Question What happend to Raghu varma and moto g60/g40 development? - Moto G40 / G60

Hi everyone.
I just noticed that currently there's just one developer (Raghu varma) who's developing for our Hanoip devices; last month i noticed that his XDA threads had been closed by his own request. I searched a little more, and i noticed that many of his other development threads from other devices were also closed (by his request i guess)
Does this means that development for our device are kind of abandoned?
Also, there's a telegram group that publish his roms (and any other from this device, if any) and there aren't new posts since august 27.
Does anyone knows anything? :'s

I don't know, I'm using aosp13 and there are basically no bugs

i've found this,
sad

So...one guy in one device forum...made him stop all development for all devices? Sounds a bit extreme, but...I gotta say, I kinda understand where is he coming from with all this.
Hardware is expensive. Even building on a Google virtual machine costs money. And when you're building multiple ROMs for multiple devices, that means lots and lots of TBs of storage, and a pretty beefy computer so you can finish all that work preferably before New Year's.
Also, I know this kind of people. People who love to just complain about everything. I see them everywhere. And it drives me crazy. It's like nothing is good enough for them. They keep complaining and demanding stuff. And they tend to forget all the work and all the time that goes into this. They just don't appreciate it. I mean, it's not all about the money. Although, as I said, hardware is expensive, and...you do need to eat, once in a while. So...a little something would be really appreciated. But when you're doing it for free, and you don't even get a thank you; instead, you only see complaints and requests and people demanding things to be done in a certain way, in a certain time...you get sick of it pretty fast.
People like this don't care enough to see the good in anything. Everything is trash, everything is not worth anything (even when you get it for free!), so...yeah. The rest of the post has been removed (and I'm sure it was for a good reason), but I can imagine what was probably there before.
So I kinda understand his decision. Development is not easy. And it can be expensive, if you want hardware. So...yeah, when you see people like that who are just not ok with anything, you kinda wanna give up on everything and move on. Cause you feel like nothing is worth your time more than your own life and your own peace of mind.

The post has been closed, and the bluetooth of that rom can only be paired and cannot be connected to use and the android auto cannot be initialized. I think this may be related to the bluetooth failure. . . . . Well if it weren't for these two questions I think it's pretty good. . . . . Pity

Well, in fact, I used three roms made by him. Among them, los does not have its own Google suite, which does not meet Google's requirements, so it can't run Android auto. However, aosp and pe come with Android auto and Google suite. but apparently they face the same bug there must be a bug somewhere and i will have to go back to the official rom to get me to use android auto

To be honest there is nothing to hide but ultimately the background music with hate is just making me more headache to deal with these few haters. Even though if you look in to my works from last 3 years to till date. I am following my protocol with proper terms & conditions. So just dealing with few new haters in a positive way. On top of it i don't even care about other developers unless they do something to me or some friendship from long but ultimately if you look in to his posts, he himself posting all drama . So better he should surrender with his own scrap. I am out from this so kindly from now i request XDA moderators to ban all these story writers who post racism/criticism/nepotism stories.
By the way the Kang word doesn't even fit to me because ultimately according to GPL my kernel source is always publicly available and you can take that and share to XDA DRT team. Iam ready for it. Most importantly i already told to everyone in all places( inside & outside XDA )as well "if anyone have issues with authorship then come to me, will review and proceed accordingly but if i identify the commit is fishy then i will discard on face" but ultimately few knew only creating drama.
Thanks for your time moderator.
Cheers

because one useless guy there complain about bugs.... so simple

Yeah, that's thanks to the HD2 lol
Well deserved as well. Best site for technical advice on HTC & Winmo and progressing greatly on Android front to
Would be nice to get the active count up though
This is one of the best online communities I've been to
hats off to us all i say
Couple of Questions
This is very good news but I have some questions:
- How are the XDA servers bearing up under the weight of all these members? Getting error 502-bad gateway is a routine occurrence when I log on at night in Europe (daytime in the US) and find all our American cousins logged on, hogging our servers. How dare they (lol)
- Given that this site is probably singularly responsible for a whole load of people sticking with the HTC brand, has anyone from XDA actually approached HTC for financial support and/or technical collaboration? We seem to be solving all their problems for them and keeping them in business without so much as a Corporate thank you in sight
- Moderation, with this number of members, must be an absolute nightmare. How does one nominate oneself to carry on this good work (hint hint)?

1 & 2: the 502 errors are software errors, the only system level workaround is to build an entire resilient failover system, and this will be more that just new hardware .
We (well the admins) are still working on the software issues that are causing the problems.
As for moderators, we are 60 strong, but not all active at once, some of the others have real lives to live.

Dave,
Thanks for the answers to my questions.
As for moderators leading real lives, are you telling me XDA is not the REAL world? I feel like Truman off the Truman Show. Has it all been an illusion, a figment of someone else's turgid imagination (gets his coat)?
WB
Wow!!
Yes we are huge!
I think the real interesting number is the active users one as the 2 mill sure includes a lot of one time only enter members, spammers, etc.
Very funny Mike (ROFL).
WB
Somehow we need to get a "number of images posted by Mike" count. It must be near the 10,000 mark by now!
3 members moderating 2,206 users??? wow!
first time ive been on a site thats even gone pass 100k
good job
that IS huge.

Thank you system is unbalanced

The "thank you" system currently seems to be unbalanced. The problem is, users who make up cool stuff that isn't actually tested are getting voted quickly (without question), because many of them act as though they were properly tested in the past (but haven't). There is no means to revoke such "thanks", and users who repeatedly make up crap, are receiving numerous thanks. It's also quite easy to accidentally click the thanks button (as no confirmation is required). At the very least, we SHOULD be able to revoke "thanks". That way if someone is thanked, but are later proved to be making stuff up, at least users can revoke their thanks.
Ideally, we need an indicator that CAN become negative. Because there are currently quite a few users out there posting complete crap, which newbies will thank them for (because some of them are speaking with such authority, and claiming "that they proved it earlier", that they get praised for nothing.
If information accuracy is important on XDA, this needs fixing. At least a way to request citation, or references to claims being made would be nice.
+1
I've on many occasions pressed the "Thanks" button by mistake when I meant to press the quote button.
We need a thanks mod installed that can also revoke given thanks aswell as a confirmation.
i think a confirmation, when thanking someone is a good idea, but not revoking thanks, this could be used as a form of bullying or harrasment.

it's happened on other message boards who allowed Thanks/UN-thanks. Someone will say something that rubs someone wrong and then that other person will unthank every post until it's a large negative number giving the illusion that they shouldn't be heard.
I use the thanks button as an anti-clutter device in threads at times. I'll give thanks on posts that I agree with so I don't give a redundant and uninformative post with a quote and +1. Just clutters things up IMO.
Perhaps just change the name to "I like this" or something.

Because he's been on the internet for more than 1 hour. un-thanks, as he has said, could indeed cause some serious problems.
But I do agree that that Thanks button is easy to hit. This has been brought to the attention of the people upstairs and they are trying to work out a solution.
Yep. You can use the old XDA style if you want to try and avoid it.
I had to block the thanks button via my adblocker, as it is right were I am used to seeing the edit button on each post, so it's too easy to tap when going to edit something.
We do need a nice way though to vote posts as unproven.. Not sure about other forums, but there are a huge percentage of posts on i9000 which are total bs being presented as fact, our untested.. It's ruining the quality if xda and mods aren't reacting, or requiring they prove there claims. There are even known repeat offenders Who seem to like all the thanks they are getting. Harassment can be stopped by limiting it to 2 thanks/fiction credits per user. That also stops gangs of purple teaming up and boosting each others stats to make themselves seem more credible

This seems like an insane solution.
I agree that there shouldn't be an unthanks button in the sense that you can make the post seem negative - but what about the ability to remove thanks?
I have wanted to quote posts and hit 'Thanks' by accident on several occasions, thanking posts that really don't deserve to be thanked. Other forums that have the thanks button allow you to "remove" your thanks - in case you changed your mind, or thanked the post by accident.
I like the concept of thanking posts, it just seems poorly implemented on xda-devs - growing pains I'm sure, I just hope that it keeps evolving - the current system IMHO is broken.
...Thanks!

I did a few because of the stuff DamianGTO was saying, and yet, nothing ever changed. You need to make it part of the rules, that posts might be deleted if they are presented as factual nature, yet are unproven, and the poster REFUSES to change it to present it as opinion.

THREAD CONTENT
My motive
My goals
Introduction child-boards
Child boards under my recommendation
My Motive
However XDA is a wonderful community there is still some room for improvement. XDA is great, as so are 'most' of the people around here, but however it's greatness there is still
one thing that does sometimes annoy me, is its organisation..
Let's be honest some people don't know where they should start their thread of where to find stuff, on the other hand most people who do have those problems are mostly plain stupid or are to lazy to search.
Yet I believe, that a little re-organisation will be able to address this matter and makes our lives, as the lives of users, mods or developers a little easier.
Lucky for you guys, I am not the guy that just complains, without constructing or achieving a potential solution.
I already put some hard work in it and I am fully prepared to do even more if necessarily , but before you judge me, please read and see see what I had in mind.
My Goals
Optimizing your User Experience
Creating new Levels of User Potential
Simplifying current structures and its organisations
Smoother, Faster, Clearer and Better
Introducing child-boards
I know it looks plain simple and you can believe I barely made any changes. BUT THAT IS THE KEY! That is my GOAL, keeping things as slim as possible. Still a child board can achieve an immense difference just only in your experience.
Imagine this simple user interface: Where you'll be able find to find a sub-board with ONLY ROM Releases or just everything related to it, so as for kernels.
Still I am perfectly aware that the ANDROID development goes beyond, ROM's and Kernels, YET these 2 elements in my opinion the main reason why people go to XDA, or they create kernels and ROM's or they want to flash them.
~~~ Organisational Problems ~~~
No offense but isn't this a little weird, that so many people voted, where they'd best place their own thread?
Or is still someone able to tell, where I should fit this topic?
Child boards under my recommendation:
Separated Product Model Boards:
Even though people might find it lame, just know flashing the wrong firmware onto your phone, can brick your device,
accidents easily occur and even I noticed I accidently clicked onto the G development without even noticing it after 5 min and however the difference might look minor to some of you.
Why would you put 2 devices in the same area, knowing they require different systems, firmware and work on different hardware, meaning even though they are in the same range, THEY STILL DEFER
General Talk:
NewsThis community has a lot of potential users, that are motivated and willing to uncover the latest and hottest news for their phone or their device and I am fully aware that we do have XDA Tv.
But still I strongly believe this could be a very very useful sub-forum. Moderators or Forum Staff can sticky their posts to announce new rules or competitions
and only selected members will be able to post news concerning their galaxy s2 or their device, to decrease chances of any spam topics.
So why would we miss out on this potential, why wouldn't we publish a story that for example, AGPS, allows you to get a faster GPS lock or people invented a new script to conserve 50% more battery than usual,
does it really harm anyone, that one story wouldn't be that interesting, as this place could offer you, a pool of different stories that might catch your interest.
Nobody is forced to publish something, neither are you to read, you'll only have the Galaxy S2 knowledge library right at your disposal.
Android Developent:
Seperated ROM & Kernel BoardWouldn't it be way easier to find all your ROM releases in one place and ONLY them?
Would we even need updated indexes anymore, when this would all be clear and accessible in one single location,
would we even be bothered to posts polls as where should I put this thread as you might have already seen above?
Wouldn't this make your user experience more simpler finding in two clicks whatever you'd like?
I'd certainly vow for this!
ROM & Kernels Separated, everything else, in the android development thread (Applications, scripts, Tweaks, ...
Interactive Search Functions
You shouldn't' be thanking me, it's my privilege I can be part of this community.
I saw a lot of potential around here and I am not much of a scripter, neither am I able to cook mods or roms
But I just wanted to give something back in return
I am just a simple student from Belgium with some crazy ideas
Still I feel honored my contribution will be taken in consideration and if you just require my help
Or you want me to do something, don't even hesitate to ask
Yours sincerely, Intensity
I for one, love this new idea. The separated rom and kernel sections are superb, it would be so much easier for users to find what they want. I could spend time writing every little thing down, but im on a short schedule. All in all, I want this
Works the bomb, has battery optimization options as well... Sorry you don't like his work... I love this. Don't think Sammy is gonna come out with it at this point. They have been talking out of their A S S since the S10 came out about this option... Maybe in a long long time....
I think it's comparing two different things, despite the boombastic title of this thread. Why forget Energy Ring? It is a battery indicator, if you need that better not forget that app. Chainfires app is very advanced and well developed, but serves a different purpose, it reacts to apps notifications that try to trigger the LED.
He's an asset but not to any community, you shouldn't think he does this for pure boredom or internet appreciation, he's hasn't always been very transparent about his apps.
Besides that problem, the app itself has limited functions and everyone who tested it reported noticeable drain.
Samsung should implement it because they have full access to the system and their solution shouldn't need hacks(like faking the lock screen) to work, it seems stupid for them to waste the chance of using the cutout for notifications after teasing it for so long.
I agree they should implement notifications but will they? , edge lighting notifications already present not that it works like
I read ridiculously stupid posts almost every day on XDA but yours is by far the dumbest wall of text coming from a senselessly triggered unrelated person I've ever seen.
You even brought some followers with you to like your comment, very nice but that's just silly.
I personally couldn't care less about Chainfire or his work and I have no reason to hate him either, simply no reasons for me to lick arses around like you just did.
@topjohnwu is both a better Dev and a more honest member, if you really want to worship anyone then he's the first man to deserve that.
And no, the guide doesn't involve disabling any "common features", whatever you meant with that, it's all about introducing common sense in power management, every paragraph is optional and unrelated to the other, it doesn't involve root or damage to the device in any way.
Hold your horses ppl, i think both Chainfire and topjohnwu are great members of this community.
There is absolutely no reason to pick one over another.
I simply do not allow bashing or downplaying any of them!
So please play nice shall we?! :good:
Nah I wouldn't don't touch anything remotely related to Chainfire.
I'm an S10+ owner. I use these particular forums every day as an S10+ owner. And also as a user of the app mentioned in the OP.
And also as a moderator of the forums.
That's how it's related to me.
OP just got excited about coming across the app, and wanted to point it out to others. This thread did no harm. While comments like yours do.
I'd say you can continue moderating your own Reddit or 4Chan threads, you're clearly not doing your job here.
There's already a topic on this in Themes, Apps and Mods, no reason for this thread here to exist, even worse now that it's filled of rude triggered comments, Chainfire fanboys and "stupid ****" like your unnecessary intervention, pathetic.
[Treble][Vendor][OnlyPin][J7Po] This is a ProjectSpagetX Modified And I repair
This is a ProjectSpagetX Modified And I repair it and become Pumpkin
Advice for everyone, no one uses a Project_Spaget X or 3.0 or old Do not use it with any gsi Except for pixels
Because you will notice a lot of problems with it, even if it is
He repaired it
Because I repaired and added files from Xiaomi
I think that if Astmrr society here will take the fittest and suits him for himself
Everything links has been deleted because it violates Forum Law No. 12
must read
Because I modified the work of a person
His work corrected him, with a lot of things being deleted
It is not enough to add his name to the topic
As for some of the last links, they were deleted
Because she was making very little profit from her
* This violates the forum rights
So bye guys
Hahahahhhhhhh complete and And also for your information These files are from an official ROM and not an invention ananjaser1211 Don't thank anyone Because ananjaser1211 it is not an inventor but a copy
But all thanks to you
Because you fix mistakes about Project Spaget X and you have the right to call it whatever you want Pumpkin And I think it takes you a lot of time ,
Was you required to repair it?
And you posted it If you do to yourself, but you did for everyone and take nothing
Therefore, trust yourself and do not look at anyone or the words of anyone
Just read this and I find it hilarious. Do I need to remind you that without (me the copy) there was never going to be any treble in the first place ?
Or proper TWRP support. Or proper exynos 7870 kernel (on 8 devices) or even proper roms ?
Know what you are talking about before you move your mouth. And no don’t credit me for (taking some of the files) when you took the ENTIRE project
I don’t think you wrote the convertors. 99% if the vendor or kernels or anything. The changes inside are extremely minimal and are hacks hence why you will never see them in my vendor. I don’t work to support one GSI
Thank god i left this community, you people truly don’t deserve anything I’ve done the past 3 years
First of all:
1. What mistakes????? Last time I checked the mistakes are yours.
2. I have flashed many different kind of GSIs both Q and Pie on my J7 Pro and they works flawlessly with Spaget X so I don't understand wtf do you even mean by "only except pixel GSI work".
3. Why does this thread even exists.
4. You kanged the whole thing and then give it a different name. Haha you're so funny.
5. LOL! Unstable hotspot? Non working flashlight? Spaget X have neither of those bugs.
Mmmm yes I love the delusion you are displaying here, you should be thanking Anan instead for bringing Spaget vendor and much more to ****tynos 7870.
I really owe you an apology to @Our Mine
miui 11 with Project Spaget X
To know the correctness of your words and what you do from repair thank u
I don’t know what to tell you because of my words
You are truly a humble person who deserves respect
Unlike @ananjaser1211 and And two others
A conceited person say without me me without me knowing who I am and this is what I noticed in his words when I thanked me even if he did something that is nothing but an arrogant person who hates the success of others and he only succeeds
About @CM users
He does not have the courage to speak from his main account so I know who he is and now he will make an account and an account until he speaks and he is a user I hate these kind of people have no coward
Yes im arrogant for providing everything to this community without any conditions and for free.
look how many threads ive contributed into across xda, over 500. and none of those times i asked to be credited personally.
im moving this to the moderation and they can handle this mess on their own.
Well, you said this, you are arrogant of your attributes
Well, let's talk
Taking simple additions and adding them to the phone is
Also, did you make these additions, u do one some good gsi also from rom
And did not complete it
As you say over the past 3 years 300 y haha , your deeds are nothing but a copy of the official ROM from the phones, and you haven't created anything
Just a copy
It seems right in the end with Mai Ahmad words
I wasted a lot of time talking to you
U should work Indian movie ،The talk is over
atleast we agree on something, wasted time.
go to sammobile, download G965F firmware, extract vendor.img , and make it boot on exynos7870 without copying spaget. then we talk about "just copying"
if you boot a G965F Vendor stock directly from samsung, i will shut my mouth. until then, we have nothing more to talk about, and the proof of ripping off other peoples work will be when all these threads are closed.
you guys dont even know the difference between libs, hidl , services or anything. did you spend 3 months crafting a convertor ? or building what you took as a .zip and think its by samsung ? even on stock samsung vendors you will have less than 70% of the compatibly spaget does because unlike what you think and what ourmine and co are feeding you, vendors dont "just work" there are libs i made, scripts i made, hacks i made that you guys think will be in stock vendors. but hey im just a copy right ? . i swear people these days lack basic common sense. nobodies thinking they know **** about developing because they can copy an xml or an apk. im done here
This thread should be closed anyways. Because this is a copycat
