Question Questions and Problems about the Pixel 6 - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. I've had my Pixel 6 for about 8 months now, and I've had some problems and concerns that I want to resolve. I was hoping perhaps you guys can help me
Photos and videos sent to my number through the Messages app is delayed and takes forever to download and display. And sometimes, if I try to send a photo or video to one of my friends, it says "Message not sent. please try again", and it'll show that it keeps on sending. And my friends will say that the same photo sent to them 8/9 times, and they get annoyed. I'm wondering what the problem is. Is it my pixel, the google messages app, or something else? Is there another trust-worthy app that I can set as my default messages app that won't cause these types of problems?
My battery seems to drain much faster now. When I first got the phone, my pixel could last about 8-10 hours on full charge with normal activity. Now, it seems like it barely lasts 4-6 hours on full charge with normal activity. What can I do? 10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254
My camera quality isn't the best. I've heard others say how great the picture quality on the Pixel 6 is, but personally, I don't see it. My pictures are very washed out, and the color is completely wrong. What can I do? Is there some sort of update or something else I should do?
My volume seems to lower on its own sometimes. When i'm listening to music through the phone speakers and put the volume bar at max, a minute or two later, the music will be lowered a little (2-3 clicks) on its own! I don't know what's causing this or if this is some sort of setting I have to turn off?
These are some general questions I have for now. Thank you to everyone who replies and tries to help me out. I appreciate you all. Have a great rest of your day!

[Q] Screen stays on for too long after receiving text

Hi. I've been in a dilemma all afternoon and it's been literally 8 hours that i've been looking for a solution to this but I can't find one. So i've decided to post here.
I have a Sprint TP2, on the latest EnergyROM.
Here's my problem:
Everytime I receive a text when the phone is on standby, the screen will turn on, and it will stay on for the next 1 minute. So my phone would be on and wasting battery for the next 1 minute. I'm concerned because I receive a lot of texts a day, I've overclocked my phone and it uses a lot of battery when it is on, and i barely have enough battery to get me through the day. The setting for the phone to turn off is at it's lowest (1 minute), and if i had my way, I'd like it to be set at 5 minutes because i dont like the screen to turn off while i'm doing something.
Is there a way for the screen to turn on when I receive a message, then turn back off after around 3 seconds (like the iPhone)?
or maybe a sure-fire way to keep my phone from waking up when i receive a text?
I actually searched for the setting/registry tweak that completely disables "wake up on SMS" but weirdly, it doesn't work for me and for many other people.
I've tried using the proximity-off feature, but it's not as effective as i want it to be.
If you have any suggestions for me, please let me know. Thank you!

If you like the iPhone look, then you could use a lockscreen to get the results you're looking for. S2U2 is a lockscreen resembling the iPhone one. It also has tons of features to play with including one to set the screen timeout in seconds. I used to have it set to 10 seconds, but you could do three if you wish.
S2U2 did the trick! thanks!
Keep screen off after receiving text
Finally found a thread that is similar to what I'm looking for. I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 CDMA with Energy Rom installed and I wanted to know if there was any way to keep the screen from turning on when I receive a text.
I would still like it to turn on when I receive a call, just not a text because when I receive a text, I normally let it sit in my pocket for a while before I respond (I do a lot of driving)... which means that right now, it is just sitting in my pocket with the monitor on, wasting battery life.
I've tried everything from going through the general settings to Total Commander. Have not figured it out yet and would GREATLY appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this.
Thanks in advance!

I wasn't able to get the screen not to turn on at all. Just download S2U2. The screen will turn on when you get a text, but depending on your setting, it will turn off after a few seconds when youre on the lockscreen. S2U2 works wonderfully. Try it.
Screen off help
Check out this THREAD for a possible fix. It works for me!
Yeah, I tried S2U2... was just hoping there would be a way to completely disable the screen from turning on at all when receiving a text.
Thanks for the help!

[Q] What kind of lag/issues, if any, have you been experiencing?

As this is my first Windows Phone and I wasn't really sure what to expect when it came to fluidity, I was pleased with how smooth everything is. However I've begun noticing a decent (read: annoying) bit of lag when I open up the messaging app and begin typing. The letters take a second to appear and autocorrect is slow if it comes up at all. The lag only last maybe 3-5 seconds but annoying none the less. I've also had some rather bad experience with laggy apps, with Skype being the worst culprit. I read good things about the recent refresh, but it's pretty much unusable for me. I've also been having issues with losing LTE and having it drop down to "4G". A simple toggle of airplane mode fixes it, but it's gone from happening rarely to happening once or twice a day now. When I do have LTE though, I have 4-5 bars constantly.
Anywho, bit of a wall of text but I just wanted to see if anyone else is having similar issues and if it's worth going to AT&T and seeing if they'll replace the phone for me as I'm still within my 30 day return window.
EDIT- Just remembered 2 more issues. Had it reboot on my when adjusting the volume and there's a weird clicking noise that happens when I swipe from the first picture in the camera roll. The phone is on silent, and it only happens going from the first to second picture. Little odd but not a big deal.

The only problem i have seen is:
When i switch off my phone and turn it on sometimes it freezes and i have to turn it of an on 2 or 3 times in order to get it working. this has been happening recently i dono whthere it is to do with some apps or firmware issue.
sometimes the touch screen also give hiccups specially on facebook app.
No other problem. coming from samsung galaxy s 2, i only miss the ability to change my homescreen every week with a different launcher and layout. The apps that i miss are Tweetdeck, 100% working Pulse, Youtube and Facebook App.
My Lumia 900 playing Angry birds is so much faster and smoother compared to SGS2.
Overall i am happy with the looks and performance of my phone.
I get that messaging problem as well sometimes where the keyboard lags and the typing noise doesn't keep pace with my inputs.
Mildly annoying and it's not constant so no big deal for me.
Sometimes, multitasking stops working and I have to do a quick power-off.
Actually, all issues are resolved with a quick reboot as opposed to a reset with my Lumia 900 which is something I can't say about my HD7.
I agree with above. The only lag I get is the occasional facebook load time lag. Some apps take longer to load than others, it's perfectly reasonable. As for overall lag, I had one experience yesterday where everything just slowed to a standstill. It was the first time I had to restart the phone, but after that, I've seen no problems. I can imagine it was a corrupt app as I had been downloading quite a bit of them that day. Coming from android for 2 years, the experience here is much much smoother. My advice, as i learned from the past 2 years, is to retrace your steps and find out when exactly it started to lag. When you find the beginning see if you downloaded any poorly rated or laggy third party app, or if you changed a seeting on your phone. If it continues to lag for no reason, you might just have a bad device. Best of luck.
Minor
I just upgraded from a Samsung Focus. My very first reaction was that the screen was slightly less responsive than the Focus, which was buttery smooth and instantaneous. It felt slightly, but noticeably less responsive. After using it for a day, I don't notice it anymore. I am sure it is there, but my memory of the Focus is not as near. As far as true lag goes, I have not experienced any after 2 weeks use, and no reboots or freezes.

I'm glad you are enjoying it but I came from the original focus myself and had the exact opposite reaction. That it was much faster and smoother than my old focus... I still have it and my kids play the old games on it so I can compare regularly and still feel the same.
Does anybody have lag when they are pinching and zooming on heavy desktops websites? i am getting a lot of lag here where my htc titan did not get that lag.
The only issue I seem to be having is when playing any kind of music or watching videos. If I touch any of the capacitive buttons, it's as if I long press them. Not a huge deal since I usually only touch the back arrow anyway, but that's all I get.
i was wondering if anyone else had this problem. My lumia has consistently not displayed maps in nokia maps or the maps app. It will show my location on a blank black or patterned screen (depending on the app). It's not a wifi or data issue because it's happened on both. It's happened five times in 3 days. Each time i've had to shut the phone off and restart it and it works again. Is this just a problem with mine? Thanks.e

it is a problem with your device, so do you have web browser lag or is that problem only with my device.

"Add a note" phone cards not going away

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, if it's normal behavior and if there is a way to correct it.
When I get a phone call, I get the standard caller ID. When I take the call, it changes to the "add a note" card with the caller id image in the background. But when I hang up (from the phone) this card never goes away. If I'm in the office with the watch on the charger in my living room and take a call, I can go in there an hour or two later and that card is being displayed in full brightness in the charger. This is a bit fo a pain, especially if I'm sitting on the couch with the watch in the charger and take a call.
It seemed to me that when I first got the watch, this didn't happen; when I hung up the call, the display would go back to my watch face. I was hoping that once the Lollipop update came through (which seemed to take forever to come) it would go back to the original behavior but it hasn't.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is this by design? Is there anyway to either make it go away on call end or stop it from displaying at all?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
So nobody? I'm the only one in the world experiencing this?
Same here
I am also facing this issue and haven't found solution till date. At first I thought one if call recorder app is causing this , still no luck even after removing that app.

My ultimate solution was to buy the Huawei watch. I never could determine the cause which survived every fw upgrade. Between that and the miserable battery life, it was the right decision. The Huawei is better in every way for me and two months into it, I still haven't run the battery out once.

I am also experiencing this and wonder has anyone come up with a solution?

Slow speeds on opening apps (Q)

First off let me say , I love this phone. Worried so much about it but now having it for two days and using pixel for the first time ever I just can't get enough of it.
This is my Second day and I've noticed it seams slower ..
I always watched the same thing on all of my Samsung phones.
Opening apps like , settings, phone app and specially SMS app takes time. I mean I wait for it a good second for sure. It is noticeable.
Anyone else noticed this? Any fix?
Is there a way to clear ram or something?
I've got the Pixel 3 and noticed this as well. My Pixel 2 was super snappy for almost a year and only started to show signs of slowing down right before the Pixel 3 was announced. I've only had my Pixel 3 for about 3 weeks and launching the camera a bunch of times yesterday proved to be a painfully slow process when I was walking around trying to get some quick pics. I would miss shots because of the extra 2-3 seconds it would take to launch from screen off or even from the home screen.
Maybe it's because I had to install extra apps that run in the background 100% of the time to bring back all the features I lost from the Pixel 2. (LED Notification, black crush and white balance fix, etc). If this gets any worse, I will definitely be talking to google support.
interesting
the crazy part with my phone is that i dont really have that many apps installed. I set up netflix and Zedge at the day when i felt it was slowing down. Anything else was was installed before and phone worked snappy. Even all together i dont have many apps on the phone. Ditched swift keyboard, Nova, and other things, rocking stock and loving it.
Its the known RAM issue. God forbid you open snapchat while doing anything else, your phone will freeze up.

Hik-Connect Push Notifications delay

Hi all,
After days and days of searching the web and trying everything I can, I'm still having the same issues.
I came across this forum whilst browsing and had forgotten all about it. I used to be a member many, many years ago when I used to tinker with my HTC Hero (great phone at the time).
Anyway, on to my issue....
Since my swap back to Android from ios, everything has been perfect and I haven't looked back...except this one problem and its driving me insane. Basically I have a Hikvision NVR and cameras at home and use the hik-connect app to live view and get notifications. This is where the problem is! My NVR is set to send me notifications when there is a intrusion on the front of my house and although I get the notifications, they are sometimes 5,10 or 15 mins later. Its not all the time, sometime they are instant (although not very often) and if I have my phone unlocked they also come through instantly.
I've checked everything that I can think of including the battery optimisation settings etc.
Does anyone have any ideas? After here Im giving up with it.
Samsung S20+ on EE UK
BT HUB
Thanks folks
Gaz
have you ever figured this out? i also use HikConnect for intercom
sometimes when a visito pressed the doorbutton, i get a delay notifations from 2-5 min or more
doesnt happen al the time
also battery optimalization is disabled
running oneplus 6t here
