Why exactly are you getting rid of your 6T? It's overall a great device and can easily last you for another year or even more?

Still One plus 6T is best than A70. if u r planning to go with A70 then its not advisable when compared to 6T.

You make some good points and I agree with you. Regarding gaming I know you said you don't play them on the phone, but you shouldn't worry at all, A70 will play all the latest games no problem if you decide to play something. I tried some games on A50 and it had no problems running any, and A70 has even better specs!

Yes I believe this is true,the 675 is a great chip.I used a device with 660 and there was no problems whatsoever, Processors these days are typically great above the 660,
Still on the fence about the a70 though,have been looking at the reviews,many point out issues with the cameras,front and back
Would need these to be great if I'm gonna swap my 6T which has been performing a lot better with Gcam
After much research and scouring the internet for reviews and insight,
I have decided not to go with the a70,although it is a capable and attractive device with many features,there are some downsides that would be too annoying to live with,
Most notably the in display fingerprint sensor which looks like it's first generation tech
And the camera not quite fullfilling it's potential in terms of megapixel stated and lack of stabilisation,
It would not be worth me giving up my 6T for this device,
I will continue to try and find a decent mid range device with good if not excellent camera and features the a70 have,
It may take another year actually but certainly the mid range section is getting better all the time

You're making the right decision I've had a 6T and A70 and the 6T has a much better camera specially in low light which is the real weak point of the A70. Megapixels are just numbers and doesn't say anything about camera quality. The camera and fingerprint sensor are the two weakest points of this phone. I didn't like the fingerprint reader even in the 6T as I found it annoying but this one is even worse and I rely on face unlock and only use fingerprints for authorization in banking apps etc. However screen is better and battery life is much better.

First, display is of course 6.7 inch... But with a 20:9 ratio, it looks tiny compared to the 6.9" of the mi Mix 3 I had before the A70.
Second, I seem to be allergic to AMOLED/SuperAMOLED technology. Display gets a really blue tint when tilted.
Third : battery life is real not on par with what I would expect from a 4500mAh battery.
Fourth : I am unable to use Super Fast Charging and I never had a device charging that slowly in the past 4 or 5 years...
Good I bought this device from Amazon and so can give it back within 30 days...
It is a disappointment, bercause on paper it had everything I am looking for.
Real life sometimes hits pretty hard

Yea,seems to be a bit of a disappointment overall for this phone,glad I didn't go for it,shame because on paper it seems ideal
I'm getting great batterytime on mine.
But camera and fingerprint reader is not where it should be for the pricerange.
For example my Xiaomi MI 9 SE is cheaper and camera is way better, and fingerprint reader is also better, but like most in-screen readers it is still slow. But sure it lacks headphone jack and has shorter runtimes with its 3000mAh battery.
Overall the Mi 9 SE is a better phone for less money.

Nice statement, but comparing a A70 and a mi9 SE is kind of pointless.
I don't think you can compare a 5.9" display phone with a 6.7" display phone.
Even if the rest is nearly identical.
Don't get me wrong.
I am a great Xiaomi fan.
If Xiaomi would have released a smartphone ABOVE 6.5" AND with a decent SoC, I would have gone for that immediatly.
But the only "phablet" in the Xiaomi range of products is the mi Max 3 (that I currently have) and that one does have a SD 636 and it has really horrible latency when you touch the display.

Are you sure you have enabled fast charging in settings? Battery / Settings / Fast Charging With Cable.
Just a thought, mine charges from 10% to 100 % in about an hour and a half.
Do remember that 25w charging is only enabled when the screen is off or the AOD is activated. Whenever the screen is on, even on the lockscreen, it'll be limited to 6w.
My OP5T still works great (besides the broken screen) but I think now is the moment to to still get some money out of it and upgrade to a new phone.
Bigger battery, higher resolution with 90 Hz (!!!), bezelless design.. the arguments are strong this time. Just the price is a bit high.
Do you plan to upgrade? And do you know if also well known/good devs will upgrade because Rom development is important for me.

Same situation here, but what really keeps me from buying the 7 Pro is the curved screen.
I just upgraded to the 5t from 3.
So no. I dont see the point in buying always the newest phone. Better an older one for a way better price.
Smartphones are so fast these days, you wont notice a real differnce anyway.
And dont see any significant changes in the speed in daily usage from 3 to 5t.
And in my eyes the 7 would be a downgrade. Popup camera... Fast face unlock? I doubt it. No notification LED anymore, no headphone jack, high pricing.

Honestly, I think OnePlus peaked with the 3T.

Personally, I'd stay away from the curved screen and pop-up camera. Unnecessary additions that jack up the price of an otherwise decent phone. I've had my eye on the Black Shark 2 actually, it has all the necessary upgrades at a lesser price.
Same here, i'm very happy with my 5T. OnePlus is my favorite smartphone maker but the curved screen is the ugliest invention they could make ... hopefully they'll drop it with the 7T. Until then my 5T will stay
I am thinking to upgrade to the op7 but not the 7 pro just the basic one as i dont really like the idea of popup camera but i am quite interested in the new sd855 processor.
The 90 Hz display is the thing I really look forward because I just LOVE smothness and also on my desktop I use 120 Hz+ and it is really different to normal 60hz displays.
but yes the popup kamera could be a problem but in the end I dont take so much selfies and the few times I do it should work I think.
TBH OP7 is a big upgrade in terms of hardware, but such upgrade aren't necessary with today's applications/games, so I'll stay with OP5T.
Of course its not necessary but since I am a hardware nerd/geek I just like something new sometimes. And well I should be able to get some money for my 5T.
OnePlus 5T is still cool and soomthly for me, play games with it is easy may be i will bay a 7T:cyclops:

I'm guessing there are some of yo have test-driven both.
And if so, I'm curious about why or why not?? The extra $300 is a little harder to swallow 2 months after buying a house in an inflating economy...

I decided on the pro for the LTPO display and the 48 telephoto. I learned quickly that 120hz eats the battery so I keep it at 60 which helps a LOT.
Other than that if I had a choice to go back and save the 300 I probably would. It's not that much better. And the stereo speakers are not balanced AT all.

I appreciate that. It's one of the reasons that I not sure which way to go, in that I don't need the enhanced resolution because I don't watch video on my phone or play games. It's just a nice feature to have it I guess but it's not a deal-breaker. The extra size is nice but mostly it's performance that I look for and from what I've read it's not a huge difference between devices.

I'm very happy with the P6 Pro and don't want to miss it. I come from the Pixel 4 XL, so the new wide cam is a nice addition. Considering that the P6 Pro has a magnificent Tele zoom (better than the new IPhones), there is no way that I would go to the Pixel 6 non pro, certainly not for "just" 300 bucks. There are just too many arguments - that matter to me - that make the Pixel 6 Pro the better value for my money.
If we would live in a better world, the Pixel 6 would have the same size than the older "non" xl/pro versions - so in that case, if the Pixel 6 would be a small phone, I would maybe consider it. But since the Pixel 6 is as big as the P6 Pro...

My main reason for buying the Pro was because of the 512 GB storage model available only on the Pro. Bought one for both my wife and me.
If there was a 512 GB model available for the P6, I would've seriously considered it. I have no regrets buying the P6P, though.
welcome to the indecisiveness club. The pro has that curve which Im not sure about but on the regular 6 you loose that QHD display(my 2 XL has it) and loose telephoto. Hell I can't even decide if want either new device with the fingerprint complaints LOL.
I tried out both the 6 and the Pro over the weekend. Colour temperature of the screen was a bit different, but I couldn't see a difference in clarity (resolution) at arm's length. Small difference in phone size. The telephoto on the Pro was super nice, but the curved screen was awful - hit edge of screen when holding phone. I'm going to put on a case, which should help, but the feel in the hand and curved screen were enough to push me to save the $.
I'm on T-mobile, who theoretically have some mmwave coverage, but at least today I don't think I am going to miss those bands in real-time use (heck, the LTE bands barely penetrate my building).
If you like bigger, more development, and price point, then try the Pro...
I do have both phones. Wife murdering me ugh.
Ordered the Cloudy White Pixel 6 Pro originally, and had it delivered, and upon opening the box and looking over this super cool new phone, the curved edge display jumped out at me, not in a good way. The screen edges looked like an old Samsung Galaxy phone from years ago, just a dated look, and they add absolutely nothing useful to the phone. Feels more like a Samsung phone, not a Google Pixel.
Plus tapping on the phone or using the keyboard, there's this strange hollow feel behind the 6 Pro, hard to describe until you have it in your hands, but it feels sort of cheap.
I then went to T-Mobile, picked up a Seamfoam green Pixel 6, and my goodness, night and day better. Just feels rock solid, the FLAT screen a dream. This Pixel 6 feels more Google type, and just a nicer phone to hold and use.
But I will admit, the 6 Pro does feel slightly faster and smoother than the 6.
If you have to question if the extra $300 is worth it for the 6 Pro, just go for the 6. The 6 is the Pixel for most people anyway. I went with the 6 Pro because I want the best Google has to offer and the 6 isn't it. I'm a previous 2 XL and 4 XL owner.

Lol this guy knows what he's talking about. I love the pixel 6 pro. When i walked into best buy 2 weeks ago, i instantly noticed a stark difference between it and the normal 6. The resolution difference is immediately noticeable. The smoothness, also instantly noticable. People that say they don't notice a difference between 90 and 120hz, well, all i can say is these people need their eyes checked. It's as obvious as night and day.
The biggest thing that left an unfavorable taste in my mouth, was how much the normal pixel 6 looks like a phone that was released in early 2018. Those. Massive. Antiquated. Bezels. Those bezels are simply to huge and gross. Also nobody seems to be pointing out the obvious. The build quality on the 6 looks very lackluster, and way less premium than the 6 pro . Just my two cents.
Do i wish the pixel 6 pro had a less curved screen? Sure, of course. After using the phone though, the curves are so appealing to the design asthetic, and it rests so ergonomically and beautifully in the hand. Google was also careful to design the curves to not refract light to much, or cause app padding/distortion. I love this device.
Many people or complaining about the fingerprint sensor and saying it's bad. It's not quite fast as OP9 Pro, but it's simply excellent. I have four prints for each thumb, screen sensitivity is set to to on and it's blazing fast and works every time.
Now, with that said, there most definitely are some legitimate complaints about this device, in my opinion. That unequivocally would be the charging speed, and the color reproduction. Thanks to some awesome third party apps, this problem is completely fixed. My device charges at more than acceptable speed, and the colors have a vibrant, slightly cooler whitepoint. No more beyond fugly piss colored screen. I'm on cloud 9.

Bro do what you want, but 60 hz should be banned and retired. Without exaggeration, it really is that bad. Stuttery, janky, and looks horrible. Not only that, but the battery savings are not profound. To make matters even worse, it's been reported by Ars Technica, that 60 hz on the pro is currently inexplicably worse battery life than 120hz. I know, i know, that makes zero sense.
Bottom line is 60 hz should be removed completely from 2021 devices for scrolling in my opinion. 60 hz was decent a few years ago, because we simply didn't know any better. We don't know what we don't know. The experience with it is horrible. The screen LTPO should only fluctuate between 90 and 120, for movement IMHO. Of course once the screen goes static, i don't care if the hz stops down to 30, as long as it's hidden well, once you touch the screen again.
According to reviews the P6 struggles to keep thermals in check and gets hot. While the P6P remains cooler, according to comparisons.

Can I ask you what third party app you used to change color reproduction ?
The thick bezels on the regular 6 are a turn off for me, so the P6P it is despite the LTPO display being limited by the SOC's lack of Auto-VRR switching
Not even a $300 tag would justify those bezels which look more like a ploy to upsell you to the (arguably) more aesthetically pleasing P6P

I couldn't agree with this more. I'm surprised that the masses don't see this. There's tons of dumb posts of people thinking the P6 is a better choice, on Reddit and this forum. Scratching my head.
People are bound to justify their purchase decisions despite contrary facts presented. Case in point, people accepting the Notch, first brought to market by Essential and made popular by Apple
I like how every new product release brings to light the previous version's shortcomings but people are too eager to justify their next new purchase, time and time again, with Capitalism ensuring that each version of product has at least one deliberate flaw introduced that is conveniently fixed with a brand new purchase of the next iteration. Never Settle
I'm sure the P6 is exactly what some folks need, and hard to justify a 50% ($300) price difference for P6P. If they had a 512 GB model of the P6, I would've considered it, and it's at least slightly smaller - some folks don't want a bigger phone, and having a flat-screen is at least some advantage.
Hi all I'm thinking of switching from my s21 ultra (exynos variant) but been hearing some bad reviews etc of bad battery life and not so good cameras etc on the pixel does any one who ownes a pixel 6 pro know if most of these have been fixed? And would people consider the pixel 6 pro over the s21 ultra or am I best waiting till the s22 thanks

hi, i have switched from s21u(exy) and battery on p6 pro is amazing comparing to samsung(9h+ p6 pro / 6h s21u - same usage)(p6pro 42h/one charge / s21u/28h) . not only battery, i like the mini rounded corners of p6 pro, software is good enough(its new), will be better after fex fixes.

After the Pixel 1 stopped getting updates two years ago, my wife and I finally upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 512 GB model, because for the first couple of years after the Pixel 1, I was waiting to buy another Pixel until they came out with a 256 GB model, and then by the time they did, I needed a 512 GB model so I still waited.
The Note 10+ hardware is great. I hate the software. I use my personal phone for my work too, my work uses Google for everything, and apparently, it's common with Samsung devices that they have sporadic syncing of GMail and Chat/Hangouts. When I told my brother about the problem I was having (and I did try deep-diving settings about not optimizing for battery usage, and not killing in the background, and even factory reset), my brother, who had only just bought his family their first smartphones maybe 4 years ago and go the Galaxy S9+, said that he assumed that's just the way Android is. It's not. I never encountered such bad GMail and chat syncing and notification behavior on any other phone.
For chat-type notifications, it was hit and miss whether I would receive timely ones. I could never narrow down what made the difference. For GMail, sometimes I wouldn't get a notification of an email until 45 minutes to even 2 hours later. Multi-tasking on the work computer, sometimes I wouldn't look at my GMail browser tab for long periods of time, and my boss likes to use chat quite often too. Half the time, I did happen to see the email in the browser tab, read it, and even deleted it (for non-critical things), and then later on my Samsung would let me know I have that "new" email. I already saw it and deleted it! Crazy.
There were other things Samsung gimped compared to other phones (Do Not Disturb...), and it also managed to duplicate all my contacts in a way that they're not recognized as duplicates so they can't be automatically de-duped.
Thankfully, back on the P6P 512 GB bandwagon, I no longer have those issues, and we quickly sold our Note 10+'s. So my answer is I'd trade any Samsung for a Pixel. Loved the Samsung hardware, but the software just doesn't cut it for me. The only thing I miss from the Note is the stylus from time to time, which would be handy for Pixel's magic eraser when you have to really fine-tune some erasing.
Oh yeah - I haven't had any issues with my battery life in the month I've had the phone. For the last five years, I never quick charge any phone, I only charge once the phone gets down to 25%, and I take the phone off the charger at 75%. I never charge overnight. The Pixel 6/Pro have Adaptive Charge to help battery life, but my 25-75% battery range lasts me 24 hours normally anyway. I don't own any quick chargers except my original Pixel 1 charger, and I don't use it.

If multiple days of battery life is a bad thing, or the camera is too good for you.... you might want to stick with the samdung.

I did the same thing, and battery is good after about a week or two. You have to give the adaptive battery time to learn your habits. Not sure where you heard the camera is bad. That's the best part of the phone.

There are 10 billion options for capacitive screen pokey things on Amazon. I can't tell you which ones I have, because I can't read the font they used to identify themselves, but works pretty good.
Owning currently both devices here I can maybe share a few thoughts, subjective of course as many of those base on what I like/dislike:
Pro S21 Ultra:
+ build quality
+ display quality
+ overall maturity of the software
+ better standby drain
Pro Pixel 6 Pro:
+ genuine, clean Android with less bloat
+ snappier UI
+ active battery life
+ Camera: much lower noise and much better dynamic range in low light
+ Camera: less heavy-handed noise-reduction/resharpening
+ (slightly) less weight
+ much more development friendly (no hassle bootloader unlock without lost warranty, no Knox.....)
All in all I like both phones, what makes me moving back to the S21 Ultra (or maybe again Mi 11U) is memory - sadly Google only sells the P6P with max 256GB in Germany which I find a bit too small for my purpose.....
And a few more words on the camera: Samsung has its own way in image processing and in many cases this leads to loss of details in grass/leaves/.... which I dislike. The Pixel 6 Pro gives much better results here, as with many indoor shots specifically of pets/kids.... So overall I much prefer the Pixel camera, this doesn't mean the Samsung camera is bad, though - it isn't !
The only thing I like about my s21 ultra is the display screen. Other than that, 6 pro tops it off. (The 6 pro is on par with the iPhone 13 max's camera btw) With the exception of the video quality of course. The iPhone is still the king for shooting high quality videos.
I have both. These are the most notable differences that I have noticed in using both extensively over a few weeks.
Everything else not-mentioned seems the same/equivalent between the two devices.
Battery; The Samsung has better battery life out of the box, hands down. I regularly saw 7hour screen time and easily made it 24 hours or more on a single charge. The P6P gets about 4-5hours screen time and only about 20-22hours on a charge.
Can only hope the P6P gets better with updates. I returned my first P6P because I thought something was wrong with it. Unfortunately, the second one is the same. It's bad (for some people, but apparently not everyone).
Temperature; You have to try really hard to make the Samsung work up a sweat. The P6P seems to get warm at random times without much going on (browsing forums, for example). Then other times when you would expect it to get warm (watching videos), it runs perfectly cool. Very strange.
Camera; There's nothing better or easier than the P6P when trying to produce consistent great quality pictures. Despite superior hardware in the Samsung S21 Ultra, overall picture results are handicapped due to inferior software/processing, especially in portrait mode. It has gotten better with updates, but still gets beat handily by P6P.
Size and Weight; The P6P is more hand/pocket friendly. It is noticeably thinner and lighter than the S21 Ultra, making it more comfortable in the pockets that I carry it in (back pocket or front shirt pocket). The S21 Ultra feels like a small cinder block in the pocket compare to the P6P.
Charging; Despite better technical sheet specs for the P6P, it charges inconsistently and slower than the S21 Ultra. It's not by a small margin either, P6P takes about 2x longer.
It also tends to get warm to the point of thorttling during charging. The S21 Ultra is consistent, and charges very fast and doesnt get very warm (certainly never throttles).
Software; I suppose this could be preference. If you like the Samsung software look and feel, then it's perfectly fine. It really runs almost flawlessly compared to older TouchWiz crap from Samsung. I prefer the look and feel of pure android from Google.

I think a lot of what you're putting down as negatives against P6P comes down to gservices and broken "pixel features". I'm running pure (google free) AOSP on mine. I pulled it off the charger this morning at 5:30 (7.5 hours ago). Currently have 1.5 hr screen on time and the battery is at 92%, and so far the battery gauge appears to be pretty linear. I've also NOT noticed ANY substantial heating up. It runs pretty cool consistently -- note that heat comes from the battery, so it makes sense.
Also, there is no magic battery BS in AOSP.
I upgraded from a Note 20 Ultra 512Gb and the battery on my P6P is phenomenal compared to the Note 20. There have been issues for some on the P6P but I've been using my 512Gb unlocked variant with no issue at all. Just make sure you set your P6P from scratch and don't transfer data from your S21 Ultra. Also the standby drain is the best I've ever had, took it off the charger at 9PM at 100% and at 8:30 the next morning was at 99%. Not everyone is having the same results that I have.
I had both for a while. S21 ultra for the last 9 months. Tested them side by side . I don't think the pixel is better than the s21 in any single way, they are actually so similar. I prefer the maturer Samsung email and calendar software but that's subjective. The biggest difference, which matters for me was that the pixel has more global 5g and LTE bands than the s21. I used Nova and mimicked the s21 completely. Really couldn't tell the difference except screen better on s21 IMHO.
if I didn't already own the s21 I would have bought the pixel but because they are so similar and it isn't an upgrade but more a move to the side, the change didn't make sense.
Display, build quality, signal quality and probably smoothness are all better on the s21U. However I prefer the camera on the P6P and also Pixel Android to OneUI. The S21U is a solid, well built device and I don't think the P6P is an upgrade, if anything it's a slight downgrade.

And if ibdecude to want to unroot can it be returned back to totally factory as if it was never rooted? I haven't rooted for years and miss been able to uninstall apps etc and is viper4android still going strong or is there another app in its place thanks
Stick with the S21 Ultra. I went from a Note 20 Ultra to the Pixel 6 Pro. I love the camera, the better speakers, cleaner software experience, but overall it doesn't feel like an upgrade. The 5G reception is slightly worse, Android 12 has lots of quirks, charging speeds are much slower, and customization is currently very limited. It's possible that it will improve with updates and custom ROMs but its current state is underwhelming. To be honest, I'm already looking forward to the S22 Ultra.

Yep, no bad sides to rooting or later unrooting at all, just jump through some well established hoops as far as banking apps are concerned. It didn't bother me and it was the first time I ever did what I needed for safety net and banking apps to not know I'm rooted. No one can tell you ever had it rooted if you re-lock the bootloader after restoring to 100% stock and then factory reset, which will re-disable the OEM unlock option on Developer Options.
You just never can automatically update to each months OTA, have to follow the proper manual procedure to update and stay rooted. I did it every month for over three years that I had the Pixel 1.
If you value the camera, root and stock Android then get the Pixel. If you don't value those then stick with the S21U. I came from the S21U so I can honestly tell you that the S21U is definitely a better all around device but the fact that I can root really made my decision easier to go with the Pixel. No, the Pixel isn't any smoother than the S21U as I've had both; they are pretty much the same in the smoothness department. Anyone who disagrees is lying to themselves.

Seems weird that they did a battery comparison without adding the S23 Ultra to the default listing since most shopping OnePlus will be looking at both.
Spoiler alert: OnePlus gets smoked.

I'm glad that at least they didn't do their performance benchmarks with performance mode toggled on so that people could see just how much OnePlus is throttling the SoC out of the box. Of course, they probably benchmarked the battery without performance mode too which would make this an even worse showing for OnePlus since that throttled X3 core is going to be saving a lot of power that the Samsung isn't.

I was snooping around to upgrade my OP7Pro finally. I was very interested in Pixel 7 Pro and almost ordered but it turned out the battery life is just bad compared to other current phones. Not something I expected from Google flagship. If not the battery, I would certainly buy it, even if I really dislike the vanilla/pixel barebones android experience. Unfortunately, Tensor G2 is dead on arrival compared to S8Gen2 and power efficiency.
So the only viable alternative for me was Samsung. S23 Ultra is just too big and has this stupid, unnecessary pencil which I will never use. Big size, space wasting pencil and 1400 EUR price is out of the question for me and I was happy to go for S23+. It looks very minimal and nice, specs are good, 4700MAh battery seems to be great on it according to gsmarena review and it seems its a really great phone for its class besides inflated Samsung prices. You can try and price your device like an Apple, but still its just a Samsung, even if a great one, its still a korean dishwasher or refrigerator. Oh, and no PD charger like with Apple...
The only thing lacking is >200 EUR price difference compared to Oneplus 11. An the latter has the slider which I use very often (I also have company IP12 and often use the slider too and i am surprised no other popular brand adopted the physical toggle).
I have a wireless charging on my Iphone and sometimes I use it during a day in the office - since I'm talking half of the day it is kinda usefull for me but I never felt real need for a wireless charger for my OP7Pro which is my personal phone. And having a very fast and bundled charger with device makes it pointless for me so I'm indifferent whether it has charging coil inside or not. I dont see any advantage to either wait for a slow wireless charger or pay premium for a premium and fast wireless charger (if compatible with the phone). I also don't care about IP rating since I treat all my phones as vulnerable to weather.
Overall I preordered OP11 with trading my OP7Pro and figured: either I will like it after 6 months or not and after that I will switch/trade it for S23+ or just wait a year and try the Oneplus 12 flagship if it will be even worth it to consider.
Pixel 7 Pro is the biggest disappointment for me this year. Xiaomi 13/Pro/Ultra even if great phone, I will never touch because of it's bad OS and f-ton of spying stuff. If I have to agree to a license to even start the simple calculator or file manager then something is wrong with this company.
Samsung is too pricey to try it first before OP11. If 11 fails, then I will go with S23+. Seems like a really complete phone besides price.
Guessing by how they had to slash the prices of the OnePlus 9 Pro and 10 Pro, at least in the US, the high end brand recognition is failing here. The OnePlus 10 Pro crashed from $1069 for the top spec model to the current of about $600. They lost many early sales to Samsung and Google that could be had cheap with carrier deals. They were smart to release the OnePlus 11 at the lower prices to start, but lack of being sold by carriers is probably going to further hurt brand recognition. It would not be surprising for OnePlus to shift its focus to foldables and the budget market. As Apple proved with the 14 and 14 Plus, the market for mid range is shrinking, as most want either high end or the cheapest thing they can get.
That said, the OnePlus 11 is definitely the most exciting phone they've released in a long time and has the potential to improve if they refine OxygenOS. Where the 9 Pro and 10 Pro were your typical annual processor bumps, the 11 brings a much more efficient processor, UFS 4 storage, Wifi 7, an improved camera, and more efficient screen. Also, many comparisons have been made to the Pixel 7 Pro. Yes, it has a cleaner software experience and better camera, wireless charging, but the slower, inefficient processor and slightly inferior modem definitely make the Pixel 7 Pro feel more upper mid range than high end. The Pixel 7 Pro is all about software, where the OnePlus 11 is top notch hardware. The biggest mystery is why wireless charging was left out on the 11, especially when it would have boosted accessory sales.
So glad I pre-ordered OP11, right now every time I try to play a graphical intensive game or multi task my Pixel 7 Pro stutters like crazy and even gets crackly audio distortion. I suspect even if OP11 throttles it will blow Tensor 2 trash out of the water.

No mystery around wireless charging / other compromises. Do you want a cheaper phone or not?
The other compromises I understand, but wireless charging is not hard to implement, and is seen on many budget phones. It's just a coil that goes over the battery. Given that it's on the 10 Pro, they probably could have used the same coil. Considering OnePlus also makes a wireless charging stand, you'd think they want to sell more. Aside from that, this is going to be an outstanding device.

I preordered OnePlus 11 but i am getting confused if i should buy S23 which is like 120$ more in my country. I have small hands. S23 seems light and small which is perfect for my hands. My worry is with small 3900 mah battery. Did anyone know about recent flagships if OneUI or their software degrade or ****ed up battery too much in one year. I would like to use the phone for atleast 3 to 4 years. I also see development is not good for recent Oneplus devices vs zero roms for samsung devices ( knox ****). Is there any chance if OP11 will have some hope for development ?
Or if i am going to use stock rom provided by one plus or samsung then s23 is the better option ?

IF OnePlus Fold later this year is faultless, 11 be my last single screen phone (and the tablet seems attractive)- esp because trade-in 11 will make Fold \ Tablet real affordable.
I agree with you Fold is the future, even for tablets- really looking forward to it.
I disagree about wireless charging- anchors one too much to specific location \ charges slower \ easier to steal or forget \ stops charging if you need to grab and use.
Maybe it's that I use it & move around excessively...

Do the math.. What is VAT in Canada? For me is 19% . And if there are other taxes.
And if you have 110v wall socket if it charges with 100w.
