I have Oppo reno6 5G device, I have a bug on my phone that is when phone is idle for some time( say 15-20 min) then internet connection (WiFi) gets stopped(say paused).
For example if phone is locked and idle for 15-20 min then no incoming notification will come for emails, social media apps etc and once I hold the phone and wake up the screen or unlocked the phone then all the pending notification will come in burst.
I have reset my phone several times but this weird problem has not been resolved.
Please help to fix this bug.

i've this strange problem:
sometimes (about 50%) i receive delayed notifications on my phone. they are delayed from 5 to 15 minutes maximun. this notifications problem is only for facebook and whazzup, not for mails. if the screen is off and the note is in deep sleep since about 40 minutes/1 hour or more i got this problem.
i red a lot of articles about deep sleep, fast dormancy, tryed a lot of different configurations, tryed different carriers, mod roms, tested with BBS, etc etc but actually i cannot solve it. it's not a connection problem 'cause i receive the mails push. i also called the samsung customers service and they told me it's a timer inside the phone that after "some time" turn on this strange dormancy state to prevent battery drain. i don't think so because the problem happens only sometimes and not for mails so the connection is on. i had an SIII before the note and i had no problems. is it due to JB? on the S3 i had ICS, or it's really due to this "timer? or is my phablet defected?
tnx
Hello,
I've had this problem for months now, and figured it was bug or something, but recently I did a clean install of lollipop 5.0 (now 5.1.1) and the problem is still there.
Sometimes, when the screen is off, I have no connection. I can see this by looking at Whatsapp web, which uses your phone's connection. It says my phone has no connection. When I press the powerbutton, the message disappears and I start to receive messages.
It doesn't loose connection all the time - I will get the messages eventually with the screen off - 10, 20, 30 minutes.
Here's the thing:
- Stamina mode: OFF (stamina clock and extended usage also off) - well at least it's set to 60% and currently 75% battery.
- Queue background data: OFF
- Wifi NO sleep mode.
- Also happens with 3G
Back in the day, I even tried clearing data on the stamina mode service? I can't remember the details.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
is it only happening with whatsapp? have you checked other websites? try fully turning off stamina mode and do a restart then try connecting.

I just tested with pushbullet and message didn't come in.
I have another problem with WiFi, but I'm not sure it's related. I sometimes don't get messages on Wifi either, even with screen ON.
Pushbullet message didn't come in with screen unlocked. Weird thing is, now with lollipop it shows a (!) when the wifi doesn't give you any connection, but it doesn't show that in this case.
The moment I disable wifi, messages come in.
Like I said I'm not sure if it's related..
Wish there was other way. But i think you need to start with a factory reset. See if that solves the issue. If not, then try a reinstall. Good luck.
Hello, I have a problem with my G3. My battery life in general is quite normal, but once I am under 50% of battery, the phone tends to restart itself or turn off completely randomly. Not quite randomly, it always happens when something battery-consumptive happens. For example, when I am recieving a call, taking photos, or using apps like Google Snapseed, etc.
If I am under 50% or so, it happens sometimes. The phone starts ringing and sometimes I don't pick up the phone in time and it just restarts (automatically shows LG logo, etc.). Even more frustrating is that the missed call is not in the call history, so if I do not have a clear view of the phone screen I do not know at all who was calling.
If I am under 30% the phone is technically unusable. I can browse web, facebook or text via messenger without any problem, but I can't recieve a single call. The phone starts ringing, and in two seconds it restarts. The same happens with camera, once I am under 30, the phone restarts always, when I take a photo.
Sometimes the phone turns off completely, and the only way to turn it back on is to 1) take out the battery or 2) plug in to a charger.
I was assuming this was a battery fault, so I bought a brand new one (original LG G3 battery), but the problem persist.
Do you have any tips on how to fix this? Thank you very much
Hello guys, yesterday I noticed an huge battery drain on my RN8.
The phone is new (received it on 18 December). I state that when I use it I always have 4G on (because right now I'm without wifi connection at home, damn my ISP) but of course sometimes when I don't use the phone I turn it off. I stay with GPS off, Google Assistant off, and still I notice a battery loss of around 3% every 45 mins, even when the phone is in standby, every 10-15 mins when in use (too much!)
And, as I use WhatsApp, I recently noticed that it is lirerally eating my battery, you'll see on screenshots.
For the charge, I always try to keep the phone from 30/40% to 80%.
What can I do? Are there some settings to improve? Maybe a way to manage apps working in background? I don't always want to stay on Energy Saving mode, or is it the only way?
oh that is a huge amount of battery drain, the Facebook app used to do that some years ago, and the advised solution in whatsapp make a backup of you data first, then go in to; settings, apps, and clear cache and data for the app. could also try reinstalling the app.
as you dont have a internet connection at home but you still have wifi, you phone/whatsapp might be trying to make backup but it can't cause of no internet. try change the settings in whatsapp to back over cellular aswell.

Hello buddy and thanks for the reply.
I haven't noticed any backup settings on: however I followed your tip and tried to reinstall WhatsApp, seems that now consumes are normal. I also tried to go on Settings -> Battery and performance -> Power save app -> selected WhatsApp and selected "limit activity in background" so maybe this is also doing its work. I know that I won't receive notifications if phone stays idle for a bit but its no problem as the first thing I do is to check WhatsApp when I get phone in hands.
Now on stats, screen is again at 1st position (as it should be I guess) with 35,66% power draining;
2nd is WhatsApp. (13,57%)
However there is still a bit of battery drain caused from something else. When I go to sleep I always turn phone off. This night it was at 43% of charge. When I turned it on it was still at 43%, but went down to 39% in less than 5 minutes even if not in use (used for, maybe 30 secs? Just checked WhatsApp).
I don't know what's going on.
idk why but this started happening on 11.0.3, before this it wasnt draining as much, but ya I noticed this very recently, it went up to 40% batt drain for me too, I reinstalled it and used the battery saving thing on it and my battery drain's fine now, I don't see WhatsApp in my battery usage menu, but sometimes I miss push notifications so that kinda sucks :/
hope WhatsApp and/or xiaomi fixes it, or if LOS or pixel experience gets stable enough I'll flash it, hope the battery drain's fine on those roms
I am also having huge battery drain in standby , around 2 -3 % per 1 hour.
Tried unistalling all social apps but the drain persists, also phone is not going to deep sleep. Now im trying PE rom and standby drain is down to around 1.6% per hour which is too much for this chipset (k20 pro in standby with same apps is around 0.5% per hour)
I recently bought a Mate 20 (not Pro, Lite, or X), mainly because of the dual GPS feature. But now I have noticed, and reproduced, that when tracking my activity, the phone will the GPS signal when I don't move for several minutes (in the first instance it was about 5 minutes, the second time 26 minutes before the signal was lost).
The GPS signal will not come back after this, even when moving again, except for very short timespans (5-10 seconds, twice over several hours).
This behavior does not occur if not moving at all: You have to move, then stop moving for several minutes, and then GPS signal is lost.
The GPS signal was not blocked by anything, I was on the outside. I also did disable all power-saving features, but the problem does not seem to be connected to any particular tracking app: I was running 4 apps simultaneously, and neither was able to record a position after not moving).
So it seems like the firmware turns off GPS reception once it determines that the phone isn't moving anymore - without any notification, and while GPS is still turned on in the settings (and it stays on in the settings even though the firmware blocks actual GPS reception.
Is there any way to stop this behavior, so that GPS will always try to receive a signal even if I don't move for hours?
