stylus pen options for s21? - Samsung Galaxy S21 Accessories

I have read a fair amount about pens for the ultra etc. but cannot seem to filter down to find out if a pen (active or capacative) would work with my s21 (base model), not plus/ultra.
An old report from here states only ultra works with the new s pen, but i'm opening the conversation up to all pens/stylus's
How does the S-Pen support on the Galaxy S21 series work?
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series has just launched, but does it support the S-Pen? It's... complicated. We have all of the details here!
www.xda-developers.com
Has anyone experience of this? I am assuming the basic foam end capacative one would work, but would an active pen work? I tried my old HP active stylus, but to no avail, that said it was invented with the ark...
THoughts please and suggestions of pens (if they work) greatly appreciated please, ideally UK orientated shops.
Thank you

Since I left the Samsung Note 4, I've been trying to find a stylus to use to the other phones I bought. The passive are not worth it. I bought a few active, the best being one called Gosin active stylus. I cannot seem to find it anymore, but it looks a lot like this. Mine uses an AA battery (not sure for this one, looks like it does too), it's heavy and thick, but works flawlessly.
I also bought the Blitzwolf Active stylus. At first it worked terribly, but since I removed the plastic tip and started writing with the metal nib, everything was fixed. Don't care if the metal nib could damage the screen (which it doesn't) since I have a tempered glass.
The blitzwolf works very well, the Gosin almost perfectly.

Arh, so an active capacitive pen will work, but i guess it'll effectively be replicating a finger press. So no smart features like pressure, thickness etc.
Thank you for the feedback, i'll take a look at them.

Correct, no pressure and other fancy staff!..
Update: Today I received the last one I had ordered, this no name. It cost about €12 and it came in a surprisingly nice package for the price.

Works as good as the other, more expensive mentioned above. The magnetic cap protects the USB port, the on/off switch works firmly and in general is as good as it can get. No reason to try anything else.

Now that the S Pen Pro is out (as seen at https://www.samsung.com/uk/smartphones/galaxy-z-fold3-5g/accessories/ ) has anyone bought it? It seems pricy, and I've no idea how you'd best keep it in your pocket...

I don't think it would work on S21, only on the 21 ultra, and I am not sure about the S21+.

Im pretty sure that the s21 (standard and +) does not have the layer between the screen to work with the S Pen. Only the ultra has it.

galaxy tab stylus for 70IT ?

Hi !
Does anyone knows if the galaxy tab stylus (the same as here : http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/28/galaxy-tab-bluetooth-stylus-emerges-up-for-49-99-pre-order/) may work on the archos 70 IT ? And if there's an application to take hand-written notes ?
Thanks !
Any stylus made for capacitive screens should work.
I haven't tried any note taking apps so I can't recommend one to you sorry.
I would never buy anything that expensive when I could achieve the same results with something much cheaper. Found a 3 pack for $2.90 versus $80... Did I miss something?
The point is that most of the capacitive stylus I know have a very round and very large end... not very usable to write. This one is sharper, and seems easier to use as a real pen than the other ones...
Any capacitive stylus will work, including the DIY ones using conductive foam.
The problem is that the screen isn't really responsive enough for note taking. I don't know if it's a problem with the digitizer itself, or the software implementation, but in either case it's too slow.
If you write very slowly, it might work (see upper part of image).
If you write at a normal pace or even quickly, it definitely won't work (see lower part of image).

excuse me JasonOT,
I downloaded same app to write but the 4 option button of the Archos Interface on my tablet cover the ap option. Have you got a tip for me to see settings or option of the ap ?
Thanks
I use Graffiti by Access, it's in the Market. Works good for me, being an old Palm user, and I have not had delay/lag problems.
Just a note, the difference between the stylus referenced and the ones being talked about are that the referenced stylus is bluetooth and uses a bluetooth connection (and likely software) to work on the Galaxy Tab. The cheap ones are simply capacitive pens and work with the digitizer of the device. I'm guessing the bluetooth stylus would allow you to write on any surface and it would show up on the Galaxy Tab screen. Like those "smart pens" or whatever they are called for note taking and what-not.

[Q] Any hope for physical keyboard accessory?

Hi everyone,
Does anyone how to contact Samsung for requesting them to design an official accessory? Or even an after market company if its interested in making physical (bluetooth?) keyboard for Galaxy note.
Something like this:

I don't think anyone buying Galaxy note is concerned about the size or thickness of such accessory and probably it can make gripping the phone easier. Also, it is possible to add more battery juice with such design. With all that in mind, I think there is a great market for such accessory for this phone or other phones in general.
What do you think about this? and Do you know any contact info for samsung (Not the customer service - I want to contact someone who takes my words seriously) or other companies to ask them for such accessory?
Brief info (You can skip it):
I really got tired from waiting for mobile with dual-core (now seems: quad cores are coming), good GPU, 1GB RAM & with sd-card extendability and decent screen with physical keyboard and good battery. After long time waiting, Galaxy Note came to meet my needs, but with only one major thing missing for me a physical keyboard. After seeing a physical case for iPhone, I said why there can't be any for Galaxy note? and here I am writing new thread about this.
OMG this accessory is my DREAM.
Is theire any keybord like this compatible with the Galaxy S2 ???

eBay and Google might help you in this. Yesterday, I couldn't find one for Samsung Galaxy (Only for TAB like dock) or anything rather than iPhone.

First, thanks for this useful post.
I think I needed to be more specific about this, the keyboard should be in case. I mean when you need it, you slide it out and when finish get it in. Like Droids(milestones) and Xperia Pro/Play.
It is really annoying to carry bt keyboard with you all the time (as the official bt keyboard).
By the way, Logitech keyboard doesn't seems particle. Having it seems better than nothing and I'll need to think about it more. Also, Do you think it going to fit with Galaxy note?
Edit: it seems the guy with the keyboard (Logitech diNovo Mini) attached it to his dell streak with tape.

The Logitech keyboard looks amazing. I think i will buy it and test with my Note. But it's pretty expensive. So it will take some time.
I like physicall keyboards, and I think for such a big device like the Note you can create a great keyboard, better then HTC's.
I found on amazon some interesting bluetooth keyboards. And much cheaper. Honestly they cost min. 30 €.
I think i will order one in sone weeks for testing. If it will be good, i think i can make a matching case myself.

Anyone managed to hardhack the diNovo Mini and the Note together ?
Great keyboard but expensive ... I'm looking this with Azerty keyboard and more cheaper ...

[Q] Any 10 inch or more keyboards for this yet?

I have seen someone use the Acer Iconica keyboard, as it has a holder for it - however it is not very stable. I cannot understand why no-one has made a keyboard that is 10 inch or more for the nexus 7, as 7 inches is just too small. a 10 inch keyboard is only 1.5 inches either side!
Thank you,
Habylab

Probably because the makers of the keyboards make it as part of a case in which to carry the tablet around with, not a standalone that you leave somewhere. If someone made a 10" keyboard case for a 7" tablet and the person was ok to carry that keyboard case with tablet around, why not just buy a 10" tablet then?
I can imagine they wouldn't sell very well either. If they would have, you would bet someone would have made one by now.
I am using the logitech bluetooth tablet keyboard.
the case of the keyboard turns into a rack for the tablet
but you can't use it on your lap, you need a desk to use that keyboard.
and you are carrying two piece around instead one like a keyboard cover.

But no one thought something like the iPhone would sell well until it was considered, like this idea? It makes perfect sense
Less weight
Bigger, easier keyboard
Same great portability
More stable to hold tablet

Has anyone got a suggestion then instead? A good case that I could use on my lap along with a wireless keyboard?

ZAGGkeys Cover keyboard working with Galaxy Note 10.1 2014

Hopefully ZAGG releases a keyboard like the one for the iPad Air. Since the iPad Air is almost same specs in size and thickness I decided to get the ZAGGkeys Cover Bluetooth Keyboard. Works great only con is, the short cut keys are specific for the Android OS and at times the keyboard disconnects or for some reason a letter gets stuck and you get a few letters.

That does look very nice. I have been thinking about buying one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium...id=100033&prg=9264&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=161261699812 but it does have one big drawback in that the angle is fixed.
I don't think I shall hold my breath waiting for Zagg though. The Note 2014 has not been a big seller and isn't well-supported by accessory manufacturers unfortunately.

Yeah, don't see ZAGG releasing a ZAGGkeys cover keyboard type for the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 anytime soon. I agree on the current aluminum keyboards only having the fixed angle.
Do you still advise this keyboard?

Thank you for the perfect presentation. I want to buy one and just wanted to be sure. Do you have any problem with this keyboard? I can make slight modifications to avoid pressing the home button or something. Other than that if there is any problem I would like to have your advise?
Some advised to keep the Bluetooth visible all the time to avoid disconnects . Does that worked with you or you still have the disconnection problem ?

No problem. .. about the keyboard. I use it pretty much daily. About the only thing that really happens is that the Bluetooth disconnects from the Note 10.1 2014 Edition while I am typing. But this doesn't happen all the time. There is times when it does it 3 times when typing long emails or documents. I have gotton use to this, so most of the time I just quickly slide the on/off button on the keyboard and connects right up again and I continue where I left off. You can say that I have learned to live with this since I know this keyboard is meant for the iPad Air, fits nicely with the Note 10.1. I really like the ability to tilt the tablet to almost any angle. Still hoping that ZAGG or maybe Logitech will produce a keyboard like this. I haven't found a way to keep the keyboard from disconnecting.

[Q] recommended slim case with no S-Pen troubles

I had two cases already,
a 360 case and a slim leather with magnets.
the 360 was very convenient for standing positions with alot of options, but was too big.
the leather was very slim and comfort for holding and taking away, but the angles for positions were lacky and the magnets are messing up with my S-Pen and that's unacceptable for me. The tablet is 90% for studying (I write on it as notebook) and I have to have it working..
Do any of you perhaps found some good cases with fine viewing angles and positions but yet slim and light?
I only care for 2 viewing angles:
~80 degree, a standing one for watching, it doesn't have to be super stable at that one
~30 degree, for writing, this one must be stable.
I'm willing to invest few extra bucks for a fine case.
please share what have you already found, I don't wanna waste more money and time for 'testing'.. Asking the sellers is pointless, they barely speaks English and 100% don't understand what the freak do I want from them
Thanks alot ahead!

Also, have you found one of these (especially the Moko one that caught my eyes) on eBay?
I'm not from USA, so amazon is pretty useless for me, and I can't find it on eBay aswell

It Does Bounce some. Also if you stand it up it will try to slide out of the Clips. I put a piece a two sided tape on the back across the top to prevent this..
But in either position i can Use the s-pen. I like the case because its simple but protects the screen from scratching when out and About.
I agree - in the position shown, I have no problem using the S-Pen.
