I am coming from Note 10+ and purchased Z Fold4 with "Galaxy Z Fold4 Standing Cover with Pen"
When I visited Settings>Advanced features>S Pen>Air Actions it shows No S Pen paired and when I try to Scan S Pen it doesnt
Also when I visited first time in S Pen section the Air Actions was Off by default.....
Can some body confirm if the Air Pen feature doesnt work with Z Fold4 Standing Cover S Pen ?

only the spen pro has air actions on the fold line-up.
The fold edition spen has no bluetooth, only a coil to be detected by the digitizer

Oh, I didnt know, I bought S Pen with Cover .... Can u suggest, Is S Pen Pro really worth it? Or the Fold Edition S Pen is enough for majority of functions?
i'm only using mine when i dont want to get fingerprints, for my usecase it would be wasting 80 euros buying the pro version

Thanks, I think it should also fit my use case... anyway ... can u also suggest me smthng about my note 10+ (if u hv any knwledge abt it) the same Air Actions/gestures stopped working after Samsung update 4-5 months back , heppening with many users of Note 10+, S22 etc with S Pen ... other functions working but air actions not working or connecting... any idea on that?
I have no idea, I had a 10+ plus it was working fine.
Maybe a dead battery ? a new spen could be the solution

Hi !
Does anyone knows if the galaxy tab stylus (the same as here : http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/28/galaxy-tab-bluetooth-stylus-emerges-up-for-49-99-pre-order/) may work on the archos 70 IT ? And if there's an application to take hand-written notes ?
Thanks !
Any stylus made for capacitive screens should work.
I haven't tried any note taking apps so I can't recommend one to you sorry.
I would never buy anything that expensive when I could achieve the same results with something much cheaper. Found a 3 pack for $2.90 versus $80... Did I miss something?
The point is that most of the capacitive stylus I know have a very round and very large end... not very usable to write. This one is sharper, and seems easier to use as a real pen than the other ones...
Any capacitive stylus will work, including the DIY ones using conductive foam.
The problem is that the screen isn't really responsive enough for note taking. I don't know if it's a problem with the digitizer itself, or the software implementation, but in either case it's too slow.
If you write very slowly, it might work (see upper part of image).
If you write at a normal pace or even quickly, it definitely won't work (see lower part of image).

excuse me JasonOT,
I downloaded same app to write but the 4 option button of the Archos Interface on my tablet cover the ap option. Have you got a tip for me to see settings or option of the ap ?
Thanks
I use Graffiti by Access, it's in the Market. Works good for me, being an old Palm user, and I have not had delay/lag problems.
Just a note, the difference between the stylus referenced and the ones being talked about are that the referenced stylus is bluetooth and uses a bluetooth connection (and likely software) to work on the Galaxy Tab. The cheap ones are simply capacitive pens and work with the digitizer of the device. I'm guessing the bluetooth stylus would allow you to write on any surface and it would show up on the Galaxy Tab screen. Like those "smart pens" or whatever they are called for note taking and what-not.
I just got my Galaxy note 8, but when I initially started using it, I noticed that the s-pen didn't seem very responsive. When I took a look at the tip, it is kind of shaped at an angle. When I look at stock pics of the s-pen online, it looks like it has a rounded dome tip on it. I don't want to have to send back the whole unit, but the pen is really the main reason I bought this tablet. Can anyone let me know if the angled tip isn't normal?
Can you post a picture of what you are talking about so we can try to help?
- sent from my Note 8.0 using XDA Developers App
Here's a couple pics, not the greatest, but you can see that the tip of the S-Pen isn't uniform.

Please, if anyone with a Galaxy note 8 can chime in and let me know if this is normal or if there is something wrong with this pen.
That doesn't look right...
Mine is like in the stock photos with a rounded nib, not like the one in the OP's photos with an angled nib...I have the n5110 model. What about you?

I have the GT-N5110, the brown color one from amazon.
I had one of those malformed tips as well on my Note 8 (n5100) and had it replaced with a new one (which looks and behaves alright). Just contact your reseller or Samsung for a replacement.

I agree, Amazon has a great return policy. I would contact them and ask for a replacement pen. If not I am sure Samsung will cover it with your warranty. Best of luck!

Hi everybody,
There seems to be a protective film on the display of my brand new Tab S 10.5. It is hard to see, just a bit around the home button and you can feel it in the corners. It doesn't come off easily. Should I keep trying to remove it or is it supposed to stay on?
Thanks for your help!

If its hard to remove I wouldn't touch it.
A picture would help
Yes please post a picture, I want to know. Because Santa bought my one and it's seems to have screen protection?
New Tab S LTE here,NO screenprotector on it
Here is a picture. As I wrote before, it is hard to see. The flash from the camera makes it more obvious though.
I assume reubenskelly1992 is probably right... I will leave it alone for now. Maybe I'll ask Samsung about it.
ludoke, you can't see or feel anything around the button?

Nope, nothing to see or feel around the home button, deffinetly no screenprotector on my device.
On my Galaxy S5 just the same
Odd I dont have that. I cant remeber if there was plastic when I first got it. There was only plastic around the edges and camera. I dont remeber any on tthe screen though.
That is odd. Never seen that. I know mine didn't come like that. I do have the titanium bronze one though so maybe it's different? I don't get why it would be however.. Does definitely look like there's something there.
no screen protection on tab s.. only tab 4, pro etc, on protection there are pictures it is not transparent..

I have read a fair amount about pens for the ultra etc. but cannot seem to filter down to find out if a pen (active or capacative) would work with my s21 (base model), not plus/ultra.
An old report from here states only ultra works with the new s pen, but i'm opening the conversation up to all pens/stylus's
How does the S-Pen support on the Galaxy S21 series work?
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series has just launched, but does it support the S-Pen? It's... complicated. We have all of the details here!
www.xda-developers.com
Has anyone experience of this? I am assuming the basic foam end capacative one would work, but would an active pen work? I tried my old HP active stylus, but to no avail, that said it was invented with the ark...
THoughts please and suggestions of pens (if they work) greatly appreciated please, ideally UK orientated shops.
Thank you
Since I left the Samsung Note 4, I've been trying to find a stylus to use to the other phones I bought. The passive are not worth it. I bought a few active, the best being one called Gosin active stylus. I cannot seem to find it anymore, but it looks a lot like this. Mine uses an AA battery (not sure for this one, looks like it does too), it's heavy and thick, but works flawlessly.
I also bought the Blitzwolf Active stylus. At first it worked terribly, but since I removed the plastic tip and started writing with the metal nib, everything was fixed. Don't care if the metal nib could damage the screen (which it doesn't) since I have a tempered glass.
The blitzwolf works very well, the Gosin almost perfectly.
Arh, so an active capacitive pen will work, but i guess it'll effectively be replicating a finger press. So no smart features like pressure, thickness etc.
Thank you for the feedback, i'll take a look at them.

Correct, no pressure and other fancy staff!..
Update: Today I received the last one I had ordered, this no name. It cost about €12 and it came in a surprisingly nice package for the price.

Works as good as the other, more expensive mentioned above. The magnetic cap protects the USB port, the on/off switch works firmly and in general is as good as it can get. No reason to try anything else.
Now that the S Pen Pro is out (as seen at https://www.samsung.com/uk/smartphones/galaxy-z-fold3-5g/accessories/ ) has anyone bought it? It seems pricy, and I've no idea how you'd best keep it in your pocket...

I don't think it would work on S21, only on the 21 ultra, and I am not sure about the S21+.

Im pretty sure that the s21 (standard and +) does not have the layer between the screen to work with the S Pen. Only the ultra has it.
Hi folks, recently I saw that my sleep tracker in the Samsung Health app got a new section called "blood oxygen during sleep". Screenshots attached.
I'm just wondering if it's just another Samsung bug(or troll ), or something is coming.
Any thoughts? Sorry if it was already mentioned somewhere, but I might've missed it.
I'm on Android SHealth 6.18.6.015, watch R820XXU1DUE3/R820OXA1DUE3. Eu version, Poland.
Edit phone is Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G 512, unbranded, Samsung distr.

Interesting, I am almost certain I'm wearing it as they advise, I mean my wrist is literally built to wear it the way they intended to. Idk, probably Samsung's just trolling us
