I tried to install a custom rom on my Honor 7X that was on stock EMUI 9.1 before. Therefore I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and executed "Format Data" and wiped all partitions in TWRP. But now I can't start TWRP or the huawei erecovery it just loads forever. I tried several TWRP version but nothing works. But at least I still can get into fastboot mode. Is there anything I can try out?

I was running an unlocked one plus 3 on OxygenOS 4.0.2 (Android Nougat) and have TWRP installed. As 4.0.3 got released yesterday, i tried installing it today but i accidentally hit install on the OTA update setting which caused my phone to reboot. Now my phone won't boot into the os, i get a black screen after 'powered by Android'. I tried getting into Recovery however i get the same response, a black screen. I do not think it is hardbricked as the Fastboot still works and when i go into fashtboot it states that the OEM is 'unlocked'. I have personal data on this device pls can someone help. I do not know what i should do> How do i boot into recovery without crashing?
Is it possible to install twrp again with the PC? I had once also the same problem, install it again and after that it booted again into recovery.
Just install TWRP from fastboot, then you'll have access to internal storage by TWRP
It's happening because it's trying to send you to recovery which is twrp 3. 0.4-1which is bugged so just go to fastboot and flash twrp 2.0.4-1 and then try booting in.. You can even update the phone by flashing the update zip by oneplus from recovery
I was attempting to install TWRP on my Mi A2 Lite running Android One 9.0, so I can root it with magisk. I unlocked the bootloader, followed twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimia2lite.html (I can't post links, since I'm a new user), but when I tried to boot recovery mode after the TWRP install, it said the system was damaged (android one still booted fine,
it was just the recovery). I thought maybe it was because I couldn't decrypt data because of the password lock on TWRP. So I booted TWRP through fastboot again and wiped the system, then retried installing TWRP. It once again claimed to have successfully installed, and I stupidly tried installing Magisk right after. After that point, OS would no longer boot. I tried getdroidtips.com/v10-0-1-0-pdlmifj-pie-mi-a2-lite/ , but the install failed on an error. I'm going to just assume I erased the OS, how can I restore it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Edit:
I'm dumb, I just used the flash tool....
Just download the latest firmware from the following URL and flash it with Miflash.

You don't need TWRP to root this phone. I would suggest you to check out this guide:

Just forget about our TWRP, it's kinda buggy.
Hi, I have a problem with my Huawei P20 lite: after 5 seconds I've opened TWRP, The device reboots to the fast boot. I've tried to install the Treble version of TWRP, but it doesn't change anything. What I can do? PS. I've unlocked the bootloader, and I've downloaded the TWRP from https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/development/recovery-testing-t3783587. Thanks for the help
Hi, I have an issue with my phone and would need your help in recovering it back to life.
I have rebranded mate SE to Indian version few months back. so far so good. I have unlocked bootloader and started playing with it by downgrading etc.
the current situation is the phone is bricked with a android pie erecovery and no boot. tried using all the roms visiting various threads here with no luck (including service rom, multi-tool flashing etc)
multi-tool says Orio version 8.0.0.375. I am not able to flash any Oreo images since multitool says partition mismatch (boot, recovery etc) but when I flash 9.0.XX versions or Nougat versions, system is flashed successfully, yet, boot loops and back to latest erecovery.
don't have twrp (despite multitool flashing is successful) all I get is phone boots only to erecovery (latest)
unable to flash any stock recovery or kernels - as multitools says, partition mismatch.
Can someone help?
any help pls?
I was trying to install custom rom (evolution X 4.6) on my redmi note 8 pro and it went a little bad
I started off normal by unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP then I closed avb 2.0 and installed root and everything was fine and my phone was booting normally so then I went TWRP and wiped the default wipe then i clicked install and flashed the rom and so then i clicked reboot and i was greeted with a bootloop and i don't know what to do i tried flashing global MIUI 12 but when it tries to boot it ends up opening TWRP i also made the big mistake of not backing up my device before attempting to flash custom rom someone please help I'm trying to rollback to the factory firmware but i don't know how
i just found out you had to be android 9 to flash custom roms
now I can't even enter twrp and I tried reflashing it and I still can't enter it the only thing I can do rn is enter fastboot
