Is there any Android 8.1 based custom rom which support VOLTE. Airtel has started using VOLTE, so far VOLTE is only working on Oxygen OS
Even i have not found any custom rom with which airtel volte is working. Exception being of course oos based roms.
I used most ROMs in which volte working well, I use jio, not airtel. Airtel volte is not available here.
Yes jio is working fine on almost all roms.

Did you guys find any/any alternate fix? It's same here. no matter what custom rom I try I end up getting no Airtel volte. It's only working on Oxygen OS:crying:
Sent from my OnePlus3T using XDA Labs
When volte is available in gsi...??
There is almost 0 chance of getting VoLTE in treble builds because they're supposed to be generic.
That's bad for the future of Android considering carriers are planning on dropping 2G network support
No volte on gsi=no treble in india
Then there is no future for GSI at least. Because Volte is an advanced IMS technology. Many service provider now starts giving Volte. Even latest all phone launched with dual 4g volte. If GSI can't adopt Volte from generic partition then that's very bad news.

The problem with that is, there isn't a "one-size-fits-all" solution when it comes to VoLTE. Some OEMs such as LG make their own IMS stack rather than using Qualcomm's. Which makes universally supporting it much more difficult
VOLTE is a technology almost used only on India phones company. So it's a not priority on my view. The priority is to make GSIs stable first

T-Mobile's bad 2/3g coverage in the United States causes missed calls because their LTE coverage is better than their 2/3g coverage. That is a huge downside to using custom ROMs on T-Mobile/MetroPCS without VoLTE support. I've spent a lot of time trying to enable VoLTE on my LG K20 Plus, Stylo 2 Plus, and Stylo 3 plus lineageOS builds but failed due to LG's custom IMS.
I don't know why i'm still laughing.. But that part totally depend on your Modem/Firmware..
Nowday's, Almost Every custom ROM support VoLTE.. It's Vendor's Responsibility to release proper Modem/firmware to support it..
If Your Device support VoLTE, It should work with Custom ROM GSI As well..
So, If VoLTE does't work, Provide Logcat to Dev's & let them take a look.. They need to Patch Kernel, Vendor & DT..
No Logcat = No VoLTE
If device have volte and it's perfectly working with Custom Rom(Treble) that doesn't mean it will work with GSI also.
Till now GSI doesn't support Volte. I think in future It will support that.:good:

GSI does support VoLTE if vendor supports VoLTE, as @Ani96 mentioned.

Good to hear that GSI support VoLTE. Problem is that AOSP phh-treble rom dont have the functionality to turn VoLTE on.

Hey gang
I'm considering a Oneplus 9RT CN Global Flash. Should I expect any language issues as I need it in English?
Also, I'll be using it in Thailand, Vietnam, and USA. Any sim compatibility concerns?
TIA for any input.
Do you mean you're originally on the ColorOS (CN) release and you'll flash to the OxygenOS (IN)? If so, the OOS isn't truly "global" but regional (India). I doubt you'll have sim issues, more like you'll need a switcher app to force 5G on and not have VoLTE / VoWIFI (which is the same if you have ColorOS anyway, AFAIK).
In Thailand global rom works like a charm (5g, VoLTE, VoWiFi). My carrier is AIS.

Cool. I'm in Chiang Mai, using AIS as well. Not paying for 5G at the moment, but may try. Thanks.
Got the Oneplus 9RT Global. It's running Oxygen... It rocks. Works great on Thai network AIS so far.
Bootloader unlocked but not rooted yet rooted.

Hi, I have tried all the custom ROMs here on XDA for RMX3360 (Indian Variant) but none of them supports either of Indian 5G operators (Jio & Airtel). Though all ROM's have option to select 5G networks in settings but none of them sees Jio or Airtel 5 networks even in manual search nor let me connect to either. I have both operators with 5G working on stock ROM. Can any developer please add support for Indian 5G operators to their Custom ROM. I loved the clean stock feeling of Custom ROM's but no 5G is a deal breaker.
Or else, since 5G works on stock ROM can anyone guide as to how to extract specific files for 5G support from stock ROM and add them to any Custom ROM. I am technically sound so should be able to do it with some guidance.
Just for FYI, even stock ROM didnt work on 5G till update C10, from C11 update 5G support was added for Indian operators. So I guess C11 update is what needs to be checked and integrated into Custom ROM
Does any costum rom support 5g
Why is it that 5g not working on costum rom
Elixir Rom supports 5G only on Sim 1

Dude did u find the solution im also facing it.
I have a global version of Xiaomi 13 pro with custom Chinese based Rom. Unfortunately, the rom doesn't have eSim support, so I'm looking for a way to enable it.
What I did so far:
1) added this line to build.prop. It added eSim option to the settings app, but manage eSim tab doesn't work
ro.vendor.miui.support_esim=true
2) then I installed LPA Xiaomi app and launched it with activity launcher. It got me to the manage eSim menu, but when I try to add a esim, it just says that some error occurred.
I really want to have eSim working, but not sure, what else is missing. If anybody knows how to make it work, I would really appreciate any help.

Not sure since Xiaomi Eu rom uses the latest Chinese firmware.
Today's Weekly update uses V14.0.23.4.25.DEV.
Made it work by making LPA a system app.

Only works if your device is a global version.
Thank you. It is the global version and I intend to install the stable version from xiaomi.eu . I also need a functional esim.

Esim as the bands are at HW levels, nothing is changed whether you have a CN or Global version.
You will still have what you had with a stock rom.
No more no less.
