I was wondering if it will be possible to overclock the gpu , because my cpu of my htc one v seems to be insanely good , even ran the max 2ghz for few hours , then restarted when i moved the app the storage card, so could be just sd card bug or something , but i switched it back to 1.8ghz(245mhz idle) , anyway my quadrant score is quite low because of the gpu , because i hit 4,1k cpu score at 2ghz , and have seen other phones being able to overclock the gpu.
Hope to see the gpu overclock able soon, will make this phone even better

My can withstand the 2ghz constantly without overheat, but that is the cpu. The gpu is a different story.

hmm just check again my memory and Io score seems to be a problem , score just over 1.9k, seems to low

This is a known issue with the Titanium kernel (KISS has e.g. the same values here as stock)
you can read about it in the kernel thread for this kernel
But I doubt that those benchmarks values make a noticable difference in daily usage
So if you need OC more then 1.5GHz just stay with Titanium.
If you think that I/O values will make your device slower use KISS kernel

max
PS: Regarding the original question
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710850
There you can read all about OCing the GPU
Common point at the end. They didnt found a way to do it
thanx for the reply, was just wondering about score , phone it selfs seems very fast and have no problems with it
ok so the gpu scales with cpu overclock then , must say ashalpt 6 plays very nicely

that guy did overclock hes gpu with 220 chip , maybe new ones can be overclocked only.

Sensation has a Snapdragon S3 One V has S2
regards max
i am pretty sure i saw an app called "Dual" something on the LG P990 threads and it had the option to overclock the gpu*
*if the kernel supports it
sorry for digging up old thread, but... are there now any chances for OCing GPU?

no we're only adreno 205. Only adreno 220/225 supports OC.

It's stupid... phones with Adreno 220/225 are almost shining and new, so where's need to OC them?

How is the qualcomm sanpdragon s3 new
The new ones are Adreno 420, 330, 320, 305 etc.
on Snapdragon 400, 800, 600, s4 pro, other ones I forgot (805 for adreno 420?)

That's why I wrote "almost" so we have to wait for AdrenoBooster for ICS/JB
Good news for me on my One S I will OC my GPU

If I Undervolt the CPU by lets say 100mv or more (I don't oc past 1.4 ghz as it give the most frames in games) will the GPU get more juice ? Cause if ocing to 1.6 the gpu works bad and on 1.4 works better (5-10fps more) . So is this simple. If UV the CPU the GPU will have more mvs ?
Hi there. I have a strange "issue" with my phone. Substantially, it looks like I have a chip capable of EXTREME undervolting. For example, gpu running @ 160 mhz and ONLY 700 mV. 533 mhz is @ 925 mV. It's pretty exaggerated in my opinion. I stress tested the gpu with all benchmarks and games that came in my mind at all steps. Same performance but huge undervolting. I am using Thunder Lite v3 and Neak kernel 2.02. I am currently, after 3 hours of messing with the gpu, dedicating myself to the cpu. I am now typing this with four cores active @ 1.6 ghz and, attention, 1000 mV. And there's still room for more...
It's too much in my opinion, so this may be a stupid question. Is this normal? Are there any powerful stress tests I may use? I am using multiple runs of Antutu at the moment. Is there a way I can verify the voltages I am applying are actually corresponding to what the cpu gets? It's too much in my opinion. I could have some huge luck, but I doubt.
Hey everyone,
Was just wondering, what is your Maximum overclock on your Note II. At what voltage?
1.8GHz for daily usage at 1250mv
[email protected]
Latest antutu 22570.

Don't actually overclock, don't really need it so far
Overclocking Benefits
Wow, 1.86 GHz. Great. Nice low voltage too!
I run at 1.92 GHz, 1350 mV (Sometimes I can get 1325 mV, but I overclocked the GPU. It seems if the GPU is faster the processor needs more voltage?)
Latest Antutu Score: 25545, beating the stock S IV

Don't you undervolt all CPU clocks from 200Mhz to 1900Mhz?

Yep! All clocks are undervolted, each step decrease 25 mV from previous. I found this to give best benchmark and stability!
If you know of any clocks I can decrease further, please share.
Also, does anybody know if 2000 MHz is possible? I heard overclocking should be between 10-20% increase otherwise the CPU could malfunction (device freeze, SOD, ect) Now, 1600 MHz + 20% = 1920 MHz so I don't think any higher is possible.... But anything is possible on XDA/Android!
Tried your setting hitman but best antutu I could get was 23049.

Ok. What ROM are you using? I'm running CM 10.2
Also, governor to Pegasusq. I customised that to give best performance I can get.
And, what kernel are you using? I'm using Devil Kernel 0.35 or something (the latest devil kernel)
Use TricksterMod to overlook GPU to 800 MHz, you'll need extra volts.
Download all in one toolbox from Play, or Clean Master. Run this before running Antutu
Using TricksterMod, make sure CPU temp is below 30 Degrees Celsius.
The processor of moto z2 force is snapdragon 835. It has 8 cores kryo 280(modified cortex a73). So if cortex a73 allow cores be overclocked up to 2.8 ghz, can snapdragon be overclocked up to 2.8 ghz?

I started getting instability over 2.6 GHz steps on Gold cluster and Silver can be clocked up to at least 2.1 GHz. You start getting barely any returns compared to power consumption. After 2.5 GHz, the overclock Tachyon has for Gold, I didn't see much performance increase compared to the near triple power consumption.
In short. We can OC to 2.6 without issue but that step uses 3x more power than the jump from 2.4-2.5 for barely any gains. Silver cluster can get to 2.1GHz without issue and not much power increase.
