
support . motorola . com/us/en/solution/MS87215
After i update to android 11 i lost developer mode. I tried to enable it (settings - about phone - software information - 7 taps on built number - pattern) several times and got no developer menu.
Also tied to clear settings app cache and data and do it again and nothing appends.
Is there any way to solve this without resetting the phone?
Btw, my phone is s20 ultra
Today's update solved the problem
Model: SM-S908U1 Unlocked
Hello so to start off I want to say this is entirely my fault for not backing up my phone before installing this beta.
Story:
So today I tried to create a secure folder and while it was creating the secure folder my phone shut down after rebooting I cannot get into my phone every time I enter the password it just freezes and reboots. I can see my data is still all there because I am still receiving app notifications. How would I go about fixing this as I cannot factory wipe the phone because of fear of loosing my accounts tied to 2fa.
What I have tried so far:
- Using Samsung's find my phone feature to remove the screen lock (The phone randomly reboots multiple times and the screen lock is not removed.)
- Wiping system cache
- ADB does not detect the device as it is locked so there is not much I can do with that.
Other notes:
I have used oden in the past but I cannot find the right software for my model to attempt to re flash. (SM-S908U1 Unlocked)
