hi everyone i'm having the issue of battery overheating whenever i'm connected to the network while playing game (e.g. candy crush) and when i'm surfing internet for a long while...i've discarded my external cover but the problem persists...my concern is it damages battery life is anyone having similar issue as well? replaced my battery still the same...i'm using cm10a7 hurtsky v2...smartassv2 cpu min 245 max 1401
U can try undervolting. It really reduces the heating by alot

From what I read from others intensively playing games with this device, there was no problems such as overheating with this device. It gets warmer yes, and cools down pretty fast as soon as you stop playing.
Probably thanks to their cooling technology which is a copper pipe which brings heat from top (where chipsets are) to bottom of the phone.
Others with more real life experience might provide you with more detailed answers.

I don't play intensive games like pubg but I do play other games and can honestly say that I have not encountered any heating issues
Other activities like browsing and YouTube are also fine.
Yeah i am blown away by the lack of heating up on the devices. Even when playing with Citra for long periods of time I do not get heat issues
so far no heating issues, i think they might've optimized it more in the latest miui version

Playing these kinds of heavy games will generate the heat, it's natural. You can avoid playing the game when the charger is plugged in and don't use thick back cover.

Guys, what is the normal temperature ur z2 plus operates during summer?. My device's temperature remains above 40 deg even during normal tasks.
Is there any way to keep minimal heating Or any best rom for coping up with this issue?
Downclock the cpu.. snapdragon 820 itself known for heating issue, but in z2 plus is even worse.. also check maybe there is some background app that use many resources
