Hi ! I just unlocked bootloader of my phone (Micromax Canvas A1 with Android One) yesterday, flashed a Custom CWM Recovery and Rooted it. But now, I want to get back my warranty by unrooting it. I think the following steps will work in getting back my warranty:
1) Unroot Android
2) Flash stock recovery
3) Relock bootloader
I can unroot and relock the bootloader on myself. But I don't have stock recovery image for my phone. Can anyone here provide me the Stock Recovery image file for this phone?
Moreover, I have one more Canvas A1 handset which is completely in factory mood (and so under warranty unlike my rooted Android one phone ). Is there any way to create a flashable rocovery image file from this phone?
Anyways, I will be very happy and thankful if only anyone could provide me the Stock Recovery Image file for this phone .
Thanks in advance !
Here's the stock recovery link which I had uploaded: http://www.mediafire.com/?cr10jbo9f6gnh32 (rename it to recovery.img)
You'll need to flash it from ADB mode (you need unlocked boot loader in this case) or just flash using SP Tools (v.5.1424) (if you need scatterer file, ask me)
Actually, flashing stock recovery and locking boot loader does not give warranty back.
However you'll need stock recovery to flash lollipop update when arrived.
To get warranty back, you need to download complete stock ROM and flash it using SP Tools in firmware upgrade mode to reset the flash counter.
my m9 has received an android 6 update massage. but after installing, the phone restarts in custom recovery.
please help me how to upgrade my rooted m9 to an official marshmallow. i do not want to upgrade to a custom ROM

In order to upgrade to official MM....you need a stock recovery image...and a stock system image...
Search for...and flash your stock recovery....if that is the only thing you have changed....g

i had some search. if i upgrade to stock android, then i will have to root my phone again and for that i have to flash a custom recover again. i searched and find out that android revolution custom ROM is a good choice for ones how wants to keep HTC Sense.
thank you for your support.
Check here for possible stock system images and recoveries...
You should be able to flash a stock system backup from this thread...to include recovery....then take your OTA....and flash TWRP afterwards....
Just make sure everything matches your carrier....cid/mid....so the outcome is favorable...g

You'll quickly find, if you haven't already, that the latest Android Revolution HD (v20) requires you to have the latest firmware. Flashing it without it will throw your phone into a boot loop.

If he has removed his carrier's bloatware as well as the custom recovery, would he have to flash the system image also?
Or just flash the recovery?
I am asking as many AT&T users often root to remove AT&T bloatware, like I did. I used HTCDev.com to root, and my bootloader is unlocked.

Flashing a stock RUU will guarantee that the system and recovery are completely stock...
The OTA scans the device prior to update and will detect any software that isn't signed or official...
I'd RUU back to stock...then OTA will prompt....and won't get stuck trying to update the system partition...g
So I found my old M83 the other day. It's running:
S-ON, UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER (NOW RELOCKED) ON TMOBILE.
I decided to try and flash the latest firmware via the sd card method, didn't work. Then tried flashing the firmware via fastboot. Fastboot didn't work either.
Now the phone only boots to the bootloader/hboot screen.
Any attempt at trying to flash firmware, or a recover, customer or otherwise fails.
I'm really hoping I can find a tmobile ruu zip to bring it back to life, however I can't seem to find a tmobile ruu zip anywhere anymore. I don't have a PC so downloading the *exe files doesn't do me much good.
Is there anyone that can please offer some assistance?
Much appreciated in advance!
What I did was to use TWRP and restore my original copy of the ROM (hopefully you still have that), if not you will need to find a TWRP backup of the ROM for the version of firmware you have and then restore the recovery for that same version (it get rid of TWRP). Then let the OTA fix update your phone. This is the route I took. Since Android 6 (MM) is the last release once you get to that stock, you can then replace the recovery (you could backup the recovery also) with TWRP, take a backup and then root or flash a new ROM.
Good luck
Phone is rooted woth twrp, unlocked bootloader and a custom pixel rom. I need to unroot the phone and lock bootloader if possible.
Anyone?
I think if you flash the stock OS from OnePlus' website and reboot it will install their stock recovery as part of the process and turn you back to stock so you can re-lock the bootloader safely. Someone wrote a guide to follow with more details: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/guide-restore-to-complete-stock-relock-t3712739
Hey guys.
I'm currently with stock Oreo firmware - v365. Bootloader unlocked, TWRP installed and rooted. I get a notification of an update (373) daily, which I can't install I reckon because I'm with a custom recovery. Each morning I find the phone restarted in recovery and I have to reboot it manually.
So, how can I go back to full stock + stock recovery which will allow the proper function of the OTA? This will be my wife phone, so I don't care about rooting and relocking my bootloader.
I'll appreciate any help and advice.
