Samsung Galaxy S20Ultra cracked: DC dimming arrangement_China IT News
https://www.firstxw.com/view/255876.html,On April 18, the blogger @ magician Dan Xiaoding let Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra realize DC dimming. It is reported that DC dimming changes the brightness of the screen by increasing or decreasing the power of the circuit. Power = voltage x current, so...

However I'm unable to find any information hot to make this happen. Do I need custom roms, where can I find them?
What about samsung s21 ?
It most likely enabled on the stock rom if in fact it has it.
a result, on the 20th series, is it possible to enable DC dimming using root access or not?

The screen of my Note 3 Neo Duos (SM-N7502) which I bought last June 2014 is now dimming at random. My Neo is still on stock Rom and never rooted. Automatic Brightness is turned off and the Brightness is maxed out. The phone is relatively cool when it the screen starts to dim.
Anyone have similar experience with their Note 3 Neo Duos? The dimming doesn't happen very often but it gets to be irritating.
never heared of it
The dimming happens randomly?
Not in a particular time oftenly?
I.e. while charging?

It happens randomly wether being charged or not
PWM is a cheap way for manufacturers to implement lower brightness, by repeatedly turning the backlight on and off.
Unfortunately, for a lot of people, this causes eye strain and headaches.
Most (all?) AMOLED displays use PWM, including the Tab S.
There already is a PWM free kernel for S7 Edge here and it looks like it could be possible to do it on the Tab S too.
Is there a developer willing & able to do it for the Tab S?
Thanks.
I'am sensitive to PWM, but TAB S 10.5 does not cause eye problems for me. I can read for 12 hours on this tablet without any vision problems.
Hi guys
I ve just bought this phone and under 20 percent of brightness i find eye strain. I just found on a very good website for reviews, they claim thats the phone use 1100 hz of PWM flickering when u dim the brightness at 23%. So im askinyg, any way to remove that? Anyone interested on developing a zip or a kernel for have a fully flicker free Mix 2s and enjoy your eyes? Thanks
This is something so special that I highly doubt any Devs will put in the work. Maybe if you pay a dev but otherwise it's highly unlikely.
Your only chance is to buy different phone without PWM.
I have root access on my galaxy fold 3 but I could not find the option to enable DC dimming, is there such a possibility at all?
No such thing on that device. I never notice anything annoying at low light levels on my N10+'s. Guess some might but I don't.
hello guys
was about to buy this phone when i remembered that i forgot to check if it has anti flicker mode in settings. I suffer from severe eye strain using phones with PWM dimming like nearly all 99% now seem to use.
it doesn't have dc dimming from what i can tell on specifications page.
but does it have the antiflicker option under settings, display like some other xiaomi phones do?
