Hello.
Yesterday I was trying to get Ubuntu Touch on this and due to some inconveniences, I decided to go back to android.
I was flashing the stock firmware when I got an error that said it was waiting for the device.
I turned off the phone as I had to leave and returned to it a few hours later.
The phone won't turn on at all, not even vibrating. I plugged into my battery and it is charging at 5v and 0.5A.
I tried getting it into EDL, but no luck.
I think the phone might be dead, or at least the battery, but I don't know how to check or how to save it.
Is there anything I can do?

did you reboot to EDL the soft way (comand) or hard way (open the case) ?

I finally managed to get it into EDL. Only the hard way is possible as the phone gives no sign of life(no screen flash, no vibration, nothing).
Upon attempting to flash I get either a firehose error or a Sahara error. I tried both with the original and with a no authentification programmer. This was with QFIL.
I also wanna try QDL on my arch, but I'll get to that tomorrow.
It's still kind of a hassle to get it into EDL as it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
Do you think there still is a chance with this, or should I be looking for a motherboard replacement instead?

depend on what you did before
if you mess with the standard partitions (boot/dtbo/system/vendor), that can be solved with EDL
if you mess with hidden partition then look for replacment
try with what you have first ...

i already searched a lot, but i didn't find anything useful so i post here hoping that someone can help me. i really need my phone so before send it to htc service i have to try to get it back working.
simply yesterday my phone went off because of low battery. when i got back home i try to charge it, but nothing happened. so i tried using pc in order to see if something happen, and led started to blink slow (orange led). so i turned it on, and it worked. then i was using it (connected to the wall charger) and it frozed, at 9% battery. so i tried to restart it (by pressing power and vol down), but nothing happened... it was completely dead, i tried:
-wall-charger;
-pc-usb;
-change different charger/different usb cables);
-i left it the night connected to the charger);
-no adb, and obviously i can't get the phone in recovery/bootloader/fastboot...
i was on hboot 1.3x... don't remember which number cause i updated the hboot a few days ago. i was on viper rom and i was using the tripndroid kernel based on official nvidia sources (really like their works )
hoping that someone can help me
however in the next days i will send it back to htc but i need to try something cause i really need my phone in those days and i have no replacement. will htc repair my phone for free? (remember that i unlocked it)
Crazy thing. U can't put the phone in bootloader mod?

That means your phone is broken. It needs a new motherboard.
Nobody has recovered from that. Some people have managed to get the phone working after APX, but it seems to go back to APX mode.
Sorry. Back to HTC it goes...
ok thanks... it is and hardware fault or it's because of the custom rom/kernel?

First tell us what the issue is?
Is it a soft brick? Just flash your TOT file by the LG flash tool and your good to go. But first you should give us some more information

If you can't access the download mode you've hard bricked your phone some way. You should send it back and let it repair by someone
If you're out of warranty and feel up to taking your phone apart you could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
If you still have warranty, send it in.
Went to flash the new Marshmallow Stock rom and flashed what I thought was it. Until I go to reboot and my phone won't turn on. Flashed the rom from Here, not noticing that it's for the International variant of the g3. Is there a way to fix this without having to take it back to tmobile?

Nope. Phone won't turn on and PC doesn't really recognize it like it usually did. Phone won't turn on or anything, so I can't get into twrp or download mode. Found This thread to try and get it responsive. I can't seem to short the pins correctly
Managed to finally short the wires, but the phone wouldn't go very far. It kept throwing up errors about "waiting for the device to connect in flash prg". I gave up and decided to just wait for the phone they said I'd get today due to overnight shipping; it never got shipped that day when I made the call at 1pm, so now i have to wait an extra day.
So my phone is stuck on this issue. I haven't done anything wrong. My phone was just peacefully charging then the phone switches off by itself then the bootloop happened.
This showed on the screen:
dm-verity corruption
your device is corrupt.
it can't be trusted and my not work properly.
press enter button to continue.
Or, device will power off in 5s.
(written in white)
Although it does turn off by itself if I ignore it, after I turn it on again and press enter or power button it boot until lockscreen and if I try to do something like unlocking, scrolling down notifs bar, and sliding through different page on home screen it will turn off again. It seem like it's crashing. The thing is I am not trying to root or flash something. I haven't done anything on my phone. I only have one phone and I badly need your help. I hope wiping or reformatting the phone is my last resort. My phone is updated to Android 11 and lateset MIUI (provided by the system itself and not downloaded somewhere). Thank you.
Well seems like something is corrupt.
It reboots when you touches the screen(or do anything)?

It's more like it turns itself off again and if I try to press again power button if the problem show again, same thing happen. Sometimes MIUI logo appears and shuts down again it can't even go to lock screen.
Is there any chance you can unlock it?
It seems like your internal storage is corrupted.

At some point I did manage to unlock it but it happened only once and when I tried to open the notifs by scrolling down or tried to different part of homescreen it just shuts down. After that, it can't even go to the lockscreen after reboot. It's a never ending cycle. I can go to fastboot mode but I don't know if I can do miracle with that.
Well immediately plug into a computer and pull photos amd videos from it if you get it unlocked.

Do you think service center can help me with this or they'll probably just say to replace the phone if a bad chip is the case?
Maybe they will replace the motherboard with some fee. Or they will try to convince you to buy a new fancy phone just purely because xiaomi could earn more.
Thats all about luck (and problem is on xiaomi side, not your fault)
what's the smartphone model?

He probably doesn't have his bootloader unlocked.
Fastboot OEM unlock wont work as oem unlock is probably not enabled in settings dev options.

Do you guys think I need to go to the service center because I don't know what to do. I really don't want to brick my phone. But a while ago my phone booted. I set it up just like buying a new phone but after I finished setting up, I just wait for the phone to catch up because I was afraid the phone will just shut down suddenly. And then, it happened again the phone shut downs without me doing anything. Now I tried to boot it up again but it is currently stuck at Redmi logo (plus "powered by android" at the bottom").

SPFT enables when phone is a brick, so there's no need in service center.
they will flash it like we are going to do
Help, does anyone know how to fix dm-verity corruption? I was using my tab normally, then it suddenly shuts down and this error keeps popping up whenever my device boots. It goes on a loop unless I press the power button again.

i need some help since im not good with technical stuff but my phone got into a boot looping situation after my keychain with a magnetic tag dropped on the phone.
Welcome to XDA.
Factory reset.
If that fails, open and inspect for displaced connectors.
If it still fails to boot, reflash to last known working rom.
If all that fails there's hardware damage from the impact... high G loading can damage the mobo, solder joints as well as cause internal damage to chipsets.

Very strange... maybe the boot loop is unrelated to the impact.
The only thing that was attached with the key chain was a magnet used for location like a smart tag when that hit the phone stopped working and tried to turn it on them went on s bootloop sequence and doesn't go after the splash logo

Try a factory reset and go from there.
If that failed inspect the hardware before trying to flash it... make sure the battery is good.
As best as I know a normal magnet can't do this. I don't let my phone near MRI and CAT scan (ionizing radiation) units though.
I'll try factory reset through recovery mode first... I think.
If factory reset doesn't work, try to do an ADB sideload on the recovery.
hi again.
tried the factory reset didnt work out but how to do the ADB sideload ?

Boot your phone to recovery. While on the language selection screen, type this on cmd:
adb sideload <rom>.zip
Make sure you have fastboot and ADB drivers installed on your PC.
