You can buy an unlock code straight from your provider (T-Mobile), via eBay, or a trustworthy website online that specifically provides unlocking codes for various models of phones... you will have to pay for an unlock code.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a Pixel and I'm wondering if it's possible to unlock the bootloader and root an international model. I want to be able to do these things so just looking to verify that they're possible before I buy an international model. Anyone done it? Haven't had any luck when searching. Thanks for any help.

Google store is BL unlockable, Verizon is not since they're annoying like that
Thanks, I'm definitely staying away from the Verizon ones for that reason but what I'm asking about is the international model. It's a different model number and has different bands but I'm wondering if it's still BL unlockable like the Google Play version.

Tbh I think the international and Google edition are the same. Been searching for a while, can't find anything to indicate they aren't.
It seems in the USA, to differentiate between carrier locked and unlocked phones sold directly by Google, as well as marketing and branding purposes, Google simply calls the unlocked edition in the USA Google edition instead. The international edition already ships unlocked.
They're the same otherwise for all intents and purposes.
Hi, on my s9 the OEM unlock isn't showing. Even though it has been more than 7 days since I enable the developer options. Is it the verion of the phone or something else?

Hello DR2D2,
Currently the Samsung Galaxy s9 Snapdragon U.S. models are oem locked and unable to be rooted. This has been done for all U.S. Snapdragon variants. If you would like to root your device, I would suggest buy a provider unlocked exynos version which you can find info about in other discussions on these forums.

Sim unlock is different than bootloader unlock which the latter can be done if hd1907 is cross-flashed to hd1905. In other words, nope

YOu have to contact the carrier to have it unlocked. Even then you will not get 5g in China and will be very limited the bands that are used.
