Hi Guys,
I am currently using a Cell Pro Rom and I find that my it keeps flipping to landscape too often when I have my phone in portrait.
I always have to give it a shake to fix itself and it does get a bit annoying.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
(I remember I may have (not certain) that I might have changed the Sensor registry when I first got it, but I am not certain, does anyone know the default measurements?)
Any ideas are welcomed.
Many thanks in advance!
Did you ask in the Cell Pro ROM thread? Seems a more logical place to ask. I tried that one out and did not have the issue you are describing. Good ROM too.
There is a G-Sensor Calibration in Settings- System.

I'm fearing the fact that I may have changed something in the registery as I got all excited the day i got the phone and went through the tweaks in the wiki.
I am not certain if I made any changes regarding the g sensor so I was wondering if anyone knows the defaults or if there is a .cab or ROM to flash to system restore.
Any clues?
Many thanks in advance
To me the g-sensor is a gimmick. I find it annoying and totally useless so I've turned mine off altogether. If I want the screen to rotate I push the keyboard out. I really don't see any use for it.
I did think the only use I had for it was the face down hands free thing but have since decided that I'd be quite happy to push a button for that. Hardly a hassle.
Hi,
i bought the game "Threes!" yesterday and it works fine when i use my finger to play but if i try to use the S Pen the Game does not recognize any input, it's like the S Pen digitizer is turned off.
Is there any way to fix this (besides hoping that the developer will fix it). Or does anyone know what the Problem might be, so that i could give the developer some hints as to what he has to change.
It just seems strange because this is the first app i encountered that does not work with the s pen.
edit: just tested if the gestures still work and they do so the digitizer seems to be on

Some games don't support S pen
Do you know why they dont support it?
I havent looked into Android programming and note 2 programming but it seems to me that you dont have to implement s pen support, if you would have to i think a whole lot more apps wouldnt support it.
Hi, I have had my note 2 for a while now and a problem has always been bugging me, whenever I play a game which relies on the accelerometer, the character just moves way to the left and to compensate I have to turn my phone right which is incredible annoying, however I am unsure whether I had this problem when I got the phone, I did drop the phone once so that may have caused it, if it is a hardware issue, can it be fixed through software? I don't mind rooting my phone , I've heard installing cyanogenmod works because it has a g-sensor calibration setting which allows you to calibrate the accelerometer, will this work? I just don't want to install it and calibrate it to see it not work. Thank you and sorry for this huge paragraph, any help is much appreciated.

I believe some games that use accelerometer have their own built in accelerometer calibrator that you can use before starting to play the game.
What game is it?

It happens on all games which uses the accelerometer for example highway rider, temple run, doodle jump etc, so I am looking for a way to universally calibrate the accelerometer, do you know how I can do that or is it simply not possible if it is a hardware issue? Thanks
Hello good day. When I receive a call to my redmi note 8 device, the screen turns black before I bring the phone to my ear. I wake up the device with the help of a button or fingerprint. I am getting information about the sensor setting. but it didn't work. I get a calibrated error message. previously i was using india original update now i am using xiaom.eu stabil 12. i am getting the same error. please help. thanks
I have the same problem. Try installing the latest firmware. It didn't work for me. A quick work around is to quickly cover and uncover the top portion of the phone where the proximity sensor is located (near the selfie camera). The phone screen should come back on. I really wish this would get fixed for the numerous people that have this issue.

Thank you for your answer. i'm loading other roms. In a few days the problem starts again. So I wonder if there is the same problem with other xiaomi models?

I forgot to mention that you shouldn't have any kind of screen protector on your phone when you are trying to figure this out. I don't know about other models. I've had the exact same problem with two different RN8's. It's either a bad batch of proximity / light sensors or it's a firmware / software problem that is yet to be resolved. I have done a full search of this forum and numerous users have the same issue we do. Nobody has a fix as far as I know. Please let me know if you learn anything new.
Hey guys and girls. I have the mi band 2 for long years and has been working perfectly until the last firmware upgrade and the screen start it to get dim.
So my question is there a way to degrade the firmware and check if that fixes the dimmed display. If it doesn`t probablly and hardware issue it is.
So if someone knows how can it be done please show me. Because I did research on youtube and google and found this github link but can`t seem to understand it link
Thanks in advance
Having the exact same problem! Mine was sleeping in the drawer for 1,5 years but I got tired of my buggy Versa 2, so I turned back my Mi Band 2 on. Still works perfectly, but the screen is so dim, I can't see sh**. I Googled around and they all suggest to downgrade the firmware version but I have no idea how! Did you manage to find it out how to do it?
I have this article, but I have no clue what tools I need to perform these steps.
