Can someone with the LG wing install the TeamViewer app and tie it to one of their computers to see if you can navigate TeamViewer by using the bottom screen as a trackpad, but the flipped horizontal screen as a full view of your monitor. Currently on a regular phone. Every time I launch the keyboard I lose most of my screen. It makes TeamViewer a bit difficult to use
Hello Firend , I am thinking of getting the wing for teamviewer usage. Did it get useful to you; Thank you!

I came from PalmOS, and I miss two apps that I can't find - one is a voice recorder that records both sides of a phone conversation (one that works) and the other is the ability to display my Android's screen on my PC.
Being able to see my phone's screen on a PC helps me with organizing and I miss it alot. If there is an app like that could anyone please give me a link or the proper search terms to find such an app. Android apps have such weird names sometimes and some don't even make sense, or at least to me.
I mean I use a program that I search forever for called "Shoot-Me", I mean really? Can't you simply say Screen Capture?
I had a palm befoe my epic! What one did you have? And you could install a vnc server...I don't think there's anything like pdareach for android
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I had a few Palms, but my last Palm was a 755p, which really did everything I needed but not as polished or powerful in some functions as Android, but it is lacking in what I consider basic function of the two apps that I need.
Call Record and PDAreach. Bummer, I was afraid of that. Your saying that if I install VNC server I will be able to see my Android screen and have the same functions as PDAreach? It seems like I am looking for the opposite - I want to see my Android screen on my PC, NOT my PC on my Android screen cause I can do that, i.e., PC remotely controled from my Android.
If so, can you suggest which VNC server is preferred?

Is there an app on the market or elsewhere that can emulate a keyboard and a mouse from the PC to the phone?
In other words can I control my phone via my PC.
I've seen that there is a teamviewer for Samsung phones that does this. Also MirrorOp allows us to do the same thing, but it's time limited and restarts every 2-3 minutes.
Now, I don't need screen mirroring but I don't mind if the app does that, it's just a plus.
It would be nice if such an app exists that emulates a bluetooth keyboard and a mouse along with a pointer.
Thanks in advance for all your suggestions!
Wrong forum. Should be under themes and apps... Sorry

It's called Share Keyboard & Mouse (Beta)
I've found just the app I was looking for, so if someone had the same request for such an app here it is:

Hey there. Doing my first contribution to the Glass developer community
I'm the developer of an app called BBQScreen, which allows you to mirror your Android device screen on your computer. You got it, Glass is an Android device too! And thus, it turns out that BBQScreen is working pretty well on it too, allowing you to mirror your Glass display on your computer at a reasonable frame rate.
Check the video:
This will probably come handy if you have to do a showcase of Glass in front of a crowd and don't want to share it on your small phone screen, or if you want to show your app to a larger audience on a video projector. You can even use your mouse to simulate touchpad inputs.
The only limitations for now are that your Glass must remain plugged on USB (unless you're rooted and manage to flip on the app switch), and both your computer and your Glass must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
The app is normally a paid app, but I know how hard it can be to deal with grabbing, and pushing APKs to Glass, especially since licensing check is in place. So, for my fellow Glass Explorers, I'll be handing out free copies of the app. If you're interested, just let me know by private message here
Thanks!

Thanks for this! I've already paid for BBQ for my android devices but would love an apk for Glass as well (assuming its different?) I sent you a pm!
ShareKM Glass XE16
There is an android app called ShareKM. It has been abandoned by its developer but there is a small group of people trying to keep it alive. At any rate the point of it is to control and android device from a computer. There is an apk in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52164367 that has made it so I can plug my Google Glass XE16 into a PC over USB and my PCs keyboard and mouse will throw over. So it acts like it sees my Glass as another screen and just walks the mouse and keyboard over!!!!
If your glass is rooted you can use bluetooth or wifi but a direct USB connection really links your PC mouse and keyboard to your glass. It is just like a PC application I love called Synergy. I use synergy to link one keyboard and mouse across a windows box, a Linux box and a Mac box. A three screen computer effect but three different operating systems!
BBQ screen looks great! I just wanted to let people know about this since it seems to be in the same Glass control vein.
Thank you for all of your work!
Awesome framerate, thanks! Will have to try it out later. I did a presentation at one point using Bluetooth and GlassRemote, and the framerate was decent but the device got hot and laggy very quickly, ha.

copy?
Any chance I can get a copy of this? I'm happy to by if it still works with xe22, just not sure which version to buy.

For those of you with the 2014 edition who have used a bluetooth mouse, what does the right click do?
Hey all,
I posted the following question on another thread about a specific bluetooth mouse, and didn't get a response so I figured I'd give it another try with a general post.
I use my samsung devices (Galaxy S1, Tab 10 v1, Note 10 2012 edition, and lately an S4) for connecting to work using the citrix thin client. (In addition to all the other things that make the samsung devices great)
One of the problems I've had since samsung moved to jellybean and beyond is the mouse support. Ice cream and prior, when using a bt mouse, the right click seemed to be ignored by the os, or didn't do anything different than the left click unless you were in a app that supported it. Specifically, passing on a right click command in remote desktop to the session.
After JB, the right click on a mouse seems to have been mapped at the OS level to the 'back' function. This makes using a samsung android device as my thin terminal very difficult, as you still need right click on a lot of standard desktop apps. When I'm connected to my remote desktop, and use the right-click the applications prompts to exit. I don't think the right click ever even gets passed along.
(If you want to know irony, pre JB the mouse worked fine, but CTRL and ALT keypresses were ignored by the Os. try going without easy cut and paste for a day when you work with spreadsheets a lot. )
Anyway, my question is, for those of you with the 2014 edition who have used a bluetooth mouse, what does the right click do?
I'm sending in my 2012 edition to amazon for a trade in, and I'm seriously thinking about getting the 2014 10 or the new 12.2 monster, but if the 12.2 is going to be $1k, I might as well go with a surface pro device for now.
If you're still reading, thanks, I know I've gone on a bit. I've struggled with this issue for a while and it makes it very difficult for me to travel lightly. I can use my android devices in a pinch, but man does it drive me nuts when I need to right click on something and can't Try it sometime. You'll throw your mouse across the godderned room. If you happen to know of any other workarounds for this issue, feel free to make my day.
Right click brings me back, it is annoying when I'm browsing the Web and I want to open a link in a new tab.
I do use "jump" for rdp and it does pass the right click through the session. I have "pocket cloud" as well if you would like me to check that as well.

Thank you, unfortunately I don't have a choice for my remote desktop client as it's a corporate thing. So it appears that the jump client you are using is blocking that default function and forcing the right click.. interesting. I would be interested to know if pocket cloud does the same, but only anecdotally.
I hate the 'back' functionality of google's mouse support. I cannot find any way to adjust it. Heck, turning it off would be an improvement.
Looks like TeamViewer only does screen sharing on the Pixel XL. Anyone managed to do real remote control of the Pixel XL? Is it, by any chance, because I am not rooted?
I've only used it to control PC which works A OK, I know this is not much use to you but I had to comment that I dig you Avatar "Anti-distinctly-minty-monetarism..."
TeamViewer From my past knowledge of it was only intended to be used to control computers and not phones. It never had that feature.
If it did then it would most certainly require root.

TeamViewer on your pc can access most Android phones. With regards to the Google Pixel, TeamViewer has sent in a request for authorization however Google has not accepted it. If they don't in the next few months then it probably won't happen. I believe Google denied TeamViewer access to the most recent Nexus lineup.
Teamviewer allows full control of the phone when using many Samsung devices. Pixel isn't supported and will only do screen mirroring (no interaction). Google didn't want to give TV access to the necessary code.
Real remote control with AirDroid

I have the same issue. Cannot control my mother's Pixel 2 via TeamViewer. Screen sharing only, no control. However, AirDroid does allow mirroring WITH control, without root, even in their free version. Not as good as TeamViewer, but better than nothing!
You will have to enable Developer options (google it), enable USB debugging, and connect the phone by wire to the computer once. Thereafter, none of that is necessary, and fully functional mirroring works well enough.
However, I have just lost this ability for no apparent reason and AirDroid wants me to repeat the setup process. Not easy, with my 95 year old mother in another state. Hopefully I can walk her through it, using Teamviewer to see what she sees, telling her what to touch.
I sure hope TeamViewer gets what they need from Google to fully support this badly needed feature on Pixel and Pixel 2!!! My wife and my mom will both appreciate it, too.
Ron
Alpha VNC Lite does it without root! It's just a VNC server. The mouse and touch support are slow, but they work okay. On slower phones it's really painful, but on the Pixel it's fine. it's a bit pricey at $7 PER PHONE, but worth it if you need it.

AnyDesk works perfect on Pixel and Android phones (and PCs)!

I realize this is an old thread but, I just recently upgraded to a Pixel 2 (for $120 on Amazon) and when I recommended the Pixel family of phones (my new favorite phone, damn Google really does an excellent job with the entire user experience) now I'm wanting to remote into friends and families Pixel phones, and TeamViewer doesn't allow this!!!
I'm a long time TeamViewer user, and was really dissappointed about the lack of control on Pixel phones since I was able to control my LG and Samsung phones. TeamViewer's explanation about needing Google's authorization/help seemed like a reasonable and unavoidable issue that was out of TeamViewer's hands.
Then I happened along AnyDesk and OMG, it's a showstopper, it's so fast and capable I was blown away. At first it only offered "view only as well." But when I opened it a second time it asked about installing a Plug-in that would allow full control. Sure enough, I can remote into my phone from another Android phone or my computer. And the control is amazing. The Plugin is called "AnyDesk control plugin (ad1)" since I can't post a link.
I've since "upgraded" all my computers to AnyDesk from TeamViewer. In my opinion it is MUCH faster and more responsive, and CRAZY easy to setup and use. TeamViewer really was making the whole process more convoluted then necessary. Now it feels like I can instantly log into whatever PC or phone I want, so easy and fast compared to TeamViewer!!! Loving AnyDesk, and I highly recommend it!
