I have J2 Prime (G532f) and I want to reset the pattern lock screen without losing the contacts and any of its data
I searched a lot on solution for this problem but I coudn't find any
is there any way to reset the pattern lock without losing at least the contact list ?
Today a client broght me this model with screen locked. Firmware was G532FXXU1AQG2. I just flashed COMBINATION_OXE_FA60_G532FXXU1AQD1_OXE1AQD1_CL11108991_QB13167601_REV00_user_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT and now I can access all of data of this phone except CONTACTS. You must flash only boot, recovery, and system partitions. Do it easily with z3x box (uncheck all partitions except these three partitions). After back up all of data flash your phone again with official 4 file firmware.

Hello,
I followed the procedure to unlock my SIM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718150 , but when I reboot the phone, the screen locks after about 30 secs and asks for a password, which I don't have.
So far, I've restored a few different backups, but in all cases the phone screen still locks after 30 secs. I've also tried a factory reset & still no success.
I installed Google Play Edition & all is okay (no screen lock), however when I again restore to any of my previous back-ups, I get the screen lock again ?
I've also tried most of the methods for deleting the screen lock password in this posting, http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2620456
, but none of these methods work & when I check for the screen lock 'password.key' with root explorer I can't find it ?
Does anyone know what's happening here ?
I'm thinking of wiping the internal phone storage (to erase whatever is creating the screen lock) & then trying a restore again - is this advisable ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I have a Moto Z play xt1635-02
The last day of vacation and after having taken 1500 photos (I do not backup in google cloud photos) the display of my motorcycle z play on the inside was broken by excessive pressure.
The phone remained with the black screen, but the commands responded because I heard sounds of screen lock activation.
In desperation, turn off the phone and when I wanted to enter the pincode intuiting the place on the screen to connect to the PC and backup the content, the phone did not respond. Do this process several times and turn it off several times as well.
There was no way to have done factory reset through the download menu since I had no way to do it without seeing the screen.
Today after changing the display, the phone appeared factory reset, so it was put into airplane mode and did not install applications.
I lost all my photos and I would like to know if there is any way to recover them.
1) I understand that the first thing I should do is Unlock Bootloader
2) Then root the phone (I would like to know what you recommend)

If there could be any possibility to restore the data, you should not unlock bootloader, as this clears all data. It is important to have the bootloader unlocked before any problem occurs to have more possibilities. But if you haven't, search other ways first.
Forced encryption + trim = no go, sadly. Wipe re-encrypts the device making all the previous data unreadable and unrecoverable.

i recently bought two Samsung tab 3 10.1 tablets, however when i turn it on i get the message
"Enter you pin or password to use the encrypted device memory"
I have tried to do a factory reset which will not work and i have also tried to install a factory image, on which it goes on the device but loops back to the pin/password screen.
Can anyone help? i am willing to pay for help
You reflashed stock firmware with Odin?
so i Erased my cache and wiped factory reset my phone but now it won't let me get into the main area without a pin or account.
anyway around this? maybe a Rom Flash?
It happend to me too as in the beginning it starts to search for updates but it failes because of server problems
So just leave it in the setup connected to wifi for 20 min and it should be fine again
Seems like you have forgotten your pin/password
To reset pin /password
Connect your phone to pc
Open Samsung Side sync
Use top three dot menu on side sync for emergency rescue.
That would download stock firmware and flash it and allow you to bypass pin screen
If that not possible, flash stock firmware via odin ( don't use home csc). This way your phone will go to factory reset and settings allowing you to enter new pin /password

Hello so to start off I want to say this is entirely my fault for not backing up my phone before installing this beta.
Story:
So today I tried to create a secure folder and while it was creating the secure folder my phone shut down after rebooting I cannot get into my phone every time I enter the password it just freezes and reboots. I can see my data is still all there because I am still receiving app notifications. How would I go about fixing this as I cannot factory wipe the phone because of fear of loosing my accounts tied to 2fa.
What I have tried so far:
- Using Samsung's find my phone feature to remove the screen lock (The phone randomly reboots multiple times and the screen lock is not removed.)
- Wiping system cache
- ADB does not detect the device as it is locked so there is not much I can do with that.
Other notes:
I have used oden in the past but I cannot find the right software for my model to attempt to re flash. (SM-S908U1 Unlocked)
