Hi, I'm kinda desperate to get it resolved. I'm hoping it is something that I have missed out on and hoping some good soul can help out.
I just bought a bnew Poco F3. I've recently updated to MIUI 13.0.4(Alioth) from 13.0.3. After a couple of days w/o any issues now my phone doesn't charge. It will only charge about 30secs and the charge will stop. I don't think it's a hardware issue but more of a software one. I was about to try to downgrade it but it cannot be detected in my laptop. Hoping you could provide any other suggestions. Thank you very much for reading. Hope you don't experience this.
Things that I've tried
• Known working cable, cable works on other device
• Known working adapter, adapter works on other device.
• PC charging, does not detect the phone. Previously detects it.
• Reupdated back to 13.0.4 from MIUI downloader.
• Safe Mode, doesn't charge.
• Reset back to factory, doesn't charge.
• Turned off phone, waited 10mins, doesn't charge.
• Tried charging in Fastbook, doesn't charge.
• Tried earphone adapter that came with it, that works.
MIUI Version : 13.0.4.0 (SKHMIXM)

Hello, I have been looking everywhere for months on a solution to my problem and though I have been read about many similar problems mine is a bit different.
My s3 will not connect to any PC. No notification on the PC or phone is visible. The last time it worked I was flashing from CM10 to stock via Odin then update through kies to stock 4.1.
*Note: I was non cm10 with ktoons kernel using fast charge(for about a week) I noticed my phone was getting too hot while charging which was what really made me move back to stock.(plus cm10.1 was not out and I wanted to try a stable version of jb)
The original cable that came with my s3 broke in about a week. So I was using an old mytouch4g charger/cable for a while. My my touch 4g cable was all broken too but it worked. I remember that when I wanted to use Odin to flash to stock my phone would not be detected (though it was working before.) So I asked my sister for her cable. It worked and I flashed to stock, booted to Ubuntu on my PC to set it up. I noticed the the device Id wasn't showing (it did appear a few times but dissapeared pretty fast) after about 2hrs of trying to get it to work nothing. Booted to windows 8 and it wasn't being detected either. So since then I,ve been trying to get it work.
Problems I'm facing:
-No USB connection on any computer.(but charges)
-No USB notification
-slow charging when connected via wall charger(sometimes it won't charge at all)
-Charges normal when its off.
-Charging led stays on for about 15 to 30 secs after being disconnected.
Things I've tried:
-different pcs
-Many different chargers (same slow charging and battery led weirdness)
-Many diff USB cables (including my new Samsung cable that came with my nexus 10)
-Formating my PC.
-Flashing diff ROMs/kernels (currently cm10.1 w/ stock kernel)
-Factory reset.
-USB debuging (enabled/disabled)
-Download mode (USB not detected)
-Removing SD card.
-Booting with phone connected.
-Cleaning connector with a tooth brush(I think its still dirty)
-Kies USB troubleshooting
I also notice my battery is draining way faster. 100 to 0 in like 7-8hrs with like 1hr-2 onscreen time.
So I am officialy giving up, and will continue to use my phone and flash ROMs till it dies, but before I do I wanted to hear what XDA has to tell me.
Is my port damaged?? Any other ideas that might fix it?
Please help!
I have the same problem odin sees my phone in download mode or a camera but not as a phone. When it does connect I get a popup on my phone saying service pack 3 not found. Im reinstalling xp ill let you know if it works

Just wondering if Android Auto for connected car displays stopped working for anyone as of yesterday or today. I'm skeptical of another Google "back end experiment" that caused it to stop working. I have a Ford with Sync 3
Symptom: Plug phone into car, nothing happens. Phone only charges and will even say USB is connected.
I've done some basic and partially in depth trouble shooting. It most likely couldn't be caused by any updates on Car infotainment system or my Phone because it has been working (unless there was a back end play services update that was pushed out).
From the obvious to less obvious:
-Tried rebooting phone and restarted car
-Tried using a different USB A to C cable (Anker ones have worked perfectly for me)
-Tried using secondary USB port in car
-Tested phones ability to connect to a PC and transfer data, no issue
-Threw music onto a USB flash drive and plugged it into car, no issue
-Tried turning on USB debugging on phone, no change (not sure if this would have even helped in first place).
I'm at a loss right now. It does not make any sense.
I do not have another android phone to try or an iPhone to test CarPlay unfortunately.
Literally had the same thing happen to me on Sync 3 last week. I just deleted the car from the Android Auto app and deleted the phone from Sync 3. After that I was able to use Android Auto again after going through the setup prompts. No issues since.
Works fine for me on my 2018 silverado
no issues on 2017 Sierra
Here it works perfectly

happens to me every 3-6 months.
Swapping out the cable resolved it every time.
ya dude you need to try some different cables. that should always be your first step if there have been no updates.
Thanks for the replies. I deleted and unpaired AA from my phone and my car with no luck.
I actually had my coworker who has a Pixel 2 XL plug his phone in to my car. He had no issues at all even after multiple tries. Mine still wont connect. We're both on Pie with same security patch level. Did try tried Multiple new cables and still no luck (the anker high quality ones).
I found this thread incase it starts happening to anyone...
https://productforums.google.com/fo.../PWBrDUXzR4o;context-place=forum/android-auto
Something I picked off of that topic was some USB patches/features that went in to effect between Pie release and last month security patch.
I may just wait a month. Maybe another security patch which tweaks USB or 9.1 will drop fixing my issue. We shall see. At least I know its not my car or my cables.
Go into apps and check your "play services" versions between the two phones. Google controls a lot of **** through that app
Or just try to clear your usb port
Thanks for the replies. After the October patch I'm back up and running.
Lack of communication between departments at Google baffles my mind.
i have a problem on my moto Z2play,
the USB on my Moto Z2 Play is not detected on the PC , and then the turbocharge icon is not active when charging the battery,
I have replaced the USB port but the problem remains the same, do you have motoz2play schematic layout? btw thanks for your info and more help
I was having the same problem until yesterday, the usb issue I solved by installing the motorola mobile drivers on my notebook, after reboot it (pc) my cellphone started to be recognized again. The turbo charging issue i'm still testing after performing a factory reset. I let the battery went 0% and the device turn off then when I put it to charge the "turbo charging" icon appeared, but i'll keep an eye on it, to see if it's solved definitely
thanks a lot
thank you for the information and advice, i will try it,
nice to meet you from indonesia,
btw do you have motoz2play schematic?
I had the same issue recently, turns out my USB port was dirty, just use some thin plastic to remove the dust and it shall work like a charm
Stock Pie Sucks
This rom has a lot of bugs...
YES, it won't even recognize the USB connection when connected on the PC.
Any of the custom roms don't have this issue...
EXCEPT that the custom rom experience another problem Stock does not suffer
Instead of the USB problem, they get distorted audio whenever a call is done
It is impossible to understand what people say with that much level of distortion...
Isn't there any ROM that doesn't have any bugs there?
Hi all, suddenly today I noticed that the POCO F3 is simply not charging. I tried connecting it to multiple different chargers, I tried connecting it to my laptop and nothing helps. It is simply not connecting to the laptop and the USB-C port does not seem to work! It is not charging at all!
My phone is at 28% battery! I need to fix this ASAP!! Help please!
I am using the Pixel Extended Android 12 (beta) ROM if that is relevant at all!
Update: Crisis averted. After a few reboots the phone is charging now. But I wonder why it had this problem to begin with? And can this problem re-appear again? Anyone have a similar experience?
There is a bug with the Pixel Extended ROM where the charging animations don't show up(see my post about it on the official thread here), the bug happens when you boot the ROM without charging it at the same time. The phone was actually charging just fine even when you thought it wasn't, but the animations and indicators didn't change. So charge your phone everytime you reboot and stop charging it after the phone boots up into the lock screen and the animations will show up fine.
Oh! I am glad it is a dumb software bug! So scary though... I thought I was toast!

Have you tried going to settings; security; permissions; auto start and from there make sure android auto is set to auto start (and any other related apps you may find)
EDIT: also might want to make sure battery saver is disabled for android auto, but shouldn't make a difference

It's not about the car or software but instead it seems like it's the USB technology ruining it for MIUI devices. Try another cable that's preferably older that uses USB 2.0. If you can't find any, invest in a USB 2.0 hub and your problem should be solved. Haven't found any other solution yet. Good luck!
You can also go into developer options usb default configuration and play with that try file transfer
Just to let you know that my seat (uses the same discover_media head unit as the skoda) works perfectly fine with the cable that came with the Poco F3. Just plug and play, nothing more
I'm using the stock ROM, locked bootloader.
