So my problem is weird, i've seen some related but not this parricular. So 2 days ago i wanted to update Cherish, and i had to clean flash, so thats what i did. And after going into TWRP my battery status in TWRP was showing 94%. And after i flashed rom it was showing always 94%. I saw today few posts and i tried to:
-delete data/system/battery*
-reflash Miui Global by fastboot
-discharge and charge when turned off (this one is crazy because if i turn off phone and pług it to charger it shows 94% too XD)
—changing kernel too
And when im watching some apps like battery guru it shows, that my phone is always on 976mAh discharge, not changing at all. So thats why im here Guys, i need Your help. And sorry for my english, im not fluent.
I just saw someone had this problem and i didn't saw post earlier. Sorry Guys for doubling
get a real rom
Really helpfull, i knew i can count on You.
PS. My phone magically, after few dozens of restarts started to show correct battery status, so no answer for my question for now
Never had the problem myself, but sounds pretty scary.
I believe maybe such an issue could still be caused by the ROM, even in Power-Off State.
I say this because the UI for Powe-Off Charging changed for me when I started using ArrowOS. The UI looks like AOSP now.
But it's returned to normal right? I personally would forget about it and say it never happened.
I mean yes and no. Yesterday it was discharging to 0 and i plugged it when turned off to charge. And today when i turned him up its still 100% hahaha
But even if its rom related fastbooting miui should fix everything

Hi,
I went thru a mammoth custom rom installing stage and after 3 roms, all with formatting data from within orangefox recovery, my battery level was also showing incorrect levels in OF Recovery, i too felt this was not a good place.
As yourself my fall back method to restore my phone is
MIUI in Fastboot, here`s something i posted earlier
Poco f3 eng firmware ?
Has anyone have Poco f3 eng firmware. I tired Poco f3 eng firmware but after flashing in fastboot mode it keeps rebooting & rebooting. I tried file which is 1.59gb
forum.xda-developers.com
Fastboot has saved me lots of times, when i`ve been playing with roms,
its a lot easier than having to put my old LG G7 into 9008 EDL mode to fix a soft-brick and install custom recovery.
Yeah, i did it, and actually i think what helped me was deleting batterystats.bin and reseting all over again

On a side note, i like to keep a track of my long term battery stats, as i use accubattery to monitor my charge cycles but every time i change/format data on my rom i loose all my data until i found this great app that backs up my apps and there data in zip format, you can then copy back all your apps & data, the app is called Migrate-GPE,

The app is in three parts, you need to rename the generated folder to
Migrate, M is a capital and place the folder into the internal memory,
if Root causes you issues and you have banking apps, then rename Magisk, add files to the denylist, then freeze it with SDmaid, i made a post about this as well.
Migrate is the closes thing I've have found to a full ClockworkMod backup,
like the old days

TL;DR Version - Stuck with what to flash with
======================================
Hi guys im looking for some patient person here to talk me through this whole ROM flashing business.
On my old O2 Exec years ago I flashed the ROM to an unbranded version and it ran so well with that.
I've got a brand new (2 weeks old) Desire HD unlocked with a T-Mobile ROM. im looking to install a ROM that does not load Peep or Stocks or News every 10 mins (trust me I've tried disabling updates), allows me to perform nandroid backups and increase the dreadful volume
so far I have -
* permarooted with VISONary r14
* installed ROM Manager
* installed ClockWatchMod (according to the software)
* Created a Goldcard
* obtained an RRU for my phone
This seemed to go well until I tried to do an NANDroid backup and got a bit worried with the phone went to the now nicknamed red triangle of death. after a bit of reading I found I had to push "Volume Up" and "power" to get a menu(Case of RTFM from me there) but there was no option for backup, the options I had were
* Reboot phone
* apply update.zip
* wipe user partition
* clear phone cache partition (or something like that)
NOW ...
Where do I go from here.
Thank-you for any help received in pointing me in the correct direction. I've been reading blogs and updates and sites and files and read-me's and star-charts and tea leaves all night but still am missing the point of things like S-OFF and Radio-OFF and UK-Off. Event read the guides on here about rooting and flashing
the reason I want to flash is to increase the paltry volume on the phone, its killing me having crisp movies and not being able to hear them because a a mouse farted 4 houses away and my pet caterpillar is snoring
Thanks for any help you lovely lot. you need any more info just drop me a message or reply in here

The red triangle is the stock recovery partition, so you haven't got clockwork recovery installed yet hence your inability to flash a ROM. If you do have permaroot with visionary use Rom manager to flash the correct Clockwork recovery and then you should be able to flash your ROM without issue.
I personally prefered to root via the long hand method detailed on cyanogenmod wiki but then I am possibly a sadist anyway.
Regarding S-OFF , the DHD has protection on the NAND memory which prevents you making changes to the system partition which means you can't (easily) remove system apps and makes it impossible to install anything to /system without first removing the NAND protection = S-OFF
Radio S-OFF, is a similar deal relating to the radio this can prevent you downgrading your radio if you flash an unsuitable one.
MMS not working everything else works. Running ACS SRF 1.1.1 ec05modem. Also notice every now and then I get and error popup saying something like "error 104:... " any help?
Are you clearing the ram at level 2?
No, should I? I've only ever done the clearing at level 1, and I rarely do that.

I would update to SFR 1.2 then right after (before booting in to SFR) flash Twilight Zone Kernal. Then if your still having problems I would suggest trying the EE03 Modem.
And if that doesn't work you could always odin back to stock and reflash sfr!
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or the current economic crisis. Please do some research if you have any concerns this process before doing this! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
A few days ago while flashing a new rom, my Evo quit booting. I wouldn't consider myself a n00b, but I'm out of ideas. Here is what I have done:
* used unrevoked3 and unrevoked-forever to obtain root and s-off at least a year ago
* used CM7.1 stable as my daily driver
* used stock to update radios around the time CM7.1 went to stable
* flashed deck's ICS preview4 to test an app on 4.0, after doing a nandroid and wiping in cwm 5.0.22 (I think that was the version)
* the phone refused to boot, vibrating 5 times and flashing the green notification light
* going into hboot, s-on is back somehow
* recovery could only be reached if the usb was plugged in
* recovery could not mount the sdcard, so no nandroid restore
* tried several stock PC36IMG.zip until 4.24.651.1 finally flashed in hboot
* the phone still won't boot, either vibrating 5 times or showing the red ! triangle
* the 4.24.651.1 RUU tells me my battery is < 30% even though I let my phone charge all night
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I don't really want to pay $450 for a new Evo. Thanks in advance.

I had this happen to me a little less than a month ago and it ruined my weekend. I fortunately have a repair plan with Sprint as a "just incase" practice, so I just flashed stock and removed root, then brought in my phone claiming it just "restarted" and the software crashed, breaking my USB and SD card controller. The people at Sprint thought it was just "lint in my MicroUSB port," I laugh and told them to turn it on and they looked at my with a puzzled "wtf did you do to it!?" look.
What caused my problem was my SD card was full when I attempted to backup my ROM. This caused CWM fail at a backup and bricked my phone. Is this what happened to you by any chance?
I never did "fix" my phone's usb/SD management issue, but was able to temporarily boot it, but was plagued with random restarts. I'd like to throw in some links but I'm pinched for time seeing as I need to leave for work. (Search XDA) There was a Android 2.2 image that was I able to flash in the bootloader that let boot fully. But it will erase all traces of root. - Before you try and do anything else, research into if there is ANYTHING you can do with adb over WiFi, because that was the one thing that I didn't try. What I'm saying is to do a lot of reading before you start flashing anything, plan out your attack before you execute it. Because I ended up digging myself a deep hole by just randomly flashing images.
Wish you luck man, sorry I wasn't of much help.

Hboot finds the renamed CM7.1 zip and checks it, but does not offer to flash it. I assume this is because s-on is back. Also, I mentioned that RUU is claiming my battery is too low to flash.

My sdcard has over 4gb available space. I flashed stock 2.3 in the bootloader but it still refuses to boot (as mentioned in the original post). As far as I know, you need to be able to boot to use adb. The only images I have tried to flash are stock images and CM7.1.
This is starting to look bleak...

Sorry, my previous post was in a rush. (As is this one, lol)
Really? So your phone just screwed up out of no where while flashing the ICS alpha4 rom? Were you using CWM? Because if so, I'm switching to Amon RA asap.
Moving on, I know how you're feeling right now. But, I still have hope.
As previously stated, after ruining my EVO I was able to flash a PC36IMG.zip that allowed me to boot my EVO. I had to do some serious digging, but I found the thread I used with the ROM that worked http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884060.
None of the old Megaupload links work, but this filesonic one does. Download it and flash it in your bootloader. Its signed, it should work. Try to flash it twice if anything. If it still doesn't work, try one of the newer ROMs. I'm only guessing that's the one that worked for me.
The only problem is that I don't think that's a 2.3 ROM, and we need a 2.2 ROM. Because the only root method that doesn't use a USB/SD Card is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=701004 If you can get
If you can get your EVO rooted again with S-Off, follow this guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243 (Original) and you might be home free. But as of now, your goal is to find a stock 2.2 PC36IMG. Hopefully someone else can help here.
I sadly have to get to bed. Just got off work and I need to get some rest, another long day tomorrow. Good luck! I'll be back here next chance I get.
Same thing here
I'm having the exact same issue - flashed ICS alpha 4, now I can't mount my SD card. I don't have the red triangle of death, but I am getting the 5 vibrations on trying to boot - can get to hboot, and was able to *almost* get the SD card to mount using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243
but that only yielded ICS "preparing SD card" and "checking SD card for errors" indefinitely. I backed up and formatted my SD card, and this at least let me browse the empty sd card in Clockwork Recovery - I am in the process of copying my cwm backups back to the sd card in the hopes of being able to restore them from cwm. I'll keep you posted on what happens, and will most likely try to RUU when I get home from work. Puzzling that my s turned back on again as well, it's been off for well over a year...

*** Update ***
Ok, so after all that, I was able to restore my backup from within recovery, copy all of my data back to the sd card, and now I'm back in business...mostly. I still get the 5 vibrations on boot *unless* i'm plugged into the computer, and even then it's not a sure thing (usually takes 3 or 4 tries to get it to boot). At least I have a functioning phone again. Next step - RUU and factory reset, and see what happens. Again, I'll post back with my results. Hope this helps someone
Hello,
THIS IS ALPHA SOFTWARE. Not for daily use.
While we wait for the Official CyanogenMod 12.1 for our Moto X Pure, I will build the ROM with the latest commits.
Please note that this is not my work. I have simply put together a ROM pulling the source from other devs repos.
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This is my personal CyanogenMod build based on latest CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android 5.1) code, from the 'cm-12.1' branch.
All seems to work fine. Please make sure to do a full wipe before flashing and, of course, use a 5.1 Gapps package.
I'll try to provide updates at least once a week until the official nightlies are released.
At this point NFC, BT, WiFi and Data are working. I am not aware of any issues.
ROM and GAPPS
GAPPS from here. Choose ARM64 and 5.1
Also the ROM says that is from 09/27, but in fact is from 10/05. I will fix that on the next build.
If I extracted and flashed the kernel on the stock rom would it potentially boot without any issues?
Sweet so is this based on cm 12.1 by the way ? If so are we able to use cm themes ?
I am on Verizon will test soon ! Will make backup first and flash
I will also report if hd voice works I hope it does

If you are referring to using the stock kernel with this ROM, it won't work. Same is true if you flash the CM kernel in stock.

First install, I just did cache, dalvik, data, but then I did a second install and did system wipe with it, and I'm still just sitting at the boot screen.
Also cannot boot it still. System, data, blah blah wiped. My guess is the ROM isn't really ready yet.
I am rooted with xposed. Might be an issue but I don't believe it lol

Yes.
I have to restore to stock good thing I did backup. Install fine,boots fine however after few seconds it gets soft-rebooted and then it loads again and soft-reboots. I got it to work properly on first boot and oh my god it was blazing fast!
Waiting for update and this will be super amazing.
To make it short: as soon as it boots few seconds and it gets soft rebooted with CM logo , as soon as it loads again same thing happens.
Did wipe,factory reset etc.. it's almost perfect I was getting Verizon service however I didn't see ehanced 4G LTE option in cellular settings.
I cannot wait for next build and volte please keep on working on this when I have extra bucks I will send donation! this phone on CM 12.1 is like a buggati veyron!
@spotmark are you seeing similar thing? not exactly a bootloop but rom loads and gets soft-rebooted?

Nope, couldn't get past the CM boot animation.
Soft reboots here too.
Couldn't get past CM boot animation. Tried flasing after 3 wipes, once with gapps, once without. Can't wait to return to my flashaholic ways haha
Seems to be working fine after flashing gapps.
Reporting in, I've been running this build through the gauntlet for the last few hours, restored all my apps and junk seamlessly and applied the good old Flats theme, no force-closes, and only two minor issues to speak of (aside from a laggy boot animation). Haven't gotten Xposed set up, but I really don't need it any longer, since CM12.1 has everything I needed Gravitybox for. Stock Android is nicer than most factory firmwares, but CM tears it up, it's zipped through everything I could throw at it, wish I could make a comparison video between the two. It's so smooth, I can hardly believe it.
The first and perhaps most critical issue i've seen is that Wifi doesn't autoconnect upon reboot, but will automatically connect to a preferred network upon opening Wifi settings. It autoconnects when walking out of and back into range, and after toggling wifi on/off, but I've had to open the wifi settings on every reboot to re-establish a connection.
The second issue isn't near as important, the "Wave" gesture to summon ambient display doesn't work, while every other gesture works even better than the stock Moto implementation. Had no idea these were already in the CM source, a very pleasant surprise!
Here's my logcat -d for startup, perhaps the solution to the Wifi issue is tucked away in there. Pastebin seized up after I pasted all 22000 lines of output, so here's a direct link to the log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B578nVIxgOBAd1o4aHhkYU1FT00/view
Edit: Just encountered a soft reset when adding a widget to Nova Launcher, should have had logcat running, but i've got it up now in case it happens again. Fixing to run it through a normal work day tomorrow to see how the battery life/stability holds up.

It took less than a minute to get past the boot animation. It soft rebooted at the wifi setup. I then booted into recovery and installed the gapps package. When it booted up again everything was fine, no reboots. Though the default clock force closes. I usually use timely anyway. I havent tested everything yet, but it seems good so far.
Booted and running, no reboots yet. Thanks for this!
Edit, found my first issue, twist to open camera causes reboot. In fact, opening camera at all causes reboot.
By request, I have made my own LineageOS 13.0 thread. I will work on this when I have time during the evenings and after work.

3. Backup all partitions in TWRP - this will be your recovery point if things don't install correctly.
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash ROM
6. Flash GApps
Note: Please make sure you have a Lollipop bootloader. Below are the steps to flash it.

Bootloader Information
You need to make sure you have a lollipop bootloader installed or else your device won't boot. Here you can go grab the latest bootloader and odin and flash it in download mode. Read all the steps before you do this.
Make sure you have a full backup because just in case you something fails.
Here are the steps to flash this via ODIN:
Reboot your tablet into download mode. Do this by first switching off the phone, then pressing and holding the volume down + home button together and then pressing the power button. Press volume up button to enter download mode.
Open ODIN on your computer. You’ll see the ID:COM box turning yellow with a COM port number upon successful connection with the tablet.
In ODIN click the BL button, select the bootloader firmware. It's a tar.md5 file.
Make sure Auto Reboot & F. Reset Time options are selected in ODIN
Click on the start button. When the process is completed your phone will reboot.

Over clock?
Hi Thom,
want to know if you are able to make this kernel ready for over clock. Further I use Valera s 5.11, which one is faster this or Valera's 5.11. I know that marshmallow are in generally slower then 5.11 so will it make sense to change. I have some applications + movies which do not play/work fine, need a little more performance in GPU and cpu.
Thanks for supporting this device, I love this tablet

This rom is really fast. Like faster than 5.1.1. I am still making changes and it is speeding up by the day. I would almost say it is stable and fast enough for videos and apps that you trying to run. Try tonight's nightly and give it a shot and let me know what your thoughts are.
Yes, I was hoping there's a list of launchers compatible with CyanogenMod. I always used Nova Launcher pre-root, but post-root post-adding CM, it crashes constantly to the point of unusability. But I'm not fond of the default launchers included so as I said, I was hoping there's a list somewhere. Thanks.
Thank you for the ROM. YouTube and .gif files aren't working properly in the latest nightly. Used Micro Gapp install. Also web pages very laggy, especially ones that contain a lot of ads.
Just thought I'd report that I installed the latest (4/26) over the top of the earlier april version via a "dirty" install (no wipe). Also installed the latest open gapps stock version with no error message after reboot. That's it so far...

What device are you on? All these problems you have is not normal. Sure you're on the P900 wifi? I haven't come across one single app ,including launchers, that don't work with this ROM.
i have a problem for downloading the latest build. The link in this forum give me only 3 old builds of the rom. When i use the old link from the old post i can download the 26 apr build. I have downlaoded that one (is the same?) and installed it with latest gaps and so problems so far

It's a completely new ROM @thompatry Much snappier and very smooth. No prob with new Gapps and setup wizard. All in all a very promising ROM. Thanks a million!
Hi I installed your latest cm 13 on my sm-p901 and it's very smooth and fast ! Thanks so much ! But I have problem with sound ! When I change the volume with up/down key , tablet freezes for a sec or when I go to settings-sound , tablet freezes, keyboard kepress sound has latency for example , what's wrong with sound ?! Thanks so much again for bringing MM to exynos variant! ?
Edit : I can't play audio files too !! What could it be related to ?? Gapps maybe?! Does anybody else have audio problem?!

Yep, P900 wifi.
It's not the app though, or the rom, or any of that. It's me, technology has always and will always take a sick ammount of pleasure in royally screwing me over in all things everyone else manages perfectly fine.
But if it's me, even if I do exactly as everyone else does, the computer will probably explode in my face.

Not the files. But Factory Reset, Wipe - Davik, Cache, System, whatever that fourth one listed was called.

Can you save you files on a flash or something?

Yeah, but would that even make any difference? It takes like 10 hours to get everything back on, transfers slow, and I'd rather avoid that if this might not even work.

Well, if your device isn't broken in some way, I guess thats the only way to fix it.... You haven't thought about keeping your files in the cloud? 100gb Storage on Google drive is about 2 bucks a month
Anyone managed to get xposed to work? I tried a lot of builds of the app and of the binairy, but every time I open xposed and I click on something, I get a black screen and I need to restart to get my tablet working again.
The new version is very fast. I am, however, having issues with Chrome playing back media (video) and in fact while using youtube got an error message that Android was having trouble playing media. Sometimes it will play video... but often it will not.
Anyone else having that issue, or should I wipe this baby and do a clean install?

Same here. It's the same issue with play music. Tried everything. Clean install. Full Gapps and second time Pico Gapps and downloaded Play music from Play store. And no go. Installed older build and voila, works again. Must be ROM related.
