Hello everyone
I have a theory that what actually causing the black crush/ green tint issue on some of the poco f3 units is DDIC.
Could someone with two poco f3 one with and one without these issues investigate this theory by swapping the mainboard between the two phones and report back here ?
I think for cost and other issues Xiaomi is using DDIC from different sources and one has these issues with it.
I recently swapped the T-con board on my sony tv and now i have black crush issue which wasn't a problem with the original board and since the DDIC is basically acting like T-con board in TVs, I think the problem is caused by it.

Hello there. Roughly 4 months ago I bougth a second E980 as a replace for an old one who got some strange issues on its screen (random/ghost touches and -progresively- dead digitizer, display was ok), just to find that the new one started to show the same issues.
I tried to replace the digitizer alone on the older one and that worked only for a short time, and now I wonder if changing the whole digitizer+LCD display could fix the issue...what do you think? had you experienced a similar problem in the past? is adviceable to buy the whole screen replacement? is this a software problem? should I pass of this phone and curse to the skies like a mad man?
Sorry for the crappy grammar.
hello,
i want to buy a lg g4 but i see two major problem, the bootloop problem because of the mainboard issue and the screen burn out issue.
now i want to know if these problems stay left on this device with the new build date or problems solved?
sorry for my bad english
No one truly knows I sold my g4 cause worried it'll bootloop and needed reliable pjone
Because of screen burn I send it to guarantee, they replaced the display. So it's a hardware issue, not possible to fix with any Rom.
easy fix screen burn
Easy fix for image retention/screen burn
So like many of you, I have discovered that the G5 screen suffers from image retention/screen burn/ghosting. I found this fix from the LG G5 xda forums thread on this issue. You simply download an app called "Blue Light Filter" from Simple Design Ltd. and set the intensity to 5% with a color temperature of 1800K. You will notice pretty much no difference in the screen and there is no impact on your battery life. Please try the app if you suffer from this issue for at least a day and post your experience here.
Also had dead mainboard an a few months later screen burn in. All are hardware issues and you get an replacement in warranty time.
Mine was a SN 505 (bad charge) and all issues was repaired.
The display of my G4 suddenly began to work with this brightness diffusion effect. Once it got stuck and I had to take out the battery, on reboot it did the flaw and now it is. It is not the well-known ghost effect that seems to depend on software, but it is a hardware defect that is already seen at the bootscreen. Will it be a problem that depends on the LCD or the motherboard?
Solved! Changed LCD bought in China. Perfect.
A while ago I had the bad idea of buying a refurbished G4 H818p on a chinese store. It was so cheap I couldn't be happier when it arrived and it apparently worked like new.
A month later I had to read a lot about bootloop and how to fix it as the phone suddenly stopped working.
I managed to disassemble the phone and I found that a new dissipator was applied to the main board but the quality was so low the whole repair lasted just one month. I tried to fix it with some new pieces of copper and thermal paste but it didn't work. So I went to the software solution and applied a tot file that made my phone to not use two cores. The phone resurrected but now I have some random green points on the screen after using it for a while (they are not dead pixels, as they change always) and many apps just crash after loading them the first time (they stay there if I load them three or more times). Are these problems related to the excessive temperature in the main board too?
Can I fix them too?
Thank you.
Hi everyone, I have a hardware issue with HTC 10. Firstly I love this once Flagship phone from the days when HTC was at the top of its game. I have actually purchased a few over the years second hand from eBay and repaired them. Herein lies my problem. I have enough known working parts to put a handset together. I was in fact trying to do this today with a known working Mainboard. The problem I encounter however was that once the phone was assembled with New battery and screen everything worked perfectly except the microphone. I assumed this was due to a faulty daughter board and mic. So I swapped out the bottom board for a different one, same problem. I then tried a third with no difference. I little perplexed I tried a few different options and mixing and matching components. I tried two different Mainboards with 3 different lower daughterboards and as last effort swapped the top daughterboard. Each time the phone worked perfectly with one flaw. The microphone would not pick up any sound. The only explanation for this, I could surmise, is the possibility that HTC has somehow matched their handsets components as to not allow this type of mixing and matching. i.e the 2 daughterboards and mainboard are coded only to work as a 3 piece set. I know the phone is now 5 years old and most tech junkies would roll their eyes and ask why I would bother. But I love this phone and come from an era where, when things broke you fixed them. If anyone has any feedback or experience with this issue I'd love to hear about it.
