Hi there, I'm about to get the international version of the M8 that runs on the 2.5ghz processor. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to the appropriate thread about rooting this version?

Is the Rooting method mentioned for RMX1991, the Chinese Variant working for the Indian X2? If yes, then can someone please post the correct steps to do it in the Indian Variant, and also if Fingerprint and magisk modules are working or not after going through with the process?
I saw a root guidance for Exynos platform, so is there any guidance for snapdragon platform so far?
Is it possible to get the AP files pathed on Magisk then flashed to snapdargon phone, making it rooted the same way?
just curious about it..
Just take a quick glance at this forum as a whole. Not possible now and probably not ever.

Depends on what you mean by "snapdragon".
Models N975U and N975U1 are not rootable at this time. It has been discussed very thoroughly (and asked on more then once) here on the forum. An example of such discussion can be found in this thread. Reccommend you browse through it, the thread contains a good amount of information you will find beneficial.
Model N9750 (international variant) can be rooted. Out of the snapdragon models this is the only one that can be. An example of this would be the thread linked below, directions on how to root in the 2nd post.

Also take note that the process for rooting the N9750 does not work on (or for) the N975U and N975U1

Many thanks for your reply.
what I am using is the N9750 model. seems fine for me. but after I go through that Magisk rom thread, seems it confuse me a bit as it like a modified custom rom, but not the procedure to get root on origin stock system image( like flash twrp & Magisk, that's enough for me).
but anyway, I would like to dig out the info I need.:good:
If you were to get a dual-SIM tray and flash the global ROM to the NA OP9 Pro, would there be any issues using dual-SIM? Also, even if it did work, would there be any way that an update would remove that capability?
I've never flashed a ROM before, so please forgive my ignorance.
I was just thinking about this more, probably needs more than just installing a rom. probably a needs msm tool
I did exactly that (picked up dual sim tray, flashed EU OOS full) on my OnePlus 9 5g NA (AA) version, and the second sim still didn't read. As another member posted, it likely will require a custom MSM flash. I had hoped the TMobile conversion tool/procedure would work for that, but can't risk my main phone for now.
