Hello everyone
As the title says the problem is pretty simple. I need to unlock bootloader in a device with Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes, but one step to do that is to turn on OEM Unlock from dev setting in the device. Which i can not do since it is greyed out. I just go this device and it has not been unlocked or relocked.
If I understand correctly OEM unlock means that it unlocks bootloader, right?
So I have the OEM unlock option in my Developer Options and I'm wondering why people are using adb to unlock the bootloader instead of just ticking OEM option?
Is it not the same?
Can I just tick the option and flash twrp, rom, etc.?

Hi, OEM unlock option in settings is just a switch that enables/disables the unlocking of the bootloader. You must first enable OEM unlock in settings and then proceed with the actual unlocking of the bootloader
Google puts a number of steps so you can't accidentally unlock your bootloader.
Enable developer mode
Enable OEM unlock
Unlock bootloader (using fastboot)
Hi guys, i saw that a lot of user want to relock bootloader, for different reasons, mine is i'll pass my Mate 20X, and i want to the other person be safe.
Usually you just write
FASTBOOT OEM RELOCK, but with huawei, you have to write with you UNLOCK CODE
Like this
fastboot oem relock UNLOCK CODE, after that you will see a popup on your screen phone. just accept and your phone will be factory reseted and locked again!

Pixel 2 xl is carrier of verizon But i cant access the verizon. so, is there alternate way to enable oem unlock and unlock the bootloader.
The Verizon Pixel 2XL bootloader cannot be unlocked and there are no alternate methods of unlocking it. As a result the only real options are to use the device as is or sell it
