Hi, i am using A32 and i bought my phone in switzerland so the service provider version is AUT/AUT,AUT/EUY/AUT.
If i insert a SIM card from a different country, for example germany, and wipe the phone, does it automatically change to DBT/DBT,DBT/EUX/AUT? If yes, how do you prevent it?
I also heard that it won't trigger CSC changes by inserting foreign SIM on newer devices, is that true?
Thank you for your answer.

Hi,
I'm having trouble inserting th smsc into my HTC Desire. I'm on the optus network in Australia. I have both the 'normal' and pdu format. Is there a special trick to successfully insert the smsc number please.
Thanks.
Not sure why you'd need to change it as it should automatically work correctly after you insert the SIM card.
The correct number and format is: +61411990001
What happens when you press Refresh?

That's what I thought but it doesn't do so in both my Android phones, a Desire and a GNexus. However, when I insert the sim in a Blackberry, it works fine. Which brings me to believe it may require a PDU format. I've since updated the Rom on my Desire and entered the SMSC number above and I can now send national sms but not international. My provider assures me there isn't a block on my account so they're sending me out a new sim card. The GNexus does require the SMSC number in PDU format, though.
With my account i dont use same sim and its work
Then probably it can be work with sim blocked or unused
I dont have other sim or sim blocked but you can try
Just put sim and conect with your account on apps
Then unplug sim and samapps work
If I am not wrong @adfree did that somthing like 3 month ago...
Sent from my MAGPAD9.7 SuperPlus using xda app-developers app
Can't remember. But I think I have no solution yet without SIM.
Btw.
I can't see solution in Video.
How ?
Best Regards
I think he used which I used many time ago trick.First time download something from samsungapps and when finished switch off your phone and extract your SIM and open your phone you will able to use Samsung apps without SIM
Maybe I am wrong
You mean only first time SIM is needed to write few Config data...
Then SIM is not more mandatory?
Best Regards

Now just extract firmware again and compare it with virgin firmware use Winmerge (can compare folder)
I think its because im connected first time with sim with my acount then unpluged sim and can use samapps
Maybe difference its account information and not easy to push it all ready on new firmware because account differ
Also you can try exec simapps with simcard and not connected with your account and try again connect samapps without sim if works then we find how make firmware who can connect withtou simcard
Or maybe its just some file changed like info in Kona bin(exxemple) when i use sim and connect with account then just need copy past it on new firmware...
KonaTermsInfo.ini
Code:
#Terms
Version=1.1.5
#Country
mcc=262
mnc=1
csc=DBT
Maybe this is the "magic"...
I am too lazy now to remove my SIM...
My Fingers tooo big.
Best Regards
Lost it on 31st Dec. I know Android Device Manager can help if he ever Turns ON the phone and insert sim card. But is it possible to still locate it even after he change IMEI or use it in a different country? Can Google still Identify it as my device?
I am S-off, rooted, unlocked bootloader...But just went through some resets & other headaches yesterday trying to install the last OTA... Whatever I did, the phone seems to be having a few problems.
First, when I boot up, as expected, it seems to connect to the network pretty quickly. Then it finds my Wi-Fi and authenticates with it.
Then it switches to Wi-Fi calling... But it also then says there is "no SIM card". Really weird.
I downloaded a generic SIM card info app from the play store and looked at the information on my SIM card. From what it looks like, two fields are blank: (i) the SIM operator field, and (ii) the network operator field.
I am have not changed my CID so that's not a factor.
Can someone else here (who is on stock but rooted) check their SIM card to see if there are any values in these two fields?
Thanks!
So I am trying to figure out how to swap my physical sim for an esim but I don't see menu call sim manager. How do I enable? Do I have to flash a different rom?
