Hey Google feature is not available on my device.
Is it working for anyone on Lineage/AOSP 11 ROMs? Or 12?
I've only tried 11, such as Havoc and Carbon.
Worked fine for me on stock ROM.

It working for me on Derpfest with Arter97 kernel. If it makes a difference I already had voice match set up from previous devices.

I thought the Arter kernel was only for stock ROM.
Maybe I'll give that a try first.
Yeah, Google has had my voice forever now.
It all works on stock ROM and previous custom ROM on other phones.
Nope, flashing Arter kernel didn't help.
Dangit.
I really don't want to flash a 12 ROM.
Strange that it's not working for you. It has always worked for me on my 9 on custom ROMs and it is currently working on StagOS 12.1 as long as I remember to enable the microphone by making a call, turning on the speakerphone, and turning it back off each time I reboot. Otherwise, the microphone doesn't pick up anything.
It worked on the OOS11 firmware-based StagOS too. Also on Nameless when I tried it.
I MSM'd back to stock and I can enable OK Google but it still doesn't work.
Very odd issue.
Voice commands work fine after I open Assistant.
It's just the "OK Google" or "Hey Google" that don't do anything.
I even re-trained my voice and did a factory reset and I even created a brand new Google account.
I'm having a hard time figuring out how this could be a hardware problem.
But I do have two other bizarre issues.
Such as suddenly my phone via USB connection isn't recognized by any of my three computers, where it had been fine before.
Warp speed charging doesn't work anymore.
And my cellular reception isn't half as good as it used to be.
EDIT:
I called T-Mobile for help.
On the call we discovered that my speakerphone wasn't working either.
Between all the various issues, they are sending me a warranty replacement.

Hi.
I have this phone since months but I could not figure out which rom to install. I don't want to lose the Sony's camera so RR and CM is not an option. (Tried to flash it from cross-dev thread topics but just killed the rom)
The other problem is that from the stock roms the latest (D5503 14.6.A.1.236) has a prerooted version wich I still use but after a month it started freezing and rebooting and now doing it almost every hour.
I don't want to use previous builds because the latest has the best battery life.
Any idea?

Personally, I start from scratch, (flashtool ftf), then build, (root, busybox, recovery, mods, Xposed, etc.). I always keep a backup of base rooted rom, then make a backup whenever I do any major system changes successfully.
I'm pretty much satisfied with MX ROM. Few quirks here and there, but nothing major. Battery life is better than on stock, put Z5 camera libs, amplify and MobileRadioFix and it's very good. Probably there will be some new update soon.
Thanks for your answer.
I solved it. I use RR (this is my favourite) and the OpenCamera app seems better than the Sony's Camera app
I prefer kitkat. I can make it run for days on end whithout charging. Lollipop and MM just sucks the juice out of the phone. I don't feel either LP nor MM has that much that make it interesting for me to change to either of them.
Picture: mobile used for three days on battery (and yes, I have taken calls on it)

Hi,
Why is it that in the new android on the stock rom for the P2 the sound notification is bugged. I just tripped bad because this is the 10th time at least that when I NEED to be accessible that the phone simply keeps silent while it is IN NOT SILENT mode. And when I put the phone in silent mode that messages come through and my phone makes sound (when I am in a meeting).
It is frustrating like ...Mod Edit: profanity removed... hell.
What is a stable custom rom, I am flashing today got enough of this stock rom. I don't care about warranty anymore if there still is any at all.
Seriously but the software on the Lenovo Z1 was at least more stable.
Unbelieveble that they are able to mess up basically the BASIC functionality of the phone

Hey. Little FAQ for you:
Which Custom Rom Android Version is stable enough?
- Nougat (nearly everything), then Oreo.
Custom Roms i can recommend:
- ViperOS by BabluS. : NOUGAT
- Nearly all Roms by Subham (Cardinal AOSP; Android Open Source Illusion Project) : OREO
- AOSP Extended : OREO + NOUGAT
- Firehound : OREO
Things to note:
- There are Camera bugs when changing to Custom Roms: Taking photos is normal, but video recording is buggy. Fail Safe app for video recording: Footej.
- Most Custom Roms already have it fixed, so you can use it as a daily driver all the way.
- In-App Video recording doesn't work , e.g.: in Whatsapp or Telegram; to get it working you have to edit the build.prop file. If you need help regarding that, Pm me.
- To get Fingerprint Gestures on Oreo you have to encrypt your phone. On Nougat, encryption isn't always neccessary, like on ViperOs.
I personally am on ViperOS Nougat.
Pros: Stable Connectivity; Bugless as i can tell, counting out video recording; build in- Black amoled mode- use the built-in theming engine.
Cons: Older Android Version, but that's totally unimportant. One-key doesn't work, on any kinda rom. Maybe in the future it will be useable again.

What is LineageOS?
LineageOS, also known as LineageOS Android Distribution and Lineage (/ˈlɪn.i.ɪdʒ/), is a free and open-source operating system for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Android mobile platform. It is the successor to the highly popular custom ROM CyanogenMod, from which it was forked in December 2016 when Cyanogen Inc. announced it was discontinuing development and shut down the infrastructure behind the project. Since Cyanogen Inc. retained the rights to the Cyanogen name the project rebranded its fork as LineageOS.

Great Rom
This ROM is great. Great Battery Life, performance. Using it since 2 days. Just that there are few issues that I faced while using this ROM.
1. SD card recognised and showed corrupted but unable to format it.
2. When using Netflix, If i get a text on WhatsApp and try to open it by tapping on the banner, phones goes to lockscreen.
3. Unable to use camera in WhatsApp.
Good roam very stable.only problem is fingerprint not working I hope it will be fixed in the next update
Did not disabled the camera2api on COS! and already installed the ROm ..that's why the front cam is not working now! What should i do?
Rear camera of default camera constantly crashing in latest build.Front cam working. Can't find the reason.
Lineage
Lineage os is awesome, smooth and performance
I'm really considering going back to Android 10.
I'm not sure if the issue is Android 11 related . Root related , or magisk module related.
Occasionally when I try to wake up the phone all I get is a black screen , which requires a restart by holding down the power button.
Another issue I have come across is random freezes when using apps such as Google news and Amazon. When the phone freezes , I attempt to restart the phone. I press the power button, menu comes up I attempt to restart it . Get haptic feedback for the for the button press but nothing happens.
I'm on the latest canary build of magisk and all modules updated.
Has anyone has similar issues on android 11?

Nope haven't had any issues with Android 11 besides the Android 11 new feature media controls not always dismissing after I remove a media app from recents requiring the app to be force closed
I am not rooted and don't have a custom kernel installed.
So probably root related honestly try disabling magisk then reinstalling the stock boot img using adb
Thank you for the reply, I'll definitely give that a try

I had issues like yours as well... Actually tried other roms but ended back on stock 11 with fx kernel. Not sure if it was the update I received to magisk or just the super clean install but this go around those issues so far have not returned.

Thank you, hopefully I have the same luck as you with a fresh install of Android 11. I did a Android 11 image flash without a data wipe. Seems like it was a mistake lol
Update: if anyone has the same issue ,magisk systemless host module seems to be the issue . There is a github ticket open for the issue.

Hey guys I have just flashed LOS 18.1 on my Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro, I have been using LOS 17 for about a year without problems.
I wanted to upgrade to Android 12, but that did not really go according to plan, so I'm still at A11, but now on LOS 18.1.
But I have noticed that the GPS is not really working well on my phone now. Gmaps sometimes works, and other apps that would like to know where I am don't work.
I tried changing the access right to the apps and reinstalling them, but that does not seams to help.
GSP is working on the devices, as this screenshot is showing.
So I think there is something wrong with the OS.
I have only installed OpenGapps version pico, is there something I'm missing now, thereover it is not working?

Using a phone indoors with GApps you will most of the time not get "gps" location, but network based location. Google knows from the WiFinetworks, where you are. Maybe you disabled something, like wifi scanning or data permission form play services?
I never had a problem with GPS in my house.
But yesterday I got a LOS update, and all is working fine now, so there was something in the OS
