How did you install it? Did you use a custom recovery? I'm on A12 custom rom now....

I used the custom recovery from the rom yes. It ran great today though, I did for some reason lose GPS using maps, and my bike tracker...my settings look good and I cleared data/cache to no avail. I'm going to try a clean install and see if that fixes - I like the rom overall and battery life is good. Super smooth/slick - so I hope the GPS was just a bad install...stay tuned lol.

Thanks, I only see two files i can download from their website, ROM and Boot.. Where did you get the Recovery?
Oh sorry - when you add the boot in fastboot mode, it sets up their custom recovery...so run the boot.img in fastboot, then use the up-volume and go into recovery.
On the GPS issue - on my install the GPS is somehow toggled "off" for maps, waze etc. I added the icon to my quick start pull down and turned it on.
I did backup/reinstall settings from another rom on the initial install so the settings may have been screwy, but I did another fresh install and this time didn't migrate any data from past backups...it was still that way. I think this fixed the issue but i'll test it out tomorrow.

Ok, thank you...
So, you flashed the boot file first and then you rebooted into recovery, right?
I hope someone will put here more detalied instructions about it.....

I had the same issue - I use firefox at home...switched over to Edge (I think) and the download came thru. If that doesn't work PM me and I'll set up a drive share if you want.
Okay now I have everything up and running - will comment on battery life in a few days.
The 2nd fresh install - I had the same GPS issue above but once I put the GPS icon on the quick-pull down menu, I just turned it on.
Battery notes and review: the Rom is slick and fast - better than most and at least as good as any others I've tried for this device.
I like the fact the gapps are in the rom folder - saves you some trouble with all the apps being installed as part of the official rom. Sometimes apps aren't installed at system-apps if it's done afterwards so this is a help for guys like me
Battery - I got 24 hours in and still had 33% left. with SOT at 1.5 hours. I'm not a heavy user so that should give me about 36 hours or so of phone-on time at least the way I use it (about 2-2.5 hours of SOT is normal for me with a full charge). By comparison...most other roms give me between about 28-35 hours. So this also has great battery life.
Charging time is fast - I'm not sure how all that works but it charges really quickly.
Features are plenty - I generally like the stock-roms with all the crap stripped out, with just a few extra features. This has way more than just that but you still get great speed and battery.
The thing I love is - I don't feel like I need to add a new kernel, or root to enhance the speed or battery - it's pretty legit straight up as-is. As-is this is a great rom with not tweaks needed post install.
Great rom - thanks for the work.

So uhm are there any real differences? Or am I just plain stupid and miss them. 5.2 is good enough for everyday use as well....
Note: this is not meant to be rude or anything. It's allways good to see more devs
Man, it's nice to see new faces, but you're not bringing anything new to the table, just a "rehash" of someone's ROM.
Like someone once wrote, proficiency with winzip doesn't make you a dev, and it's sad to see ppl just playing around with winzip, adding a few apks, changing a few lines and posting "new stuff".
I wanted to look the other way, just like I did with the other new "chefs", but hey, guy, you even had the very good idea to add a donate link to your sig., not even reaching 10 posts!
Unless you bring something new, I don't think it's a good idea to post, since it's just spam.
That might come in handy for you: "innovation, not imitation"
I didn't say it is brand new stuff. As I mentioned in the first post, it's based on Vanillain ROM. If you try my version and the original version you'll definately see a difference in both speed and stability.
Really, I don't think this is as useless as you might consider it. Maybe I'm not the only 'vanilla android' fan around here looking for a stable release.
What's with the attitude people... He posted a ROM he thinks is good and he wants to share his work, even if it's not *NEW*...
Download or don't download but give him a break... let people try and feedback, maybe you'll find he didn't just "zip" the ROM...
RaduG thanks for your work and share. I'm into Sense UI so I won't be trying this but again, thanks for sharing!
Ok so here it goes.
Just did a restart after setup and it is fast but switching between screens i a bit slow (will give it some more time). The launcher has only 3 screens "helix" I think you could use a different one.
Oh and the 3G watchdog could be an option. It is useful but i bet not all people would like it.
At the and of the day i think this is a great ROM. Stable and ready to be used as an everyday ROM
Thanks for your feedback.
I've tested different launchers available and the HelixLauncher included in this ROM is the most stable in my oppinion. I will wait for more feedback and if you users like it I will take the apps you don't like out.

It's not a matter of software being new, but seriously, just how many rehashes of base roms shared by other devs were posted?
How many "chefs" DID compile their own custom overlay of aosp?
In fact, nprussel was using mine for quite some time, but didn't react since he really has contributed a lot in these forums; in fact, I'd congratulate him.
Apart from some additional apks, I don't see anything new in here (same old bugs, "features" of other roms based on the leaks)
The one thing that really ticked me off, is the "audacious" donate link for what is, let's face it, a rip atm.
I've taken it off since you first posted. You're somehow right, but i really don't think this is useless. I'm 100% sure this is the most stable Android 2.1 you can download on the forum ATM. Since it is an improvement and i've given credits to the source, i don't think there is a real issue.
Still waiting for feedback.
Could not get it to work, did a full wipe, then flashed.
Then it boots and every single thing that starts crashes: 'sorry ... setup stopped unexpectedly'
I have the latest radio.
Managed to mount my sdcard between all the error screens luckily, so I'll put another ROM onto my phone in 5 minutes.
Strange, a few users tested and everything worked perfect. Please try a full wipe after install and post results. Thanks.
Going to check it.
This is my third rom, so I should now more or less how to install it, but what do you mean with wipe after install? My actions, in order:
put zip on sd card
boot in recovery
wipe whatever I can wipe (system and cache, I do not have an ext partition so no point wiping that)
flash
boot
so which step then?

Can you add Antutu best result on this rom?
Sent from my Mi Note 2 using Tapatalk
Hi,
I'd like to say thanks for this ROM. It is very functional - lots of extra options - and seems to work very well. I have been trying all the Oreo ROMs, but most have battery life issues and the phone runs too hot. This ROM however is different - after the load and a short settle down period the ROM runs cool and does not use so much juice. Oreo seems like Nougat at launch, basically over hyped and short on genuine 'advances'. As usual developers will have to figure out how to get the best from the code, so initial ROMs are in many ways a step backwards on the battery life and performance possible on Nougat.
The only issue I have noted so far - and this applies to all of the Oreo ROMs is that they take ages to charge the battery. I know this can be fixed by better Kernel optimisation, but alas there is nothing available that I can get to work right now - tried Pepsy but it hangs 100% of the time, and it is not for this ROM anyway (yes I did read ALL of the instructions for the so called compatible ROMs). I have around 200 apps loaded on my phone, so far all of them seem to work OK. Great job! Thanks :0)

Hi,
I'd like to say thanks for the OTA update yesterday. Now the 'fast charge' appears to work, and a few other minor issues have been resolved. The ROM continues to exhibit excellent battery life, and also runs very cool (even when charging). I am getting as low as 22 degrees Celsius which is the best I have got with any ROM. I am using Greenify and DU Battery Saver. These both seem to work fine and do help get rid of any hidden battery drains.
Using Viper and this works fine (implemented via Magisk).
The only issue I now have to figure out is when using the Wifi Hotspot feature I am losing the connection when the screen goes off. Most likely it is something I have killing the app, but I cannot find the root cause. Any tips would be welcome!
Thanks again for a top quality ROM with great features and superb performance / battery. Not going back to MIUI - this is now my daily driver :0)

Thank you for the reviews you posted here , it made me want to try this rom, so when i'll get the chance (mostly it's about the time), i'll switch to it.
Seems to be a very cool ROM! Thank you , dev!
yeah, phone seems running cooled, for standart usage it's good! Most of options, like AEX or RR is presented, so now i use this ROM and waiting for more features and updates.
Hi!
I've finally got the chance to test the ROM and i am very impressed by how feature packed it is.
The only things that i've noticed is that the reception is not that great as other roms and sometimes it doesn't want to connect to the mobile data , so i have to turn on&off the airplane mode.
Also, the sound volume is low . Can it be higher by default?
Thank you for your work here!
I hope there will be updates in the future, too!
Another problem i've noticed is the fact that the phone gets pretty hot when doing normal activities like scrolling through facebook or using camera

I do find certain apps can cause the phone to heat up. I don't use either Facebook or the native camera app - so I am not seeing this issue. I do have a Logitech wifi camera app that is a nightmare - but if I set it to Greenify it stops being a problem.
One other point is to note the unusual upgrade instructions - wipe system partition and re-load gapps. I did not do this for a couple of updates and a few things started to go wrong. Hopefully doing as per the Dev's instructions will improve things. Tried latest version of ASOP Extended and fled back to crDroid which seems not to eat the battery so fast.
Always remember a couple of key disciplines when changing ROM - I always reset the Battery Stats with a battery calibrator after a full charge (first time only), and then you need a few hours for the software to 'settle down' and stop running various hidden set-up / optimisation routines. Typically a day later the things starts to work properly. This happens on all ROMs in my experience.
Thanks again Firebird for this ROM
I wonder how can you developer maintain so many devices at the same time?that's really amazing
Bluetooth always crashed.
Edit: Re-flash and fixed

How long have you been on RevengeOS? A few days? I'm sure you know this but I don't pay any attention to battery stats until 3-4 complete cycles after I install a new setup. Wait for everything to settle and stats to become accurate.. My battery on my chiron is definitely overdue for a swap. Sometimes I get average decent battery and other times it's half that. Picked up my device used off swappa about a year ago and i had it a few weeks and battery started to deteriorate more and more.
This rom is great btw op!! At the stage RevengeOS is currently at, being just upgraded to Android 11 it sort of reminds me of Decendants UI wise. Awesome work though thanks for bringing some A11 love to chiron.

That's right, this rom is great, however I've found probably a bug, after instal gcam, back camera starts buzzing and the photos which were take are shaked, but not all the time, when it's start buzzing on gcam, I found that every app using camera had this problem, it's looks like hardware issue, but on miui I haven't experienced something like this. Today I'm flashed miui because not only low sot I've got, battery charging slower than usual in miui, next thing is notification led, it's to bright for me, and camera flashlight is to yellowish and to low in my opinion, for now I've wait for next versions
What gapps have you got guys? I've tried nikgapps but I couldn't get the rom to boot with omni and higher, it went straight to the recovery. (core & basic worked)

I actually used the NikGApps Omni package. I wiped data, vendor, system, and cache in Orange Fox recovery v11 beta then flashed RevengeOS 4.0 , flashed NikGApps-Android 11-Omni 10/10/2020 package, reboot system. Booted right up for me.. Attached a screenshot of gapps I used.

When I saw your post about the NikGApps omni I was like I swear that's what I used when I installed... I keep all my zips on USB thumb drives so I was able to confirm that I did use the Omni NikGApps_11-gapps. Weird. Maybe something in the app packages, who knows but my phone booted afterwards like it normally does... If you try Orange Fox recovery, if you don't want to install recovery there's a recovery.img inside the v11 beta installer zip that you can use and just do fastboot boot recovery.img from your PC and it'll boot recovery. I assumed that's what it was after unpacking the zip after another user asked if it could be booted and not installed using the recovery.img and I sent the command and it booted fine.
Really cool that we have an Android 11 rom for chiron!! :good:

I actually used the NikGApps Omni package. I wiped data, vendor, system, and cache in Orange Fox recovery v11 beta then flashed RevengeOS 4.0 , flashed NikGApps-Android 11-Omni 10/10/2020 package, reboot system. Booted right up for me.. Attached a screenshot of gapps I used.

That is hardware issue (most likely due to the dirty lenses) like you said My Mix 2 had this from the beginning, didn't matter what ROM i was using, but as I'm not really guy who takes a lot of pictures it didn't really bother me

Hi, anyone tested if Android Auto works?
Installed this yesterday, the rom is very stable, works fast and has a lot of customization options.
Haven't found many bugs, all in all, great rom to try if you want to use android 11
Only major bug seems to be that NFC isn't working for me
NFC looks to be working now, not sure why in wasn't initially
NFC seems to still be spotty.
Sometimes it works properly, sometimes it can't be turned on
Not sure what it is, but a reboot "fixes" it (albeit temporarily)
Allways had CRDroid on my OP5T and my and my girlfriend has it on her OP6. At this moment i have XtendedRom 5 on my OP7TPro. If i change to this version, lost my encryption data?. Can i install it from fastboot without problems with my data or sdcard ?. THANKS.
New update is available now.

I've also flashed without loosing my internal data, But I can't take guarantee same will be haapen with you, So first take backup of internal before proceeding. First I've executed these commands:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase odm
fastboot erase product
fastboot erase vendor
Then flashed CRDroid and no data loss. But still take internal data backup first just in case.
Really great rom thank you, i only have one bug so far, the right/left balance slider option don't work with Bluetooth ear buds.
How's the battery backup, anyone has any data for that?

I tried the first build but had many UI glitches. Have they been fixed as I'm really temped to try out this ROM. (I went back to oos10)
Also a couple of questions:
1) Can I install OnePlus dialer? I like the raise to accept feature
2) Is the OP oos 11 camera app included or do I have to flash it myself. If so how?
3) OnePlus buds support? Can I just use the oneplus buds app or do I have to use something else?
Thanks for building for this phone!

Fantastic news, can we get a changelog for the release?
Things I like to mention which probably aren't device specific but could be improved:
- Slide statusbar for brightness only goes down to 33%, not to 1%
- Fingerprint is misaligned in a lot of apps (so you see 2 FODs)
- Hold back to kill app doesn't seem to work properly, device vibrates as if an action was performed but the app doesn't get killed
- Hold power to enable flashlight doesd work, but would be better if a vibration was added for haptic feedback to the user
- NFC is still hit and miss, sometimes it does work, somtimes it doesn't
- Warning about SELinux every boot
- as an added option: Automatic enablement of DC Dimming under 15% screen brightness

Seems to work fine, tho I don't have an android auto compatible car, so I can't test it entirely..
The app seems to work tho
rom is great. smooth, customisable, didn`t found any bugs until now but have one issue that I quess is rom related, can`t install usb audio player from playstore, says app isn`t compatible with this version. I guess there are other apps that have this issue. other than that I like it very much! thanks dev!

Please tell me what type of UI glitches.
1) No you can't install untill someone modded to use with custom rom.
2) No oos cam included and you can't flash/install.
3) I don't have oneplus buds so can't confirm.

Great job
Apparently works smoothly. Just two details I can notice:
FM Radio doesn't have audio. Seems like an Android 12 issue.
Encryption is disable. It suppose from Android10+ FBE must be enable by default.
It's fast and stable. The battery is good too. But LTE seems not working. Has anyone been like that?

Yea it doesn't seem to work. The signal icon on the main bar isn't showing either to me.
Joyeuse here
@edit:
It seems like setting up your own APN with your cell provider information fixes the issue. Mobile internet works. I think overall theres something wrong with the android getting the cellular data from the simcard or something. For example in the previous version, u could access the "Sim data" info app, now you can't.
Overall the build works well. Im messing around with it for a few hours and it seems smooth, no reboots, not a lotta bugs. Just needs a little bit more custom CRDroid settings. Thanks for the work dev. Looking forward to the updates.
There's a good Camera app, which can use the 0.6x lens? Thanks

There are tens of variations of GCam, currently using MTSL with deadcat76_joyeuse config (to set the config download the app and double tap the space near the "snap picture" button) and its good. Macro/Normal/Wide works, everything is decent
MTSL: MTSLSnap_v5
Download MTSLSnap_v5 by MTSL.

I need help, how do I activate game mode? I can't find it anywhere in the settings... Can you help me? thank you very much <3
I've been using this ROM since it was uploaded on CrDroid website and here's my experience-
1. Some times the phone just sleeps and never wakes up(totally unresponsive, no sound but when I call to my number it is not off, just unresponsive)
2. On Instagram camera, no matter how much you lower the exposure, the snapped picture has a higher exposure and grainier picture regardless.
3. Idle battery consumption is really bad, when I wake up after sleeping the phone loses around 30 percent battery overnight.
4. The phone is charging at 13watts @4.2v from a 18watt charger so the full 18waty fast charging is not working and it is definitely noticable and a little disappointing.
5. Can't find game mode
