Hi all,
my poco F3 with MIUI 13.0.6.0 (SKHEUXM) has a bug when in dual sim mode.
Infact I have 2 SIMs: 1st is used for data/phone call, 2nd only to receive phone call (no data plan!).
Well, my credit on the 2nd SIM has been wiped because the phone generates some traffic on the 2nd SIM and I don't have data plan on that SIM.
This traffic doesn't result from the phone: if I check data usage app it says 0 bytes on 2nd sim!
OK, you'll suggest me to delete the APN for 2nd SIM: it goes well until I get the first rom update, because after a security patch update the APN was restored and my traffic wiped again!
So, for now, the only good method was asking the provider to block the internet traffic on 2nd SIM but, I have dual sim phone from about 20 years, I never faced this kind of bug... any help is appreciated.
Nobody uses dual SIM and original MIUI 13?
I also faced this issue on crDroid 6.x. As you mentioned, the solution was to block internet traffic.

So maybe it's a hardware failure, if custom ROM have same issue...

Good day! I just want to ask if anyone has an idea of how to solve a weird and sudden problem that happened to my phone a few days ago.
I was running Cyanogenmod R16 with Xcelerate kernel.
I use two SIM cards on my phone, but I do not use the first slot all the time, so when I'm not using it, I regularly disable it through the SIM card settings, and enable it only when I need it.
What happened is, when I tried to enable it, suddenly both my SIM card slots could not be recognized (The SIM card settings could not be accessed; and error says: "SIM card info not available. Menu cannot be accessed"). In the lockscreen, it says: "INVALID CARD." for both SIMs.
I tried both restoring a backup and going back to stock MIUI, but still, the problem was there; none of the SIMs could be recognized (I tried using other SIM cards too.)
My IMEI's for both SIM slots are fine.
I've looked up on other forums, but I haven't found any others with a similar problem on the Redmi 1S.
If anyone knows what I need to do to fix this, I need your help. Thank you very much.
Have you tried both sim in other phone..?
If yes,and both working then should be problem with your imei!

Yes, I've tried both SIM's on another phone, and they work fine.
Since my phone still shows both IMEI's when I look for it, I assumed that there's no problem with them. What are possible problems that concern IMEI's? So that I can look up on general IMEI problems.
Thank you very much!
May be this can help friend

Thanks for the reference. Backed up my IMEI and Restored it right after, but still no change. Still, thanks!
EDIT: I've already tried two newly bought SIM cards, and the problem is still present.
Was this solved? Happening to me right now..
Happening to me too... Unsolved
For me just blowing in the sim slot & reboot fixed after few times..
if you have TWRP backup your modem & efs partition, just restore it via twrp. it worked for me
Hello,
I have a similar problem.
SIM2 is not recognized at all. I can use SIM1 only.
Tried to switch the SIM cards and still SIM2 is not recognized.
Both SIM cards are working great on other phones.
Is it OS related issue?
I've got same problem. Try to clean the sim metal contacts carefully and gently with an alcohol and qtip or tissue. It solved my problem.

Hello Everyone,
I need some help regarding the network issues for Moto Z Play.
I started this thread because after doing a lot of solutions, resets and still it wasn't successful.
So here's the story -
Two days ago my brother gave me the phone which was in excellent condition (VoLTE working, Battery Performance, etc.) working on Android 7.0.
Then he did a reset on the phone from Settings so I can use it.
When I inserted my SIM Cards in the phone, I got network and everything and immediately I received an Update for Nougat 7.1.1. I installed the update and then when the phone booted, I did the setup and everything. But l wasn't able to get VoLTE on my phone. There was no Enhanced LTE Mode option in Settings. I thought it was something temporary and maybe after sometime I will be automatically resolved but it didn't.
The next day I started researching over the internet and found clearing the cache or data of settings or hard reset from recovery/settings will do and I did it but none of the solutions worked. Then I thought it was the SIM problem but it wasn't. I inserted the same Jio SIM from my phone into another VoLTE phone and it was working. I also tried another Jio SIM in Moto and it was showing VoLTE and everything was working perfect. Also I inserted my idea SIM (which was in SIM2 slot) in SIM 1 and it was not showing even 4G range (Just 3G) (The idea SIM is also 4G).
I tried everything - Swapping SIM cards, resetting the phone, Clearing cache, etc. I don't know why this has happened as my brother was using the same carrier sim in same slots (SIM1 - Jio|SIM2- Idea).
I also called the JIO care and they took the complaint and they told me they would look forward to it in 48 hours.
Also, my bootloader is locked and can I flash original stock firmware? (I guess that's only thing left I haven't tried) If so, please provide the link and guide to flash the firmware.
If Anyone has a solution please help me, I am in big trouble.
Get a new sim card for your number. Don't ask why. But this will work, trust me.

Thanks man, I was too thinking of that and went to JIO store. They had a server error and will be back available in 4-5 days. Will then post with new SIM results.
Hi
I have an A5 2017 dual sim. It has THR CSC code, but I use it in Hungary. Recently I got the new SW update over OTA (A520FXXU4BRAB) which made the phone tottaly unsuble in terms of the cellular connectivity. It hardly connects to LTE network, if it does, sometimes the mobile data is not working altough it show that it's connectetted and data are downloaded/uploaded. After a while it drops completetly the cellular network, can't reconnect for a while. So not just the mobile data are not working but i cannot even make/recceive any phone calls. If I force to use only 2G network at least phone calls can be made. For me it seems that the handover between mobile stations (or switching between 4.5G/4G/3G) is not working properly.
I had no such issues with the previuous SW (A520FXXU3BQL4). I did the 'wipe cache' - no result. Then full factory reset but still no result.
Since it's a dual sim phone, I switched the data connectivity to the another SIM (not just another SIM, but different carrier), but the symptomps are the same.
Do anyone has some idea what could I do?
Is it possible to downgrade the previous SW with Odin? I have downloaded the SW from sammobile but I don't dare to flash it.
There is no root on the phone, only original Samsung FWs were used, knox is active.
Thank for your kind help.
I have found a very similar problem description in the S6 forum ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-network-data-connection-drops-t3097605/page7 )
Has anyone experienced this on A5?

Im having the same problem with SM-A520F/DS, Indonesia frimware, 1 january 2018 security patch level :crying:
I have tried another firmware with security patch in january 2018, but the result is the same, my SIM card can not accept or do call, for certain region my sim card does not detect signal, and i have tried all kind of sim card but the result is same. sorry for bad english
any solutions? :crying:
I own a redmi 7 onclite. Few days before i unlocked bootloader, rooted with magisk and installed bootlegger custom rom with miui (gsi). At first try rom file got corrupted and messing with it made twrp corrupted. But i again flashed twrp through a pc and the other file of bootlegger rom. And then everything was working fine with network. I was using airtel sim. Then i ported my airtel sim to jio sim. And after inserting my new jio sim, nothing working no msg ougoing incoming no data no call ougoing. I had to tele verify it by placing it in other phone and recherged the plan. Then reinserted back to my phone and internet data started but no call outgoing worked. I tried 10s of solutions online(placed in 1st sim tray, changed apn settings, tried jio call app, modified build.prop file, disabled google play protect, and even contacted customer care) but nothing worked. And now incoming calls are also not working even data is working only on 64kbps plan. I cant reset cause i worked very hard and optimized it very much. Please please anyone help. Sorry for long text(just for better understanding). Any working solution will be appreciated very much and yes i dont have any previous backup also. Thank you!
I solved the issue that was caused by a bad APN but I would like to know why my phone kept the bad APN even after clean flashing another ROM.
So last week I woke and found out that I don't have mobile data. I saw that I reached the default 2GB limit so I removed the limit but it didn't fix the issue. I tested my SIM card on another phone and the Internet was working. So I figured it must be bug in the last version of Havoc OS 2.9 so I roll-baked to 2.8 but it didn't fix the problem.
I tried another ROM but it didn't fix the issue neither (I even formatted the data partition). Reseting the network settings didn't help neither.
The issue was fixed by removing the APN name and the right one appeared.
So here are my questions:
Why I lost the good APN ? Is it an issue with my carrier ?
Why clean flashing another ROM didn't fix the issue ? Where these settings are stored ?
Your answers are much appreciated.
