Block Peek notification - Paranoid Android Q&A

Hi,
quick question:
If I select "block from Peek" (hope it is called like that in english) from the Blacklist menu in the an app's options, what does happen?
A) Screen does not wake when the app gets a notification
B) Screen does not wake when the app gets a notification AND the notification symbol of that app is never shown on the Peek screen
It seems to me, that A) is correct. If is the case, wouldn't it make more sense to do B)? I mean you don't want peek for those notifications, so they should not even show, right? Additionally, if you habe permanent notification that does not have a symbol in the notification bar, they still get their icon on the peek screen, which is rather ugly.
Cheers!

[Q] EMUI 3.0 notification bar

Hi. On B512 if i pull left side of notification bar i get my notifications and on right side settings. Can i get this on B707?
If you have a notification it will bring down your notification tray, if not it will bring down quick settings. This is annoying for me as I have ongoing notifications, meaning to get to quick settings I have to swipe across every time.

Dialler only in notification bar

When someone calls me my phone (nexus 5x, 7.1.2) doesn't wake up, the screen stays off and I only see the call if I wake up phone and then it's only the dialler icon in notification bar, so I have to wake phone and drag notification bar down to answer or reject call? It always used to be full screen and wake my phone? Any ideas?

Go into Settings -> Apps -> Click gear icon on top right -> Check "Phone app". Probably you'll need to select a default phone app

No granular ability to remove notifications for select apps from lockscreen.

Running: lineage-14.1-20170622-nightly-m8-signed.zip
To start - I do know that there are several ways to prevent lock screen notifications.
1) In the main Notifications settings I have options for "On the lock screen":
- "Show all notification content"
- "Don't show notifications at all"
Of course this is all or nothing, so it isn't really very flexible.
2) Then, if I turn on Power notification controls I can set an app to "Level 2" which includes:
- Prevent full screen interruption
- Never peek
- Never make sound or vibrate
- Hide from lock screen
- Show at the bottom of the notification list
However this is almost totally useless as if I choose to restrict an app to Level 2 because I don't want it on the lock screen, I lose the ability for those notification to have any real type of visibility outside of the lock screen.
It appears that stock N has a switch for each app to control whether that app can show notification on the lock screen or not. Here is one such example.
This is very problematic for an app such as Gmail (or any mail app). I want my e-mail notifications to always make a sound/vibrate, etc...but I don't want the details of the e-mails to show in the lockscreen.
Now I have noticed that if I set a lockscreen with a secure option (other than "swipe"), that there is an option to hide notifications with secure content. In this case, my mail notifications show up without details and simply say "content hidden."
This last option gets me a reasonable result, but it requires me to set a secure lock screen. I realize that without a secure lockscreen anyone can simply open your phone and read the e-mail anyway...but it would be very nice to have the options from stock N that simply allow you to disable a particular app's ability to just show on the lock screen.
Ideas?
You must not of understood the settings. What you mentioned was exactly what your trying to achieve.
In the main Notifications settings I have options for "On the lock screen":
- "Show all notification content"
- "Don't show notifications at all"

That setting is applied per app and would disable notifications from that app on the lock screen.
Update:
I think I see the confusion. Your accessing the Global Notifications settings and not individually selecting the app before changing that setting. The one you found controls all Notifications. Go into the app like this and change the setting per app.
(GOTO Settings>Notifications>Select App you want and then set On the Lock Screen to Do not show notifications at all(on the lock screen, this app only))
Correct me if I'm wrong but you just want no notifications from a particular app, only on the lock screen but want normal notifications to work while it's not locked. This would achieve that.

Q: How to enable "alarm/upcoming alarm" notification?

Hi guys,
I am looking for a way to enable notification about the upcoming alarm, I would like to see it on my notification bar as well as lock screen.
For now it only appears when alarm is like 30/15 minutes from going off.
I would like to see the notification at all time, to not have to go to the app/switch on the timer in lock screen to see when my next alarm is on.
All of my Clock notification settings are enabled.
Samsung S20+
I would like to see something like this on my notification bar and lockscreen (pic somewhere from google):

Any idea?

S20+ Quick Tiles problems on lock screen

Hi guys,
In my S20+ when I try to select any QT on my lock screen, the notification bar closes by itself after drawing it down. I can't select any of the QS. Have you guys had the same problem?
Mine does not behave that way. On the lockscreen, I can pull down the notification bar and toggle some settings (BT, sound, DND, autorotate) and the changes take effect but the notification bar stays down. Some toggles require my PIN before taking effect, but the notification bar never scrolls up by itself. I know this doesn't help you sort it out, but letting you know it is not universal behavior.

My S10 Plus with an update that added the power button to the notification bar introduced that bug to :/
