Hi there, I wonder if anyone tried removing the GPU frequency limit on adreno 650. 675mhz of sd870 is way too low compared to 840mhz of sd888. At least 750mhz maybe?. Thanks all.

Hi,
i was wondering since i'm more in the PC area and i know more about overclocking that it can be done not only to gain CPU OC we can get also GPU OC.
Is it possible to get the same thing with the Sony Play ? since it does have a GPU so, can't we overclock that as well ?
regards,
LaBBa.
+1 Sice the Sensation GPU can be overclocked this may be able....
The xperia play does not have a dedicated GPU. Adreno the GPU is built into the CPU chipset thus overclocking the CPU also overclocks the GPU.
We have the adreno 205 GPU, the sensation is using adreno 220.

I know but it is the same architecure, 220 is just one version newer.
Is there some way to OC the Adreno 200? I know it's pretty crappy, but the "enhanced" Adreno 200 apparently offers higher triangle rate and fill rate than even the Adreno 205!

Or is the Desire's GPU seriously THAT BAD? It can't even beat the SGX530 in my Defy...
I know it's an old post but...
There was a kernel "pinkfoldz" for LG L5(adreno 200 enhanced) or something like that and it was providing OC GPU by 10MHZ. But i think it wasn't stable.
Hi.
I am recently going through the process of finding out how low I can push the voltage on the snapdragon 600 of your beloved Nexus 7.
But I someow get the impression that the voltage is not sticking after setting it.
Why you may ask?
Because I am running on 486 MHZ and 700mv. thats like, -275mv of stock., although it may be possible because I have a ACPU BIN 6 CPU (yay!) so it should in theory undervolt better.
Added a screenshot of TricksterMod.
Now to my question: Is it possible for the CPU to operate at this low undervolt? Or are my voltages not sticking?
PS: I am running on the lates Glitch Kernel
Is it safe to overclock the processor and GPU a bit? Asking this since this tablet's processor is simply an underclocked Snapdragon 600.
(If I do, I'll be using ElementalX)
I don't think it makes that much sense. The s4 pro is already fast and does everything (and I mean everything) 600s and 800s can (obviously not considering chipset-specific tasks that our devices are not capable of in any case). I own a n4, same exact SoC and clock speed, and overclocking can be done up to 1.75 GHz. Even if I were to overclock I'd avoid the GPU. In any case follow the instructions provided by your kernel dev, he surely knows best
When you install ElementalX, the installer will guide you.
I'd recommmend you to overclock the cpu to 1.7 GHz and the gpu to 450 MHz. With everything else, just stick to the default.

I overclocked to 1.7 GHz and the GPU up to 491 MHz, but the performance improvement wasn't even notable and I got only 800 more points on AnTuTu and 3 or 4 more FPS on 3DMark
As stated in the post, does heavily underclocking your CPU go against what you're trying to do?
My reason for asking is this - lower per core speed = more cores active at once. Does this increase battery usage rather than decrease it?
I know the answer is probably really simple, but I'm not so sure. I haven't exactly been monitoring battery usage, but it seems to be a touch worse some days and better some.
Oh yes, and I've set my speeds to
Min freq- 300mHz (because why not?)
Max freq- 960mHz (real low.)
CPU governor - dancedance
GPU max freq- 578mHz
GPU governor - msm-adreno-tz
And I'm using Intelliplug.
Thanks in advance guys! ?

yes it does kind of defeat the perpose since from frequency to frequency (per step) it is +40 mv while activating a new core is 800 mv(minimum)
So, going by what you've just said, what frequencies should I use? 300 min and 1497 max?
