Krexus-CAF is what the name implies. The Krexus unique combination of mods, on top of a clean uptodate and latest CAF source.
Built mainly of top of AOSP-CAF (with permission) and using only what's necessary from all the other great non-nexus device supporting ROMs (CyanogenMod, Dirty Unicorns, AOSPB, Tesla etc), Krexus-CAF tries to provide the maximum compatibility possible with CM-based device trees while keeping a small ROM base.

About Krexus:
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.[/SPOILER]

Me too waiting for the next update. Krexus is the smoothest ROM ever on my MOTO G 1st Gen. I am hoping for same performance and smoothness from this one. Please focus on this ROM. It will be a boon for Redmi 1s users.

I hope it will update that can be a daily driver. I seeking for a caf based rom that frequently updated.

smoothest rom till date. just one bug notification led is not working for me while charging

My quick review:
1. One of the smallest mm rom I've ever seen (only 215mb). The cool thing is no apps are removed that is not available at playstore.
2. Super smooth, despite of stock kernel used.
3. More 30 mins music playing time, no audio bug (I don't know for a longer time. I will keep testing).
4. The kernel is good. No heat issues.
For now, one of the best mm rom or best caf based aosp rom. I hope for continuous updates.

First impression is nice.
But I found Network based location doesn't work; when GPS is not available, ie. inside a building, it cannot show approximate location through network/wifi/bluetooth scanning.

I couldn't get past setup, says network has no signal then offline setup just sits on the bouncing animation for hours , will try again sometime.
Tried again today, after connecting to WiFi it sits on getting your phone ready until it fails with no internet connection. router says it's not even trying to ping anything lol but it's got full signal

Ok here's the issue(s) I faced so far :
- ambient display not working (full ambient and ambient only when charging neither working)
- double tap for wake ambient not working (it's going to lock screen instead, but with gesture under OnePlus setting working fine)
- edge lighting not working
Will update if I got another issue(s), my device is dumpling

I've wiped data and everything and redownloaded and adb sideloaded this time but still won't setup - same as before after choosing wifi network it eventually fails saying there's a problem with the network and then stuck on just a sec literally forever if I try offline setup.

I am on OP5 and I haven't had any issues booting up. Saying that, I don't think this rom is optimised for OP5 since it is missing some OP5 options such as hardware button customisation (unless I have not been able to find it). I am also having some issues with gesture navigation too and this may be related to the hardware buttons and how you can't disable them, I am not able to swipe the edges to go back regardless if the option is enabled in settings. If someone is on OP5 and gesture navigation is working fine for you, please let me know.

For me, yes. I'm not experiencing any major bugs or stability issues (since about 20hrs after installing the rom)

It's a fantastic Rom.
I have not had any installation problems and neither with use.
It is fast and stable.
Very good performance for me

i see.. so did you use display hal from los? ( i think ) when use these, it will cause bug in display color. like we use boost, then sometime color get wash. i get this issue in many rom btw. but i dont know it cause by display hal from los or not.

I used hals from PE which are based on CAF R tags, instead of the lineage hals that are Q ones for now

FW isn't included, but if u don't have any problems with PE then no need to update fw

1. Remove all fingerprint/ Lockscreen Security in your current ROM
2. Download the Stock 17.0240.2107.100, Recovery (TWRP or SHRP) and Magisk.
3. Power off your phone and boot into Bootloader by pressing Volume up + Power Buttons
4. Boot Recovery using Fastboot
5. Flash the Recovery Installer and Reboot to Recovery
6. Flash Stock 17.0240.2107.100 + Recovery Installer for first time and Reboot to Recovery and do this again to ensure stock on Both Slots
7. Reboot to Recovery after flashing Stock for 2nd time
8. Flash Evolution-X ROM + Recovery and Reboot to Recovery and do the same thing again! (to ensure on both slots)
9. Format data in Recovery and Reboot to Recovery and then Reboot to System
10. Wait till ROM Boots. Upon Setup again go back to Recovery and now flash Magisk
11. Be sure to enable MagiskHide for Safetynet to pass
12. Flash the included SQLite Fix for GPay to work (Attached to this thread)
13. Wait till installation is completed.
14. Reboot to System and #KeepEvolving
Update / Dirty Flash
1. Download the latest ROM Zip
2. Reboot to Recovery

As far as I know Evolution-X does not come without gapps

I'm very excited to see this rom on this phone. Thanks a ton for porting it even if it is unofficial. It's not really my daily driver but I use it enough that lineage was a little lackluster. I did however use evox on my op8p previously and really enjoyed it. I really hope you keep this one going for a while the install process was a little long but it is very thorough. If I find any issues while using it, I will let you know!

Will custom kernel like kirasakura work ??

No, it's only for a10 for now

have heat problems I use it for a couple of hours. The battery is dead. The battery is dead. The temperature is heating up. But the usability is great. The disadvantages are as follows.

I expected some bugs coming to the rom but I don't find any major bugs or problems.
I clean flashed the rom and rom is fully stable
Apart from the the rom is unofficial, everything is so good
Battery life is great as other custom roms 8+ hours sot (in 60 hz)
& So much goodies like
EvoX customisation
Pixel launcher
Ambient display (wakes device for few seconds and shows song changes and notification in AOD)
In magisk CTS profile didn't pass, and later I found out it has nothing to do with the rom.
All payment apps work flawlessly with magisk hide enabled.

Great ROM, currently my daily. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is night light - tried the built in one as well as CF Lumen and Flux. The customisation options are fantastic and the battery life seems to match what I was getting on the stock.

Hey @mudabbirulsaad is there a gapps-free and signature spoofing supporting version of your rom? I would love to try it, but I only use MicroG

evolutionx always comes with gapps with pixel spoofing. so, no need any microG or anything.

So, there is no signature spoofing? As I stated, I only use MicroG.

I don't use gapps, but only replacements of some apps. Furthermore I like slim systems, another reason not to use gapps

evolution comes with gapps by default, so, I don't know what are you talking about. sorry.

It's ok, maybe there could have been a version without gapps and with signature spoofing...what about your other rom Project Zephyrus, is there a version with signature spoofing?

You may check my other builds here which I haven't posted on XDA yet. gapps and vanilla are both available.

Does any of them have signature spoofing?

Coming from LineageOS 19.1:
Orangefox doesn't decrypt data partition, so unable to format. Had to use TWRP to format for clean install.
So, formatted and flashed with TWRP - keyboard doesn't work
Tried adb flash on TWRP, same!
I was only able to make it work via OrangeFox after wiping everything in TWRP, return to OrangeFox and flash via ADB from there.
Since, most things work out of the box, but randomly flickering screen.
Any suggestions?

We release the build after testing 1 week as daily driver for our device and we didn't encounter any of these problem. If you really believe that it's a build issue. Then mention with proper logcat.
adb logcat -v time -d > logcat.log (if you're on windows platform)
adb logcat &> logcat.log (for Unix platforms)

looks interesting, waiting for oktober patch build to flash this room, thanks dev

How I put light capacitive buttons on touch?

just a suggestion, for those who will try this rom, so that the fingerprint runs well, try to install 7.1 September build, setup the fingerprint then dirty flash v7.2 Thanks for the rom

fortunately it went away by itself after a couple of reboots. now I've discovered that I have wired headphone issues, just like on LineageOS. The sound worked perfectly for abou 10s when a popup about TTY showed. since then, just a popping sound but that's all I hear on it

Face unlock calls the rear camera, and the front camera cannot be switched

Thanks to the developers for bringing EvolutionX to this device. But there are two bugs I find. The flashlights switch is not working as it said the camera is using it when there even no camera app working in the background. On top of that, Both front and rear cameras are incorrectly used when using third-party apps. This bothers me a lot. All in all, You guys have brought new life to this old model and I am very grateful. I'm looking forward to the next release to fix these issues.
