So I searched some things and hopefully this will clear your doubts.
I'll be going through every popular ROM for this device.
Its been 4 months since OmniROM Oreo build and I truly believe that there will not be any more of OmniROM for the Find7 as there has been no changes in the repo. I am thankful for all the support the devs provided for this device for past 2-3 years. This and Nameless were two ROMs that supported LVMs.
I am also positive that NamelessROM is dead as well (even though the dev said he's working on it 30 weeks ago https://plus.google.com/+AlexanderMartinz/posts/N1Fmfc25iks there has been no changes in its source since a year approximately. Also, he's a bit secretive when asked to disclose his progress of ROMs.
AICP devs have already deleted all the Find7 ROM zip files from their website (http://dwnld.aicp-rom.com/?device=find7). No changes in the source after Dec 2017 either (https://github.com/AICP/device_oppo_find7).
ResurrectionRemix ROM is dead for Find7 as well. They are busy making 8.1 ROMs for OP5T.
MokeeROM and LineageOS 14.1 are still active for 7.1.2. As we all know, none of them support LVM/Unified storage.
Our only hope LineageOS 15.1, is still in development. I've seen its changlog and they seem to be working on it.
(I'm referring to the device specific changlogs - https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_oppo_msm8974 and https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_oppo_common.
crDroid will make a build only after LineageOS 15.1 is released. As of now they've put the device into "dropped" categories (https://plus.google.com/108033353751385883417/posts/V1MAec8qN1D).
Oppo Find 7
If I'm being honest, I've been running 2.1.5 color os and its been working fine for the past 3 years. I've tried custom roms but they just don't tend to work whether that's with the LVM or other features.
The phone itself is still an amazing phone even in 2018 especially the camera! :good:
I mean tell me one thing this phone cannot do?
The main reason why I personally think they have stopped giving support to mobile phones is because of the money that they are spending on advertisement especially in India where the entire Indian cricket team has OPPO labelled on their jersey. But, also the amount of advertising money they have spent to make the brand more aware in ASIA/Europe.
As for the OPPO Find 7 in my opinion is still one of the flagship device on the market.
I am looking for a new rom and a new battery but I can't find something. Also the oppo Europe community has been deleted from website..
still okay

Rest In Peace Oppo Find 7 - March 2014-2018
Now if you're like me and want to buy a device that has a great development community, don't ever buy Oppo again. The company demonstrated many innovative solutions and features in their older devices such as Find series and the N series but as of now they're completely against any third party development for their devices. They don't release sources like they used to (especially camera blobs) and want to focus on copying other brands.

Thank you very much for your comprehensive interesting summary. I did not know Oppo switched to consumer unfriendly mode. I am going to rethink buying an OP 5. Although I have to admit a Find 7a with omni 7.1.2. is running just fine, maybe another one or two years.

AOKP is still on, but nougat http://aokp.co/devices/find7
Is this AOKP work on Find 7a or its only for 7? Also are there any instructions on how to install it? Now i have 2.1.5i ColorOs with Supersu root installed. Can i have magisk instead?
Oppo cut off all international activities and projects because OnePlus now handles it for them. They know that Oppo and ColorOS can't appeal to the international market, which is why OnePlus has the whole stock android thing (and why OnePlus isn't very active in China. Oppo handles that side of the market).
I'm still hoping on Lineage btw.
My telephone rest here in front of me....
Still have Omnirom 6 with stock camera and other stuff....works like a champ!
But now i have a Mi NOte 3 to play.....still, Oppo was my best phone ever!

That doesn't mean much either. My Nexus hasn't seen any device specific change for a while now, still I'm confident that development is still going on.
I looked on Gerrit and Find7 has been promoted to 15.1, so fingers crossed the next build (tmr) is Oreo.

temp fix if you can't flash any LOS15.1 based rom:
in file : META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
remove the first a few lines started with ASSERT. They are checking if the zip is actually for the device. but the twrp we have for Chinese unified partition can't handle the check properly. just remove the check, and you will have oreo 8.1.

using PC, unzip the downloaded file, go to crDroidAndroid-8.1-20180409-find7-v4.1.zip/META-INF/com/google/android/, open updater-script with a text editor, make the change, save the file, re-zip. then flash the new zip file.

Hi all.
I already asked this question on the Samsung S10e forum without luck. I hope to find some help here, please be patient with me
I have a Samsung Galaxy S10e, model SM-G970F/DS, that is currently running Samsung's official Android 12. LineageOS 18.1 install documentation tells me that Android 10 or 11 is required to proceed with the installation. I don't think it is possible downgrade the phone to Android 11 (correct me if I'm wrong).
What do I risk if I attempt the LineageOS 18.1 installation? How "unbrickable" is this device?
It would be safer to install this LineageOS 19 beta https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-you-for-s10e-s10-s10-s10-5g-exynos.4346535/ ?
Thanks in advance for any hint!
I'm long gone from Samsung, but downgrading should be possible with Odin. Quick Google search gave me this guide: https://www.droidwin.com/downgrade-samsung-one-ui-4-0-to-one-ui-3-1/
I recommend using Sammobile for rom download. Should get you started.
Your other questions I have no answer.

Hello,
I have a xz2c with Lineageos17.1 and would like to upgrade it to 19.1
The upgrade instructions (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/xz2c/upgrade) seems to be for lineageos18.1 (at least in the title), but the description mentions android 10.
Should I be able to follow the instruction with lineageos 17.1?
Or do the instruction refer to the latest official android 10 image? (In this case, where can I find one?)
I am actually not interested in preserving the current environment, so I am willing to do a clean install too.
The wiki, again, mentions android 10 (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/xz2c/install), and I am not sure if it with "If the vendor provided multiple updates for that version, e.g. security updates, make sure you are on the latest" it is intended that I should install the latest official android 10 version of the phone manufacturer.
So I am assuming I need to upgrade to the official Android 10 version of SONY.
As I installed LineageOS 17 before this was available, and do not have the possibility to automatically update my phone, I've searched a little bit what I can do.
I found the tool xperifim (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-v5-6-5.2834142/), which lets me downloads the rom, but I do not know the CID of my phone.
The official guidelines of SONY are specific for the SONY ROM, does anyone know how to query it from LineageOS, adb, fastboot or with another tool?
Or better yet: is it relevant?
I just want to install the newer LineageOS image after all.
Hi. What you think can we have some custom rom in the future?
The recovery tools for OnePlus have not been publicly available since the OnePlus 9 series, so development is going to be limited. If you search the forum, there are a few people working on a custom ROM but it's unknown what level of success will be had.
So far, the current options include a GSI which is generic, and doesn't include many device specific drivers, so not all features will work. The other option is rooting and using a Magisk ROM which can make OxygenOS look more like a Pixel ROM and boost customization. Both of these options require an unlocked bootloader.

Yes it will happen, I hope in a few weeks. We're working on it. We did the LineageOS device trees, and kernel is compiling but it's still missing a few modules that make it non-bootable. For my part, I'm very determined, and will make it happen at all costs.
I'm still using my OnePlus 8 Pro daily despite having received my OnePlus 11 Pro. I absolutely LOVE the 11 hardware-wise (the fact it's a Marble Odyssey I imported from India to France helps) but I can't withstand Oppo's OxygenOS.
I'd really like more devs to join to make it happen.
Regarding MSMTools, I haven't tried to hack it, but as an experienced network hacker, I should have a look to it as I've recently learnt it's using auth now.
