Watch 3 pro - no caller name - Huawei Watch

Hello,
I have this watch connected with the Samsung S21 FE phone, watch is updated to the latest version (2.1.0.237) and the latest version of the Health app is used (12.1.6.320). I didn't instal HMS Core or App Gallery. The latest version of Health is downloaded directly from App Galery web site.
When I receive a call on the watch, caller name is not displayed only number with the country code prefix (+381 in my case).
In case caller number is saved to phone with the prefix, watch will show correct name because it uses Contacts app from watch itself to look for the name and image of the caller by using caller number that always get to the phone with a prefix.
Problem is that nearly all of my contacts are saved without prefix and that on my old GT1 that I had, everything worked correctly and I didn't need to change anything.
I don't know what is a problem, Health app version (I also tried Petal Health - the same), watch firmware or incompatibility with Samsung phone. Health app has all requested access rights granted, tried to reinstal Health app, reset a watch, nothing helps besides to change 250+ contacts and add a prefix to each of them.

Small update: in ultra-long battery mode (Lite OS variant) everything works fine, i don't need to change caller number on phone. In Lite OS mode Health app is responsable to get contact name and send that name to the watch - the same as in case of GT1 watch that also has LiteOS.
It seems that in regular mode (Harmony OS), Contact app on the watch is not a smart enough to find contact info if number arrives with country prefix and number is saved without it. That is a exacly what Samsung Contact app does because phone also show correct caller name.

i get the number not the name on receiving a call

i am a new user of i matepda2k some times i get the number not the name is there any solution for this problem
it means their number is not blocked and you do not have a name associated to that number in your contacts. Cell networks unlike landline CID's do not send the account name just the number.
thank u ver much for your rapid response but,
this problem is temporary ,some times occur and some times not, although i am saving those number in my contact list under specific contact name.
thank u again
It happens on my PDA2k also. Sometimes it displays the number of the incoming call and if I wait a few rings (sort of giving it time to look up the name) it then shows the name from the address book.
I had this problem when I was running M$ Voice Command.
OK after I uninstalled
Try to disable the Caller ID by moving the shortcut from the \Windows\Startup to other folder and reset.
I'm using Caller ID v1.20 and the name of the file I moved is IA_CID_StartUp.lnk. If you are using other version, the name of the shortcut may not be the same.
Hope this will work for you as it work well with my Xda IIs.
i don't have this voice command
i found 2 files which one should i disable
ia_caller_id.ink
ia_cid_startup.ink
or should i remove both?
thank u for ur help
Remove ia_caller_id.ink
You've installed both versions of caller id (1.17 and 1.20), that doesn't work...
i am still having the same problem
I'm having the exact same problem, and I had hoped there would be a solution for it here... Still none?

[Q] CallerID Not matching contacts

Looks like the NG Contacts / CallerID matching code is broken.
I can't get the CallerID numbers to match my contacts.
This is Argentina, all my contacts are stored like +54AAANNNNNNNN, it used to work on all my previous Android phones so i don't know what's going on
I tried modifying ro.phone.min_match on /system/build.prop without any effect.
Any clues ?
Update:
If i store the numbers as +54 AAA NNNN-NNNN, Then i get the Contact names, but all SMSs will automatically stop matching the Contacts.
If i store the numbers as +54 9 AAA NNNN-NNNN. (That's the format the carriers here send the From phone number on SMSs), then SMSs will match but not calls.
I tried using Prefixer but it doesn't seem to work at all.
This has not been a problem on my previous Android phone, a Samsung i550 running GingerBread and previously Froyo.
Sounds like we need a setting to tell Android ICS to match just X digits out of the CallerID string just like Windows Mobile has.
Adding both numbers to each contact is not practical when you have 500+ contacts.
I'm running Stock ITL41F.
I've opened a Google Bug Report on http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=22813

[Q] KitKat B506 - No caller id on incoming calls

Hi everyone,
I just bought a P6 and directly upgraded to B506 (so, for the comments that follow, I have no prior status to compare against).
What I noticed is that for all incoming calls, only the phone number is shown and not the caller id. For example, I created a contact 'John Doe' for my home phone number and placed a call. Phone number shows up, 'John Doe' does not. Same behavior when I replaced my home phone number (fixed line number) with my wife's mobile phone number.
Furthermore, when I checked the Dialer for the 'missed' call, same story: it shows the number, not the caller id.
At first, I thought that this behavior is attributed to my mobile Telco provider. Then, I downloaded and used a dialer from Play Store (Swipe Dialer Pro). Swipe Dialer's list of recent calls does show the caller id !
So, has anyone else experienced that ? Any clues on what might be causing this behavior on the stock dialer and how it can be resolved ?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Kostas

[Q]Moto 360 at incoming calls only show 6 digits short number instead of contact name

I'm a China Mobile user with some trouble of getting my Moto 360 incoming calls displaying China Mobile's VPMN contact names correctly.
Background:
Moto 360 with original OS. Mobile phone is Oneplus One OxygenOS.
Mobile contact uses Google's Contacts. Mobile has activate Google Now, setting up VPS for bypassing the great firewall, with languages set to English.
All my colleagues uses China Mobile's VPMN short number, so incoming call has always been in 6 digits short number.
Problem:
When I get 6 digits short number call in. On the phone it shows up contact names correctly, but the watch always just show the 6 digits number. When I get call in from regular number (11 digits), both the phone and watch display contact name correctly.
I've tried reinstall the CM system, uninstall security software, upgrade my watch to be the latest version, switching language to Chinese. None fixes the problem.
It's kinda sad to see a good watch with problem like this because I basically lose the ability to see who is calling in.
Help is much appreciated.

Honor Magic Watch 2 42mm Problems

Hi everyone. I just bought Honor Magic Watch 2 42mm version and I am hoping to get some help with a some issues that I faced so far.
- Contacts and Call Log options are not showing in watch menu nor the Add Contacts option in Huawei Health app. This link says that the watch supports that.
https://consumer.huawei.com/sa-en/support/how-to/newbie-guide/en-us00754825/
- Missed Call notification doesn't show the contact name although contact name appears normally when receiving a call.
- When receiving a phone call, there is no option to answer the call although this link says that the option should be there.
https://consumer.huawei.com/sa-en/support/how-to/newbie-guide/en-us00754825/
Does anyone else have the same issues?
- Edit to add firmware and apps versions:
Watch Firmware: 1.0.3.18
Huawei Health: 10.0.2.333
Huawei Mobile Services: 4.0.1.301
It is available only for the 46 mm edition
