crackling earpiece

when ever i make calls and increase the incall volume ,,,the other person voices starts to crackle and break up ??? what could be the problem?
when i use the headphones its really clear and loud but the earpiece keeps crackling and breaking up ??
Hey I have the same issue on my Q AND my Dash so its gotta be a network issue. I was thinking it was the Q because it started happening when I got the phone, I got sick of it and decided to dust off the ol dash to try out the Energy ROM, and whadaya know, Same crackling sound. WTF?!?!
Edit: I still notice the same break-up sound when I have and earpiece but its not as noticeable.
yea but it happens only when i increase the volume when its on low its perfect..
Yea i was shopping for a new earphone thinking that was the problem at first.
well i get it on two different phones, your gettin it, my gf has a razr v9 but says she never heard any static, so i dunno. im guessing its some kind of network issue.
the ear speaker on the dash is the same as any old blackberry.
this happend on my dash when i turned up the volume, but i switched the speaker from an old 7100t and now its clear.

Low speaker volume (front)

Hey guys, I just got my SGSIII and I am suffering from low speaker volume when making calls. The back speaker works fine but the front speaker is very low when I put it to my ear, even when I enable extra volume. I actually traded somebody for this phone, so I'm worried that they may have messed it up somehow and not told me. It doesn't sound like it's been blown or anything, the sound is clear and crisp however it's just extremely hard to hear the person on the other end.
Have any of you experienced similar issues and is there a potential fix? I just got the phone, so I haven't had a chance to root it and load a custom rom, but is there any chance that may fix the issue?

Ear speaker rattle/static noise

Noticed this happening the other day. I can still hear fine to some degree, but it sounds like the speaker has rattling or static sound. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue? I'm running the latest project nexus build, though I don't think its related. Speaker still functions as it should, just with all the feedback noise. Any help is much appreciated, hoping there could be a different solution than replacing the speaker.
My earpiece speaker rattles and/or buzzes at higher volumes - not excessively high volumes either, but levels you might need in a noisy environment. I have to turn it down a bit to stop it. If it was any worse, I'd request a replacement. The earpiece speaker is not terribly high quality compared to most of my previous phones.

Sadly when I turn my volume down I still get the same amount of feedback, just at a lower volume.
I have only noticed it since I received the March 2016 Security Update.
Edit: I should probably say I have noticed it more since I received the March 2016 Security Update.
I have a Nexus 5X H790 bought in the US, and here in Brazil this model has not yet been arrive. With less than a month has problem in the ear speaker. The voice was distorted, noisy. I lost the warranty, but changed by a Nexus 5 (2013) speaker. Yes, they are compatible, and the replacement is very easy.

M8 top speaker not working

Just got my brand new m8 and after using it a bit I noticed the top boomsound speaker wasnt working. Tried some basic troubleshooting and using it in different apps in no avail. I can hear someone in a phone call no problem though, but if I use the speakerphone or use the phone to play music or something like that it doesn't seem to be working (or maybe be extremely quiet??).
I haven't tweaked the phone yet in any way, completely stock Android 6.0 that it shipped with.
Edit: The top speaker works but it is much, much more quiet than the bottom.
I'm really hoping this is a software issue, any way I can test that out?
Bump. Can someone running marshmallow please test this out real quick for me? Play this on max volume and see if left is considerably quieter than right - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTvJoYnpeRQ
Thanks guys! Gotta love that over a hundred people that saw this and couldn't take about 30 seconds out of their day to try this out for me
Anyways I'm probably sending the phone back. Gonna have to go back to struggling with my old HTC One S while I wait for a replacement.
Actually I'm having a very similar issue.
My phone had perfect speakers since I got it but recently it fell face down and the display went boom! No cracks anywhere though.
The service guys replaced the display but now the top speaker had a very loud crackling, at the max volume level only, when playing deep bass, still loud.
So I take it to service again and this time they made the top speaker very very quiet but the crackling was gone.
I asked them to fix it but they said it's always been like that.
After struggling for some 15 minutes they agreed to look into it. They tell me that they've replaced the top speaker module but the sound is still low.
I can even test the issue using the help app, hardware diagnostics.
Now I don't know how to get it fixed.

No Audio from speakers plus low signal issue

Hi
My wife has had this phone for 8 months now. For a few months she's been complaining about very poor signal with the phone - significantly worse than her last phone with the same network. To make matters significantly worse, about 2 weeks ago the speakers packed up entirely. No sound issues at all - whether ringtones, alarms or media - except with headphones plugged in or when on a call (and on a call the speakers still do not work, but the earpiece does).
Has anyone come across either of these issues before? I'm thinking that the next step is unlock and flash a replacement OS to see if there's some bug there or if it's a hardware issue. If it is hardware, we're probably just looking at getting a new phone - I've heard mixed things about the Wileyfox support.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful!
Not sure about speakers, but my reception is terrible too.
Me too... no audio from speakers
I've just had this exact issue start up on my WileyFox Swift 2X this morning. It was playing a YouTube video just fine and then all of a sudden the audio went out and it never came back! All I hear is a very faint tick, tick, tick, tick... noise where it should be playing sound. Such a shame because the device was working pretty alright before this issue.
(Plugging in headphones works okay btw. It's just the main speaker that's gone out.)
