If I update "local" manual way does it factory reset everything? Or do my files stay the same after update? Phone won't update to android 12 automatically. Currently it's on version 11.
It doesn't wipe out your data and apps. It just like FOTA update. Even update from android 11 to android 12

From the latest update for every single reboot i will get Android is Upgrading......... How do i fix it?
Might want to do a reset.
My tablet is currently on stock MRA58K. I've rooted it, installed TWRP, and have Xposed installed (if that matters). I've been holding off installing the OTA system update(s) because I didn't want to mess with re-rooting (I see that's not a concern). Anyways, after searching for a fix to my Netflix playback problem, I see that it was fixed with one of the monthly updates (MRA58U). With this information I went through the steps of installing the OTA update (Settings->About Tablet->System updates). The updated downloaded and asked me if I wanted to install it and restart the tablet. Everything looked normal. When the tablet rebooted it booted straight into recover (TWRP). Confused by this, I just rebooted into system from TWRP. As far as I can tell the update didn't install. The build is still MRA58K and I still have the Netflix playback issue.
Is there a way to manually download and install the incremental monthly updates? I don't want to install the full blown factory image and have to re-setup the tablet.
Thanks
Maybe just get some MRA58V ROM since you have TWRP? And yeah, you wont be able to install official OTA with TWRP, you need to be stock for that.
Reflashed android 6.0.1 factory image and set up my phone, enrolled in the android beta programme and got the android 7.0 update.. so I downloaded it and it started to say it would install and started to countdown to reboot but it didn't reboot and didn't install now when I check for updates it says phone is up to date.
if i update the nightly`s the system is completely reset. how can i update without loosing every data?
Yesterday I updated my S20 Plus 5G Exynos to Android 12 (One UI 4.0). Since this update I have problems using Bluetooth with apps in secure folder and work profile.
I have tried to reinstall all apps, completely reset the work profile and the secure folder, reset the bluetooth settings, clear data / cache of the Bluetooth application and I cannot solve this bug.
Anyone know what else I can try? Thanks a lot
Factory reset after a major firmware update.
Don't use SmartSwitch as it can cause issues.
Factory reset done. Didn't use SmartSwitch, just fresh install. Bluetooth devices still not working on secure folder or work profile.
Roll it back to 11 if you can.
