Notification bar. Anyway to remove the number notification?

I like recieving notifications in the notification bar but now that I am on froyo numbers pop up there and the number actually blocks the icon. So I cant even make out what is behind the number.
So is there anyway to remove the numbers but not the notification?

Notification light is flashing, despite having no notifications

My notification light seems to be staying on even after I've read my notifications. Could it be that dismissing them by sliding to the sides doesn't acknowledge them as read?

Yeah swiping them away just delete it from your notification bar. The email/SMS/missed call still count as unread.

Well that's a simple fix then. It'd be nice to have a ROM where you have the option to set swiping away as dismissing the notification.

Block Peek notification

Hi,
quick question:
If I select "block from Peek" (hope it is called like that in english) from the Blacklist menu in the an app's options, what does happen?
A) Screen does not wake when the app gets a notification
B) Screen does not wake when the app gets a notification AND the notification symbol of that app is never shown on the Peek screen
It seems to me, that A) is correct. If is the case, wouldn't it make more sense to do B)? I mean you don't want peek for those notifications, so they should not even show, right? Additionally, if you habe permanent notification that does not have a symbol in the notification bar, they still get their icon on the peek screen, which is rather ugly.

Hello I'm using custom rom based on CM
Often times when i call to other or recieve call from others , notification drawer gets automatically opened ... if i'll activate other bars like app side bar or app circle bar ...they also gets opened automatically due to unneccessery touches during calling process .
So is there is any way to prevent these thing ??

Unred notification count not showing properly

Hi!
The notification badges (numbers) are only visible if there is a new notification that you have not interacted. And they just disappear when you dismiss a notification from the lock screen or the bar. In many other OS you can see all unread notifications until you actually read/open the content. (I want to see 987 unread e-mails, 45 messages etc on apps.)
Is there any way to make them permanent so you do not miss any notifications?
