Hi everyone,
I just bought a P6 and directly upgraded to B506 (so, for the comments that follow, I have no prior status to compare against).
What I noticed is that for all incoming calls, only the phone number is shown and not the caller id. For example, I created a contact 'John Doe' for my home phone number and placed a call. Phone number shows up, 'John Doe' does not. Same behavior when I replaced my home phone number (fixed line number) with my wife's mobile phone number.
Furthermore, when I checked the Dialer for the 'missed' call, same story: it shows the number, not the caller id.
At first, I thought that this behavior is attributed to my mobile Telco provider. Then, I downloaded and used a dialer from Play Store (Swipe Dialer Pro). Swipe Dialer's list of recent calls does show the caller id !
So, has anyone else experienced that ? Any clues on what might be causing this behavior on the stock dialer and how it can be resolved ?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Kostas

I've noticed many indivduals (on other forums) seem to experience the same problem with their HTC EVO, but after an extensive search across a variety of Android Forums, I have yet to locate a fix. Hopefully, someone here can point me in the correct direction.
While on a call, an incoming call (call waiting) only displays the caller ID number - instead of the name and contact picture stored in my phone. This did not happen until after the 2.2 update.
To test this, you can dial Sprint Customer Service (or any other wait on hold forever 800 number) from your mobile device, and either dial from a land line, or have someone (stored in your contacts list) call into your mobile device.
Not everyone seems to have this bug / feature, but for those that do experience this 'feature' we'd sure like to fix this.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by me (and a host of others).

P.S. NOT Rooted HTC EVO, caller ID fails on Call waiting with all contacts (whether or not the contact has a google contact or not)
Hello all, this is my first post.
I'm having an issue when an unknown caller calls my cell phone. When they call, for example, it will say Incoming Call &êï¥à. Respectedly, once I miss the call, it will say (In the top bar notification area) Missed Call from &êï¥à. I can open up missed call logs and the number shows up there, but what's with these characters? It's really annoying as I would like to just look at the phone as they're calling to see who it is. If I save the number in my contact list, it will show up correct with the name I assign. I have caller ID with my Rogers plan so that can't be it. I am using the Samsung Galaxy S III (Rogers) with CM 10.1 nightly, before I was on the 10.0 stable.
How can I fix this issue?
tl;dr: when someone calls it says Incoming Call &êï¥à (or some other symbols) and also say missed call from &êï¥à in the notifcation window yet shows the number when i open call logs, which is annoying.

Hello, I use HTC One M8 and Samsung BHS3000.
When the operating system was Android KitKat, I could use the talk button on the Samsung BHS3000 to make the latest number (whether if it was incoming, outgoing or missed call) call. Just the latest number at the top of the call history list. (I loved this function!) (I think it is called as Call Back or Call Return function.)
I have upgraded the operating system Android KitKat to the Lollipop yesterday. After that I cannot use it as the same way.
When I pressed the talk button on the BHS3000, it dials the latest number which I called last. If there is any other numbers at the top of the list, for example incoming or missed calls, it dials the latest number that outgoing call.
I hope I could explain the problem. Is it related to the Lollipop?
Is there any other settings that I can choose the talk button behavior when it pressed?
For example: To dial the last outgoing number or To dial the last number (whether if it is outgoing, incoming or missed call number)
Thanks in advance..
I recently purchased a Z1 Compact and have discovered that when using Google Voice to dial all calls, the wrong number is stored in the call log. This makes it hard to track who I'm calling. From what I've read, this is the number that Voice calls before connecting you to your contact. The way it's worked previously on other phones is that the contact number is stored in the call log and the go-between number is called in the background. This is the proper way and what I'd like to get back to. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm on 4.4.4. If anyone has Lollipop, has this issue been fixed? The one workaround I've seen is that you should store these numbers in the contact information (as each number is specific to a contact) so that you'll see your contact in the call log, but I'd rather just fix the issue. Ultimately, I believe the issue stems from Sony modifying the stock dialer such that the Voice app doesn't hook in properly to show the contact phone number in the call log. I've seen that some Samsung phone users have the same issue. Please let me know if you have any advice.
Whatever the issue was, it has been fixed in Lollipop.
I'm a China Mobile user with some trouble of getting my Moto 360 incoming calls displaying China Mobile's VPMN contact names correctly.
Background:
Moto 360 with original OS. Mobile phone is Oneplus One OxygenOS.
Mobile contact uses Google's Contacts. Mobile has activate Google Now, setting up VPS for bypassing the great firewall, with languages set to English.
All my colleagues uses China Mobile's VPMN short number, so incoming call has always been in 6 digits short number.
Problem:
When I get 6 digits short number call in. On the phone it shows up contact names correctly, but the watch always just show the 6 digits number. When I get call in from regular number (11 digits), both the phone and watch display contact name correctly.
I've tried reinstall the CM system, uninstall security software, upgrade my watch to be the latest version, switching language to Chinese. None fixes the problem.
It's kinda sad to see a good watch with problem like this because I basically lose the ability to see who is calling in.
Help is much appreciated.
