going back to stock rom - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

I have a OnePlus 7t that is currently stock Oxygen firmware. I would like to flash the Pixel Experience rom. If I decide after flashing PE to go back to the stock firmware, is this a case of simply flashing the original firmware and locking the boot loader to get back to the original configuration?
I understand I will wipe all phone data, that is not a concern.
My concern is loosing GPay and banking apps.
Is it possible to go back as if I had never unlocked the boot loader?
Thanks

[Q] Bravia Engine

Dear members of XDA!
A few quick questions here:
If my bootloader remains locked from stock:
1. and I downgrade to a previous stock android version rather than 4.4, will I lose BE?
2. if I do lose it, and then flash the last stock version, will I recover it?
If my bootloader was unlocked, I know that I should lose BE, BUT:
3. if I install a custom rom, don't like it, go back to the latest stock, and after everything's finished, relock the bootloader, will I recover the BE?
Thanks in advance!
1.nope
2.you will lose only if you unlock BL.
3.if u have TA backup, you can relock BL and recover BE by flashing stock ROM and restore TA.

Lock bootloader and restore recovery

Hey all,
Is it possible to relock bootloader and restore stock recovery? I have stock room with root and twrp but want to revert back to full stock. Anyone know if that is possible currently?
I'm pretty sure the only stock firmware that has been released for this device is the Chinese variant. If you're on the L24 variant like I am there is no way to get back to stock of you rooted and installed twrp unless you made your own backups.
I made my own backup from stock but would like to make sure I get any OTAs. I assume I need to get back to a locked bootloader?
Nope. I have an unlocked bootloader and I just got an OTA yesterday. Installed with no problem. The twrp is a definite reason why one wouldn't be able to install ota and I'm not 100% sure but I think that being rooted is another although I've read conflicting stories about the root part.

how to remove root, lock bootloader and flash stock rom

Phone is rooted woth twrp, unlocked bootloader and a custom pixel rom. I need to unroot the phone and lock bootloader if possible.
Anyone?
I think if you flash the stock OS from OnePlus' website and reboot it will install their stock recovery as part of the process and turn you back to stock so you can re-lock the bootloader safely. Flash stock rom, downgrade and root

Hi, first time posting here. If doing it wrong sorry.
Rooted my s9+, flashed soldier rom. All ok.
Want to go back and use stock UK H3G rom [downloaded from sammobile] (to use substratum themes).
Backuped EFS
If i flash stock rom (from 9.0 to 8.0) using odin will I be able to root without waiting for bootloader to unlock and downgrading wont be a issue?
Hope you can help me with that.
Thanks!

Mate Se Back to Factory stock?

I'm rooted with frp unlocked and so on with oreo. I need to go all the way back to out of the box stock setup to download the latest updates. I'm on oreo and have a ton of reading but I need to be guided into a set of instructions to get this restore done.
Please help.
Thx!
Via magisk uninstaller, uninstall and your boot will be fine
Also, you can flash stock boot and recovery to be on full stock
Will this allow me to relock and do ota updates? Basically I need to be able to use the factory recovery partition incase of failure. Currently due to the unlocked phone the use of the recovery bricks the phone. And where can I get these stock recovery partitions at?
Doesn't matter if your BL is locked or unlocked. As long as you have stock recovery and stock boot, you will be able to install OTA
Can you e plain a bit more detail? Thx! How the process should go
What are the commands for stock boot and recovery images through the recovery screen. The white screen that shows bootloader and frp status.... And possible link to those specific files would be great.
Erecovery? How to reflash?
