Recently updated LineageOS and I went to get the boot image to have magisk patch it and then flash it, so I flash it and when I reboot I try to open magisk manager but the app just closes and gets uninstalled. Is this an issue or am I doing something wrong?
P.S LineageOS: 19.1
Magisk manager: 25.2
Removing /data/adb/magisk.db fixed the issue

Hi Guys
I'm with a problem. I installed Magisk a while ago and after my install Magisk just stopped working and it did not detect root (in Magisk manager). I reinstalled it and it worked...for 10min and after that it stopped. I update my rom (RR) which has Magisk preinstalled on it and still no succes. I flash the rom and after 10min Magisk stops working. I tried clean flashing rom but no succes.
Any suggestions guys?
Thanks
Unless you see any specific errors I TWRP Flash the latest version of Magisk.
... before that revert to a proper kernel IMG
I'm on oxygenos 5.0.5 and had Magisk 16.0 installed , I downloaded Magisk 17.0 and installed through twrp but phone went into boot loop , so I had to use Magisk uninstaller to get phone to start,
Now I dont have Magisk how go about installing it again
flash the v17 again .
i had the same problem , i downloaded the latest from github and flashed. everything is back to normal
Ok got magisk installed again , what caused the boot loop ? I thought flash through twrp was the safest option
I have OP3 and Lineage 14.1. I uninstalled magisk and reinstalled. Now I have root but no wifi. Do you have wifi?
Yes wifi is ok , but I just did a dirty flash of the rom , then installed twrp and magisk again
I'm try to magisk 17.1 no problem boot loop.
17.0 has bootloop bug on some phones it's fixed in 17.1
I installed an update to Magisk Manager to v5.9 via the Magisk Manager app. Then when I went back into Magisk Manager, I found that I had lost root (i.e. nothing shows up in the left drawer of the app and no root apps work). I tried flashing the Uninstaller.zip and reflashing TWRP and Magisk v16, but it still did not re-root my device. I'm running OOS 5.1.5 with Magisk Manager v5.8.3, and bluespark TWRP v8.69.

Hi, I have a 5T, I'm on OOS 9.0.1, I'm using Magisk 18.1, updated from Magisk 18.0.
I tried to install from OTA, OOS 9.0.4, then I tried to reinstall blu spark twrp 3.2.3 and I tried to install Magisk 18.1, when I boot OOS, the phone is instantly showing "shutdown", and it boots to recovery, twrp.
Then i dirty flashed OOS 9.0.1 and Magisk 18.0, it worked and I'm now using it with 9.0.1.
I tried many times to install Magisk 18.1 or 18.0 on OOS 9.0.4, but I have the same problem. How can I solve this problem? Is the treble.zip file?
Will a clean flash solve the problem? Please help me, I love OOS, i tried also other ROMs about 4-5 months ago, but I didn't like it.
Dirty flashing 9.0.1, phone app is not working, when I click on it, it opens and closes in about a second. How can i solve?
I also have problems on Waze app, I read on Internet a lot of people have this problem, is it solved on new OOS? How can I solve with root? Can I install a GPS mod?
Thank you.
You need to unload the original module, then double clear! I have also encountered this problem because I installed a fingerprint module and it was updated after uninstalling.:highfive:
Thank you, I've just solved uninstalling magisk before update, so wipe dalvik/cache -> magisk uninstaller -> flash oos 9.0.4 -> flash magisk 18.1 -> wipe dalvik/cache -> reboot system
I was wondering can you update magisk through magisk manger or do you have to flash the zip over again Im not new to flashing updating but the Razer phone is so touchy and some things are different than other phones.thanks
I rooted my phone shortly after the Oreo update and have been updating magisk via magisk manager since.

I may be being thick, but I can't see a way to update Magisk (not the manager) thru Magisk Manager?
Peace
That's how it looks for me. Always Magisk update on top and manager update below
I have an older version then maybe that won't allow update to Magisk ...
