Hi everyone,
Does anyone how to contact Samsung for requesting them to design an official accessory? Or even an after market company if its interested in making physical (bluetooth?) keyboard for Galaxy note.
Something like this:

I don't think anyone buying Galaxy note is concerned about the size or thickness of such accessory and probably it can make gripping the phone easier. Also, it is possible to add more battery juice with such design. With all that in mind, I think there is a great market for such accessory for this phone or other phones in general.
What do you think about this? and Do you know any contact info for samsung (Not the customer service - I want to contact someone who takes my words seriously) or other companies to ask them for such accessory?
Brief info (You can skip it):
I really got tired from waiting for mobile with dual-core (now seems: quad cores are coming), good GPU, 1GB RAM & with sd-card extendability and decent screen with physical keyboard and good battery. After long time waiting, Galaxy Note came to meet my needs, but with only one major thing missing for me a physical keyboard. After seeing a physical case for iPhone, I said why there can't be any for Galaxy note? and here I am writing new thread about this.
OMG this accessory is my DREAM.
Is theire any keybord like this compatible with the Galaxy S2 ???

eBay and Google might help you in this. Yesterday, I couldn't find one for Samsung Galaxy (Only for TAB like dock) or anything rather than iPhone.

First, thanks for this useful post.
I think I needed to be more specific about this, the keyboard should be in case. I mean when you need it, you slide it out and when finish get it in. Like Droids(milestones) and Xperia Pro/Play.
It is really annoying to carry bt keyboard with you all the time (as the official bt keyboard).
By the way, Logitech keyboard doesn't seems particle. Having it seems better than nothing and I'll need to think about it more. Also, Do you think it going to fit with Galaxy note?
Edit: it seems the guy with the keyboard (Logitech diNovo Mini) attached it to his dell streak with tape.

The Logitech keyboard looks amazing. I think i will buy it and test with my Note. But it's pretty expensive. So it will take some time.
I like physicall keyboards, and I think for such a big device like the Note you can create a great keyboard, better then HTC's.
I found on amazon some interesting bluetooth keyboards. And much cheaper. Honestly they cost min. 30 €.
I think i will order one in sone weeks for testing. If it will be good, i think i can make a matching case myself.

Anyone managed to hardhack the diNovo Mini and the Note together ?
Great keyboard but expensive ... I'm looking this with Azerty keyboard and more cheaper ...

So, I've been looking for a way to use my Cappy to take notes in classes, instead of my laptop. Searching on Google brought up a Youtube video of a Apple bluetooth keyboard working with the Samsung Vibrant (still newbie, can't post links).
Does anyone how or if this is possible with the Captivate? If not, does anyone know of a good alternative for under $50?
xda>captivate>accessories (aka where this post is) look down a few posts... theres already a few.

I would think it works. Bluetooth is a pretty universal technology and as far as I know, the Vibrant and Captivate are near identical. I know there will be some internal changes for the different frequencies and some exterior styling differences, but fundamentally the same.
Yeah, I should have mentioned in the OP that the Dinovo mini keyboard and similars are not really what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for something closer to a netbook-size keyboard.
ebay search : "mini bluetooth keyboard" theres all sorts of sizes
Ok, thanks, do you (or anyone else) know if the bluetooth keyboard being sold for Ipad (it's being sold as 'Slim Wireless Mini Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad Mac PC') will work with the Captivate?
Seems like a great option, given the price and portability.
I've used my desktop Bluetooth keyboard with my phone without any issues. I would wager that ANY Bluetooth keyboard would work. I also used a Bluetooth mouse. That was cool, a mouse pointer shows up on the screen.
There must be literally hundreds of options for Bluetooth keyboards. Just check out Amazon, or Google shopper.
Just like memory is universal I bet Bluetooth accessories are universal. People slap compatibility on anything, "micro SD card for Captivate", "AC to USB adapter for iPod", etc. I bet the iPad keyboard would work fine.

So, I bought the keyboard I mentioned and it works great.
Only problem is I can't use the keyboard's accents (tilde, for example). Is there any key mapping app I can use?
Sent from my Cappy using kickass FireFly 2.9, oc/uv Onix 2.0.5 and xda premium app.
the red accents? hold FN while pushing other buttons. its not a toggle its a hold+
shift gives you CAPS and blue accents

Hey people,
I just stumble on a bluetooth slider keyboard for the Iphone and I would be interested to know if this thing exist for our Note? The biggest advantage of the sliding keyboard is that you can also tilt the screen upwards and the keyboard just slides in the case.

Seems really nice nope? I wouldn't mind the size/price as the physical keys are what I missed the most for typing/gaming - what do you think?
Nice idea, but I enjoy my touch screen keyboards regardless.
Nice idea
Nice,, but we have big screen, a keyboard is not necessary
Actually i was thinking about this too, as i really loved the physical qwerty keyboard on my B7510, but agreed that a physical keyboard is not necessary due to the big screen. However i searched ebay before, i stumbled onto this. Might not be the exact type as shown but quite similar.

Don't buy it.
The keyboard feels shi t, so much so that the Swype/etc keyboard works easier.
They should've known not to use flexible key-buttons. Otherwise, a great product.
PS They could've also implemented a microUSB connection, so that the battery life lasts longer
I wonder if you can get another mini keyboard to use in that since one one is so bad
I had one for my iPhone 4, and it had that chinese cheap feel to it. It worked but ... also the OS wasn't designed for it so it had many inconsistencies.
I would LOVE a physical keyboard because it's a lot easier to walk and type with. Sometimes the predictive text on Ultra Keyboard gets it wrong.
What keyboard are you guys using? My only prerequisite is that it be able to have multiple languages as I am here in Spain and I need to type in both English and Spanish.

I am looking for a sliding gaming pad or, at the very least, keyboard that I can map gaming keys to for use with an emulator.
I have seen someone use the Acer Iconica keyboard, as it has a holder for it - however it is not very stable. I cannot understand why no-one has made a keyboard that is 10 inch or more for the nexus 7, as 7 inches is just too small. a 10 inch keyboard is only 1.5 inches either side!
Thank you,
Habylab

Probably because the makers of the keyboards make it as part of a case in which to carry the tablet around with, not a standalone that you leave somewhere. If someone made a 10" keyboard case for a 7" tablet and the person was ok to carry that keyboard case with tablet around, why not just buy a 10" tablet then?
I can imagine they wouldn't sell very well either. If they would have, you would bet someone would have made one by now.
I am using the logitech bluetooth tablet keyboard.
the case of the keyboard turns into a rack for the tablet
but you can't use it on your lap, you need a desk to use that keyboard.
and you are carrying two piece around instead one like a keyboard cover.

But no one thought something like the iPhone would sell well until it was considered, like this idea? It makes perfect sense
Less weight
Bigger, easier keyboard
Same great portability
More stable to hold tablet

Has anyone got a suggestion then instead? A good case that I could use on my lap along with a wireless keyboard?

No, it won't Samsung has moved away from their proprietary connector to micro-USB in the new (2014) note.
The only positive keyboard experiences on Android I have heard of are from those using bluetooth iOS (iPad) ones. And yes, I owned one (for a galaxy tab) myself.
I'm hoping Logitech will pick up the 10.1 with this dock: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/ultrathin-keyboard-folio-for-samsung-galaxy-tab?crid=1221

Why is the tab getting all the good keyboards? Has it been available a lot longer than our tab?

An ASUS keyboard without having to buy an ASUS tablet. Awesome.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 10.1 via Tapatalk.
hopefully we'll see some good covers soon, id like to get the new note 10.1 to replace a netbook i mainly just browse and use RDC on it, for windows programs or heavy working i can rely on my laptop like i do now.
Would be nice if samsung would make one like this for the note:
samsung.com/us/computer/pcs-accessories/AA-BK1NWBW/US
Ive been close to purchasing that tablet but the hardware specs have held me back plus its windows... the s-pen and the keyboard case did make it tempting though.
I'm not making the purchase till a week or 2 prior to christmas so maybe i'll be lucky and by then they have a good keyboard case but if not i assume a bluetooth keyboard and a dock would work.... guess this is one area that asus has the advantage.
Belkin Yourtype Bluetooth Keyboard Stand
It is a universal keyboard dock made by a reputable company. Seems like a good solution for now and looks great too. I might get this.

Cheaper on Amazon, as low as $50 if you buy used.
I'm concerned about it sticking to the textured case of our tablet tho., and read the reviews. Most ppl are not happy with it.
Hopefully ZAGG releases a keyboard like the one for the iPad Air. Since the iPad Air is almost same specs in size and thickness I decided to get the ZAGGkeys Cover Bluetooth Keyboard. Works great only con is, the short cut keys are specific for the Android OS and at times the keyboard disconnects or for some reason a letter gets stuck and you get a few letters.

I don't think I shall hold my breath waiting for Zagg though. The Note 2014 has not been a big seller and isn't well-supported by accessory manufacturers unfortunately.

Yeah, don't see ZAGG releasing a ZAGGkeys cover keyboard type for the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 anytime soon. I agree on the current aluminum keyboards only having the fixed angle.

Thank you for the perfect presentation. I want to buy one and just wanted to be sure. Do you have any problem with this keyboard? I can make slight modifications to avoid pressing the home button or something. Other than that if there is any problem I would like to have your advise?
Some advised to keep the Bluetooth visible all the time to avoid disconnects . Does that worked with you or you still have the disconnection problem ?

No problem. .. about the keyboard. I use it pretty much daily. About the only thing that really happens is that the Bluetooth disconnects from the Note 10.1 2014 Edition while I am typing. But this doesn't happen all the time. There is times when it does it 3 times when typing long emails or documents. I have gotton use to this, so most of the time I just quickly slide the on/off button on the keyboard and connects right up again and I continue where I left off. You can say that I have learned to live with this since I know this keyboard is meant for the iPad Air, fits nicely with the Note 10.1. I really like the ability to tilt the tablet to almost any angle. Still hoping that ZAGG or maybe Logitech will produce a keyboard like this. I haven't found a way to keep the keyboard from disconnecting.
